However, in my guide there is also another TWRP made for this device on a russian forum i have mentioned. It can backup EFS and more if I remember correctly!

i tried those ROM for my 3GB Variant A6020a46 , FHD screen, Snapdragon 616 and it will not working with my device. so be careful and make a twrp backup .

The K5(Plus) ROMS are all CyanogenMod based, not AOSP. I'd like an AOSP based ROM, with OMS support.

Is your phone a K5 or a K5 Plus?
For the specs, looks like a K5 (non plus).
These ROMs are designed for the Vibe K5 (or K5 Plus) which has a faster processor and a Full HD screen. I don't know if they'll work on your device.

Most of these ROMs work on your device. But, please, read and search in the threads. Some of them are optimized for Snapdragon 616 variant. ROMs developed by Shreps and Scritch, tho, are optimized for Snapdragon 415 variant.

Are there any bugs in the MIUI Rom tried by u?
Guys it's possible to go from 8.0 to 8.1 on nitrogen os. I just flashed 8.0(which I flashed with gapps) and just flashed 8.1 afterwards (without gapps) and it worked. Currently on 8.1 nos
Setup: rn3 pro Kate with nos and aroma 8.0 gapps. No need to wait for 8.1 gapps just upgrade nos from 8.0 to 8.1

Many users will think that this thread is useless.
But let them know that when the custom ROMs starts development then all of them will try to find index from here only.

i for one had no idea about globe rom and xiaomi.eu, for example, until i did some research about miui custom roms. just so happens that not every custom rom available for the mi max 2 has its own thread here on xda!
btw, there is another miui based custom rom called epic rom:

however, its not available (yet?) for the mi max 2, but a range of other xiaomi devices. maybe a dev would be interested to port it, based on a similarly specced xiaomi phone

As for reverting to MIUI stock rom, I can recommend the Xiaomi Tool: https://xiaomitool.com/
Otherwise, just make a complete TWRP backup of your current rom! Then, if you want to revert back to it, just restore within TWRP and youre good to go

yep, i saw that the second link is the whole archive. however, i found a direct link on the website of MultiRom that leads to the rom section specifically for Mi Max 2, so i thought that was probably easier to link to

Project Spaget and Project Butter Kernel can help you using Android 10, but if you flash any Rom Android 10, you will can't flash any Gapps and Youtube will not get your Google Accounts to load Video, Camera will not WORK !!! ( I Tried EvolutionX 3.0, Havoc OS 3.0 and Pixel Experience but all this Rom and gave me a plump zero ). Just using Android Pie, wait developer created update Project Spaget support fully Android 10, you can using Android 10 Custom Rom perfectly

OpenKirins AOSPA (from here - finds the smartwatch, but can't connect to)
Resurrection Remix OS (7.1.2 from here)
//18.12.19: also tested viper (7.1.2) - not working :/
none of the roms has working BLE (BT4) :/
I also tried to return back to EMUI 4.1, but the I get problems with rooting and TitaniumBackup restore..
