I need a help form pro - Huawei P9 Lite Questions & Answers

Hi, few days ago I updated my phone from MM to N. I did it with Huawei firmware finder on my phone but the update was OTA, not FULL. I did not have the unlocked bootloader, did not have root or something like that, I was pure stock (VNS-L21c432b160). After I updated it the phone booted up normal but I dont have some stock apps like clock, calendar, calculator and also some parts of settings are missing and now my build number is NRD90M test-keys.
Does anyone have time and goodwill to help me solve this problem and go back to MM?
Thank you in advance!

But why would he need gapps??? Do you understand that gapps are just Google apps that you flash in recovery. He is trying to go to Stock EMUI...

Guys, thanks for your interest, I appreciate it. as @dariomrk said I want to go back to MM from bad nougat update but i dont know how

Dariomrk thank you
Velimir if you dont want repair gapps, u can downgrade by guide in revolution rom... It is simple to do it...

Hisuite and USB-debugging both works fine. There is update in settings, but it's still missing local update optionbut it can be found from project menu.

I'am not sure, but i think it depends much the stage where it fails if it fails. Be sure that your fastboot is unlocked so you can flash custom recovery if necessary. update process is quite slow so take a cup or two of coffee while waiting.
My older messages contains links to twrp image of b511 and you can use it to go back to lollipop if all goes as wrong as it could go

No! It's only for TL09.
Question for all others: is there way to save stock recovery from B513 to pc before flashing TWRP or is there way to extract only recovery from update.zip file ? Or is there somewhere to download B513 stock recovery ? I'm asking this question for later update to newer version of MM...
Because I can't flash stock recovery from for example B331 to B513 ? Right ?

Given you have to unlock the bootloader and install a custom recovery first, I do not think you can. But maybe someone can say otherwise.

You can do nothing. You need to get on Marshmallow because you installed a wrong version.

hi guys. I updated my p9 lite the same way (proxy finder) but after the update I made a full data wipe and now I have no keyboard and I can't bypass the google account. And because of the full wipe i don't have the recovery to flash the 2nd .zip file to enable the other apps, so im stuck :-s. I´ve tried to flash the .zip file via dload method but with no results. Can you help me?? thanks in advance

First of all I know my English is really bad but anyway..Is your bootloader unlocked? If so you can just install twrp and flash the zip file. And if it's not.. You need to get into fastboot mode in order to unlock it and install twrp.. And to do that you need to first turn your phone off then plug in your charger and quickly press and hold the power and volume down buttons before the screen turns on.. Now you're in Fastboot mode..Now search on Google or xda how to unlock and get the bootloader unlock code..and install twrp for nougat..you know.. I don't know if you can find the nougat twrp here on xda but I think you can get it from htcmania.com :victory: I hope that helps

Softbricked my Mi 9T

Hi all, not sure if this is the right place to ask but I have become a little desperate. I had installed the EU Rom and in a moment of stupidity factory reset my phone and there was no recovery so I was stuck in a boot loop. I have since tried recovering but have been unsuccessful. What tool should I be using to flash the fast boot rom, and its it the TAR file I use? Am a bit confused by all this, thanks.
you could read how to use fastboot & adb command line - getting some knowledge this way.
Or you might want to check out xiaomitool maybe you will be able to fix it with this

Yes, it won't seem to power off, just boot loops, but can still fastboot

So imo, you'll be able to flash fastboot rom from there using MiFlash. But I'm not 100% sure so do it only at ur own risk

How to get back to stock and locked BL?

Hi!
I'm currently on Xiaomi EU beta, MIUI 11, android 10. I'm going to sell this phone and want to go back to stock global and then locked bootloader. I need some help. Tried downloading xiaomi flash tool, but I get an error message when trying to install drivers. Can I just flash the fastboot image of MIUI 10 global stable? Or will there be any rollback problems? Can I flash the .zip in the chinese TWRP?
Hoping for some answers. thanks

You can try to flash "Recovery" ROM image and flash it via TWRP yes.

I tried to run it as administrator. Still the same error. It wouldn't be a problem downgrading from miui 11 to miui 10 just by flashing zip?

I can't tell you if it will work without issue... I think the best solution is using "Fastboot" method.
Be careful not to trigger Anti RollBack protection (ARB) when downgrading, this could brick your smartphone.

Ah yes it seems that if you flash through xiaomi tool or fastboot there is a check before flashing the ROM that can be rejected if the RollBack index is incompatible. Just avoid flashing an older miui version from TWRP, or check the RollBack index before. https://www.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-anti-rollback-protection-brick-phone/

Wtf? MIUI 10 and 11 have the same ARB version. What "brick" are you writing about?

I didn't know they had the same ARB version, but I just wanted to warn, you have to be very careful when performing a downgrade. If I had to downgrade, I would check the ARB index just to be safe. There have been devices bricked before because of ARB on Xiaomi devices according to this article https://www.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-anti-rollback-protection-brick-phone/ and others. Better safe than sorry.

I never pretended to know whether the ARB index was different or not, I just said it would be a good idea to check. Thanks for bringing your huge knowledge in and giving us more information!
