g935u firmware updates - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions & Answers

semi-noobish question, but would the g935u firmware get updates on the g935a hardware? I never could find a concrete answer.
posted this question in the wrong thread a while ago on the g935f forums that the xda app likes to default to even on stock g935a firmware, so rectifying that.

I got the Dec update in early Jan on mine, so to answer your question, yes.

Thanks.

Successfully Downgraded Firmware

As stated in the title, I've managed to bypass the locked bootloader and flash pc8 firmware from pd8 firmware. It didn't seem I had any restrictions to what I flashed in Odin. Just looking for suggestions before I post how.
Bought the phone with pd8 firmware, downgraded to bl, ap,csc to pc8 firmware
Got ahead of myself

So we're you able to downgrade or not? I been having issues with the July update and wanted to go back to may.
Awhile ago I tried flashing back to I guess to feb update and kept getting errors.
Try the odin modified version that comes with the rooting package for s7 qualcomm USA version.
It's all over the net.

Thanks for the idea, but it didn't work sadly. Same error [aboot] 3 > 2 failed.
Oh well, I am hoping the unlocked firmware thats out will be updated to v3 bootloader soon.

Bump.. anyone have the PHE firmware for download?
it could be here
http://samfirm.net/threads/update-safely-firmware-galaxy-note7-all-model-22-09-2016.119/
but the 930A hasn't been updated. Every other firmware for the update has. So I wonder what AT&T is waiting for. I don't have an AT&T sim so I can't update
Bump - looking for the SM-N930A firmware that is compatible with phones that have already been upgraded to PHE build

Nougat 7.0 official firmware S7 Edge Australia Flash

Hi guys,
Sorry if this has been asked already, did a search and nothing came up.
Is there any nougat 7.0 firmware that I can flash in Odin that will work okay with Telstra network in Australia?
I have the Nougat Beta 1 currently on there but would like the official update but it still looks like being a few months away before OTA here.
I checked Sammobile and they only list 6.0 Marshmallow updates for Aus. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks all
Anyone? Would appreciate some help Sorry for the noob question. If it's in the wrong place let me know and I'll post there. Cheers!
Telstra have the OTA coming out now if you want to be legit, otherwise I've had the XSA one on my phone since release working great

Newest Firmware update?

Has anyone been able to find the latest version of the ATT Nougat S7 Edge firmware? I took the OTA earlier this week but would like to have a backup of the software. The version I have updated to is G935AUSC4BQE1
Or am I asking too soon? I know they post the latest on this area of the forums, but was just wondering if anyone has seen it yet. I have checked the sammobile and android file host, but no luck.
Thanks

identifying proper firmware

This has to be a complete newb question but how come when I search on sammobile or updato there isn't an AT&T firmware under SM-G950U, but rather it's always under SM-G950U1?
Example - SamMobile for U1 -- lists AT&T firmware
But SamMobile for SM-G950U, although it lists several carriers, does not have AT&T.
Background: My wife and I both got AT&T branded S8s. I got mine through Samsung.com, she got hers through Best Buy. Mine had no problems receiving OTAs. Hers is still stuck with software from April and will not receive OTA updates nor will it update via SmartSwitch, so I was just going to flash latest AT&T via odin, but only seeing software under 950U1, I just wanted to make sure I was downloading the right one (currently this one, I believe)
@mhh84,
You can download the .zip files for AT&T updates from here, and ADB sideload them > https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s8/how-to/adb-sideload-servers-t3647117
Thanks but I'm not sure that answered my question or helped me. Her phone is on April security patch. The page you linked seemed to have incremental updates but doesn't go back to April.

You can download AQF7 from this thread (post #5), then follow the step by step incremental updates from the first post that I linked. > https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s8/how-to/att-software-update-g950usqs1aqf7-t3625728
OK, thanks @cam30era. I'm still a little unclear about my initial question though. Is the answer that AT&T firmwares aren't available or that for some reason they all just are classified under U1? I guess I want to know why it's better to do 5 incremental updates like this rather than just grabbing the August AT&T firmware from updato/sammobile. That was my original plan. I just got confused why the AT&T showed up under U1 rather than U.

I can't tell you the "why", but from observation I can tell you that there are no Odin download links for AT&T firmware updates after April. Using @norbarb thread for ADB sideload appears to be the only way to update if you're not getting OTAs.
