Am I correct to assume I just follow this thread to get xposed in my T580 (rooted, stock rom)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3180960
Just want to confirm I am not missing anything. I am new to Samsung and only now just reading that I need to be careful with xposed installl Thanks
Edit: Also, is T580 ARM or ARM64? The CPU is based off ARM Cortex-A53 which is 64-bit but the architecture is reported a ARMv7-A?
That's what I used on my t550 and it worked fine.

Installed the apk. Went to start TWRP and got "Custom Binary Blocked, FRP locked". I hit home, volume down, and power and got to a "Odin Mode" with "Downloading...." but now everything is locked.
Regular power up gives the same "Custom Binary Blocked" message in small red text up top and then powers back down. I can't get into TWRP to even run the uninstaller (or the installer for that matter).

Sounds like you had reactivation lock enabled on your Samsung or Google account, which is a big no-no if you are doing any sort of flashing or customization

You also should have enabled developer settings, then enabled OEM unlock.

I don't think I do. Not using Samsumg and Google account was not select for that.
I am trying to flash stock back from Odin. Any ideas how to get this to work this time? Issue arose when I installed the xposed apk but before I flashed the framework in TWRP

Probably not on Google account, but I believe Samsung turns it on by default, you may not have realised. Did you enable OEM unlock?
Idk how to fix, I've never had that issue, I just know what causes it to prevent the issue when flashing. It's a general Samsung issue, not specific to this device. You should be able to Google a solution.
Make sure that you are flashing the same firmware you had before. Flashing will fail in Odin if you try to rollback by flashing an older firmware

Edit: OK. Odin flash of stock ROM worked. Strange that all the apps were not wiped. I did lose root of course.

Then the only possibility is that FRP was enabled on your Samsung account

I do not have a samsung account. How do I disable? (Other than OEM Unlock which I did). Note that in download mode, FRP Lock = OFF
Edit: TWRP now back in. Root restored. Titanium now reinstalling backups. Just need to know what I did wrong with xposed. TB seemed to have bugged out google and I am now in "Google Play" and "Google App" have stopped infintite loops....
OK. Let's try this again. I am back and fully functional. I want to install xposed. The procedure should be to install the apk then flash the framework. When I go into download mode, I see FRP Lock is OFF. But last time, after installing the apk, the FRP was triggered and would not let me into TWRP. Thoughts on next steps?
Well, I decided to reverse the order. Install framework first and then the apk. This worked.
I have no idea why the apk triggered the FRP; I know OEM unlock was enabled. Anyway, xposed in there now (and quietly hiding ADB debug from the new, annoying Spectrum app)

Here we go. This is for S320VLUDU2API3 firmware, but probably works on any revision 2 firmware.
KNOX should remain 0x0
Instructions
1. Enable OEM UNLOCK
In Settings>About>Software info tap the build number 7 times to enable developer options. Once you've enabled developer options, developer options will appear in settings just above the About device option. Open developer options, the 4th or 5th option should be “OEM Unlock”. Turn on.
2. Flash the eng boot image.
This is a special boot image normally used by engineers, it allows selinux to be booted in permissive mode with relaxed root restrictions.
Do not replace this image with the stock image after rooting your device or you will possibly soft brick your device.
(See below for how to recover)
ENG_BOOT_S320VL_API3
3. Install boot image:
Download Odin v3.11.1
Reboot Phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the ENG_BOOT_S320VL_API3.tar to AP / PDA
Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes
Reboot
Check in Settings>About>Software, your device should be in Selinux permissive mode.
4. Install and run Kingroot:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/one-click-root-tool-android-2-x-5-0-t3107461
Make sure you have an internet connection.
You may need to run Kingroot several times to gain successful root.
5. Install and run SuperSU me to remove Kingroot and convert to SuperSU (not required) :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...ore&pcampaignid=APPU_1_uzPDVbGyFcGNyATHrqmoCA
6. Wifi fix:
modify the line below in /system/build.prop:
ro.securestorage.support=true to false
Recovering from a soft brick:
Flash the stock firmware provided below wirh ODIN
https://firmwarefile.com/samsung-sm-s320vl
Good luck I hope it works for you.

Does it reboot itself as soon as SuperSU me installs supersu? That's probably the reason for root not sticking.
You could try the script below, I have confirmation it still works for the same procedure.
Steps 3 to 12.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...ide-how-to-root-tripping-knox-kitkat-t3129484
Obviously use updated apps and don't flash the boot partition.
You will also need to flash the system version of SuperSU not EverRoot.
When you get to step 12, don't flash the firmware.
Disable EverRoot and just flash this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/v2-64-2-66-supersu-mode-t3286120
That should give you permanent root.
Sorry, but I don't use any of those apps you posted.

It's not related to the bootloader, the bootloader is still locked, it's simply an incomplete installation of SuperSU. Probably due to permissions.
Follow the guide posted above and you should be good. I'd also suggest using root package disabler to disable knox.
Hit search in the app and type knox. Disable all knox related files.

So even when flashing root with Flashfire still losing root? Did you try using the script posted above?
Also could you post a screenshot of Root validator after losing root?
I would also suggest flashing the stock firmware with FLASHFIRE.
Ensure to Uncheck the boot partition and disable EverRoot.
Add the system supersu zip to the install.
It may be remnants of Kingroot causing the issue. Flashing this way will ensure a clean system with just supersu.
Having the same problem
I can't even do the OEM unlock and wondering if Knox is stopping me from doing it. Kingroot gets to about 77% before giving up. Also tried "one click root" and "odin" and a couple of others. Tried to uninstall Knox with many different aps but noway will it let me. I bought this J3 in HongKong and it is full of crap and adds that pop up and cover the whole screen. I have had some negative affects on the phone with all the playing around I've done to the point where when I hold down the buttons (power volume etc) the phone just goes into its first normal boot screen and stays there. Hope I haven't hijacked the thread but thought I may have the same problem as the original thread poster

I was surprised at first when you directed me to this thread ashyx, the first word I saw was Kingroot and I was sure a dev such as yourself wouldn't use that.
I write against Kingroot all the time. It is information stealing malware that doesn't even give true root, packs PUPs, and sends IMEI and other info to China upon install (check the logcat).
And it's nortoriously hard to get rid of and replace with a different SU. From what I read above, true root hasnt' been achieved yet. Ive used KR a few times in the past, but never again. It used to be easier to replace KingUser w SuperSU. Not so much anymore.
Please folks, Kingroot IS NOT actual root ; please quit posting about it in a true professional developer site.
Ahyx, PM me if you wish. I'd like to work on any methods other than this. I can get the bootloader unlocked from Net 10. But not until having it hooked up w/ lthem for a year. I've already chosen to disconnect this device anyhow because I can't stand using a non-rooted phone. Too bad, it's a good machine. I got a great buy on it. $50US brand new. Same store today $99. WalMart = $120
I just bought an LG G3 for $45. Verizon model, interesting root. I had to downgrade firmware to achieve root. It's TWRPd, and running Dirty Unicorns 10.6, a nice rom, better once I mod it.
Tried the latest RR rom for it. Nougat was cool, but too early, too many bugs.
Does anyone find a working method with this model ?
I have tried different ones but none is working, even downgraded the firmware to the oldest one I could find.
Be aware that a certain method will not work with every model, even the same model it may work with certain builds only.
Samsung continues update security patches to fix loopholes that people are using to bypass FRP, so when posting a working method, please be specific: what model and build you did bypass successfully.
Since no one has the solution, I search and find this method.
The firmware must be downgraded to PH3. Current firmware is QA4. This is for US firmware; other regions with the same version might not work.
This method use Talk Back to open Chrome, then download Google Account Manager, Quick Shortcut Maker, then ES File Explorer.
You need Samsung and Google accounts to use this method . When TalkBack is ON, double tap to open, use two fingers to roll up and down.

Can you tell me where to find that version? I'm assuming that I need to flash it with Odin. Is that right?
https://samsung-firmware.org/downlo...0, Wi-Fi)/9z98/XAR/T280XXU0APH3/T280XAR0APH3/
This is the version works with TalkBack method. Make sure you are familiar with the touchscreen when Talkback in on, which requires double tap and two fingers to roll up and down. As usual, you always flash firmware with Odin.
There's is a simpler way to bypass FRP on this device.
No need for a Samsung account or to downgrade account manager.

Press HOME button 3 times at the first page of setting to turn TALK BACK or Voice Assistant ON, then watch the video.
Draw the L to turn on global setting then follow steps to get the Chrome browser. You may to try the L many times.
You have to tell what you did, otherwise nobody has no idea how to help you. Many users did not follow steps properly, that's reason they failed.
This bypass FRP is a piece of cake if you do it properly.

If you are able to downgrade to Android 6, then it's not impossible to unlock FRP.
Here is alternative way and faster:
-Download Quick Shortcut Maker 2.4 and Google Account Manager 6 , then save them in your SD card.
-Use Assist to open Google Search page, then type My File
- You should see your SD card, open the two needed apps and install them.
- The rest is the same as other method.
I'm hoping this method is still viable, the downgrade method. I recently came into some samsung tablets that were crytpo erased but are still frp locked. Hoping to salvage them. I tried a method for auto enabling adb, involved downloading a firmware and then using this tool to remake the firmware which was supposed to 'auto enable adb' didn't work for me. I tried obviously just flashing the firmware and that was successful however, still frp locked. I couldn't find the exact firmware mentioned above. Is there a way to see what firmware i'm on from a locked device? I haven't figured out how myself if there is. Open to any suggestion at this point. Looking over this lot of 30 + tablets

It will always be viable because Samsung don't bother updating this device.
However there is any easier way that doesn't require messing about downgrading.
You will need the combo boot image though or an adb enabled boot image.

It will always be viable because Samsung don't bother updating this device.
However there is any easier way that doesn't require messing about downgrading.

Hello, glad to see your reply. And you seem to be talking about exactly the method I tried.
I followed this guide here
I used this firmware T280XXU0APC5_T280XAR0APC5_HOME.tar
I used the tool and made the adb enabled file to flash
flashed with odin, it was successful, however, i am unable to access the device via adb after flash...
perhaps there is a step i'm missing?

After flashing the adb enabled firmware and the device reboots and i plug back into the PC, it just shows up under {Portable Devices} as Galaxy Tab A (2016) I do have the Samsung drivers installed.

Willing and able to give the combo image you are talking about a try if you can point me in the right direction.
@ashyx Still looking for that combo image. I'm a little apprehensive to download some thing's i've found when looking. Any chance you can suggest one you know works? Thanks in advance.

^ Like the title says, its locked and I don't know what the best course of action is..
Ive tried all possible "bypasses" that exists on y-tube and such, with no success.
How should I proceed? What should I do?....
I don't have any experience with rooting/flashing a device, I'm a complete noob at this..
Thank you for your time...
Try Samsung FRP Helper V0.2. This worked for my Tab 4 8 Plus.

See if you can reset the device using the 'Lenovo Smart Moto Assistant'. Since it works in edl mode, it just might work.

I thank you both for the possible solutions!! I will try both of them as soon as I get home. This brings me a tad of hope.. its been used as a paperweight for a year.. thank you. I will update on the results..

A reset won't work, that's the whole purpose of Google's FRP. Notwithstanding the latter, OP can certainly reinstall a fresh copy of Android onto the tablet using smart Moto, and then use the Samsung FRP helper tool, reboot and should be good to go...or can just use the helper if OP doesn't want to reinstall Android.
I BELIEVE that the Samsung tool only works on Android 7.1.1 and below.

That's what I suggested, the tutorial I linked would flash a fresh stock image of android on to the tab from edl mode, wiping everything. Honestly, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

What I meant is that OP would still need to use the Samsung tool after a fresh install using the Moto Assistant. I had to do the same with my Tab 4 8 Plus
This may be a little bit late but this is how managed to solve the problem.
I used the Moto Assistant to reflash the Tab to an older firmware, then I could use exploits to gain access to the tab and re-add my google account (more information how-to on youtube) and then factory reset it through the proper method in security settings.
Now it runs as it was new, just took me a solid few days.
Also, why this happened; My sister used the wrong pin code to unlock it, it got locked, she reinstalled it with force through "bios" and then she forgot her google password.. This is where it went south.
If you change your google password after you have forced the reinstall, you cannot use the new google password to confirm this is actually your tab.
Therefore it was locked in this state where it couldn't or wouldn't recognize the new google password.
God damn you google.

i know there are a few ways to root the S10+, now we are a half year futher and my question is; what is the easiest way to root the S10+???? because i can't get it done.....
Dont rkot you will regret it
Hi, you can root only if you own an Exynos model, check this first...
The easiest way is to root with magisk without twrp in my opinion, all instructions are in S10 Rom thread, it is the same for S10+. Remember that it will trip KNOX and you will not be able to use Samsung pay, all other apps as far as i know you can get work properly. For me SPay was not relevant, because it is not working in my country.
I have rooted my phone a month ago, installed AdAway and AfWall, some addition open sourse apps and i am totally happy with it=)

I am stuck on canary Magisk not allowing me to patch the standard AP file I loaded onto my phone. It constantly spins "Checking for updates" and never lets me go to install and then patch the AP. Yes I have booted into recovery and erased al data and caches and checked that OEM unlock is greyed out and boot loader is unlocked.

Issues rooting
Hey guys,
I am having issues rooting an S10 +, I used the guide to patch the AP file using magisk and then flashed it using odin, followed the rest of the guide to the letter.
Then once the device finally booted, it showed me the set up screen, then we back to the Samsung splash screen and had a a warning in red across the top of the screen that said "Only official binarys are allowed" and just kept on boot looping.
I then flashed the stock rom using odin, I have used the same process on an S10 without any issues.
Does anyone know where I may have gone wrong ?

Hi I'm having the same problem!
I found a solution because I wanted to restore the root of the device because I needed it
Hi all
Android Recovery
samsung/dreamltexx/dreamlte
8.0.0/R16NW/G950FXXU4CRL2
Flashed firmware today from G950FXXU4CRJ5 to G950FXXU4CRL2
Also an Exynos not Snapdragon
I have another post on the go https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3967187
I am trying to get in to my mum's phone which she has been locked out of by her nasty ex husband. It has a 6 digit pin code for the lock screen.
I have tried flashing same and new firmware as I thought maybe that will reset some settings but it didn't.
She has photos on there that she doesn't want to lose... and I cannot guarantee that they can be saved if we do a factory reset.
Is there a chance that if a custom rom was flashed it would make the phone accessable so I can get any files I want from it?
The phone is Australian so I am guessing I cannot just flash any old files, like with flashing firmware.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Lee
Custom roms have different user partition therefore not compatible with stock rom. But if you have twrp installed you can remove the files wich store the lock info , simply reboot to twrp go to filemanager browse to /data/system and remove all files with .key extension and files named locksettings

do not flash a ROM. The storage has a very strong possibility of overwriting the pictures. Best thing you can do is boot it into DL mode, throw TWRP on it, allow superuser access within TWRP and ADB into it. Also, just because it is an Australian market phone doesnt mean it needs some special firmware. You can flash pretty much any 950F firmware on it

Unfortunately my mum is not tech savvy so TWRP is not installed, developer options not active and oem unlock not unlocked.
Yes that is all I want to do is access files to delete lock screen files.
Thanks for your advice

Can you install TWRP through DL mode? I think I tried and it came back with FRP lock. I will try again though... can you recommend a version or TWRP that will work through DL mode please? If not I'll have a search for one.
I tried to flash UK firmware and it didn't work, but thats not an issue.
Once I have TWRP I'll be sorted, its just getting it on there to enable me to ADB in to it. Will I be able to ADB in to it if OEM is not unlocked etc...
Thanks for your reply
If you have frp lock on. Im sorry to say that you must wipe the data

FRP lock is gonna be tough to get around and the only real way to install TWRP is via DL mode

im sorry to say this, but youre probably effed with FRP lock enabled and no develpoer options enabled, so without paying for an unlock service outside of XDA, which very well might cause this post to get removed. Ill tag someone who might be able to help, but if he can help, it will cost you some money. @Nodial you and your colleagues have any methods to help this fella out?
Thanks for the replies guys, yes I had a feeling when I came across the FRP error I would of hit the end of the road...
Might have to either bite the bullet and pay up or factory reset and see what I can recover.
Thanks again guys
