Hey guys I need help... I got my wife an unlocked AT&T LG G2. I set up the APN setting and the LTE was working but as soon as I don't have a strong signal the phone drops to gsm and it doesn't give me the options to include other frequencies on settings. I worked with T-Mobile to fix the issue but they don't have a fix. I was adviced to flash a T-Mobile stock ROM is this possible if the build model is different?
Hey guys. I have a question about Unlocked ROMS. Which one will allow you to access the APN menu? Every unlocked firmware i have flashed has this hidden, and i need to access the APN menu so i can add my T-Mobile/Metropcs settings. The phone is an original SPRINT S7 Edge. Please help me and thanks a bunch!!!
I'm moving to Australia soon and need GSM to work when I get there. My RAZR M was unlocked when I got it (mobile network settings were set to global) and I was wondering is GSM worked by default or if I had to change anything before hand. Any reply would be greatly appreciated. The only thing I've seen is an APN xml file for 4.0-4.4 but I doubt it will work since I am out of that range (6.0) and there are no APN settings even present in the Lineage settings menus. I need it to work with Telstra.

Nothing? really?
Hi XDA,
I've been reading up and following guides to root using DirtySanta. I just finished downgrading from 16B to 13A, and just about to start the root process.
However, I'm confused about afterwards how to get the right kernels/roms that I'm looking for. I read from this thread that I need a US995 ROM installed with a konvergence kernel (is this correct?) to enable me to get Tmobile LTE signal.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/how-to/verizon-lg-v20-vs995-poor-network-t-t3539491/page3
But since this thread is a bit dated...
- I want to know what are some recommendations for current US995 ROMs? Looking for either STOCK (restock?) or something that is recommended to many.
- Can someone point me to a kernel that is appropriate for what I'm looking for?
- A guide to installing kernels?
Thanks!
You can flash any rom you will get lte regardless, though you cant do Voice over lte. Make sure you have the proper Apn setting. Your verizon rom should only need to be switched to global mode and add the right apn for it to work, i used my ls 997 with a verizon rom, for my gsm carrier and it worked perfectly fine, just need like i said , the right apn settings.
how did u flash a verizon rom on your LS997?

Hello,
I've gotten my phone's bootloader unlocked, TWRP installed and have been flashing the available custom ROMs with no success to getting my mobile data to work. I don't have this problem running the stock ROM or MIUI.eu (which I'm currently using). I prefer to run the Lineage based ROMs if possible, but I cannot get the mobile data to work on any of them.
I've got into the APN settings on the phone to see what's up there, but I can't change any of the settings, they're all greyed out. I can change the APN settings on MIUI but it works fine anyway. I think the APN settings are wrong on the custom ROMs and would like to change them so they're right, but I can't do anything about it.
I'm with Virgin Mobile Canada, which uses Bell's network. Any Virgin users on here or anyone else have this problem?
