Rom/Customization help - LG V20 Questions & Answers

Hey internet! I am looking for a way to get the customization features that a rom would offer. Like gravitybox or something similar without Xposed. I most interested in long press volume skip. Its a necessity for me. Any thing like that? Stock roms with customization options? Thanks, Z.

I would rather not bother a mod over something as trivial as an incorrect posting. They are busy im sure.

That's how you do it though they are the ones that move them lol

CLOSEDOven Ice Cream EvoIce Cream Sandwich 4.0.3*WIP*Please report what works and doesn't work! This helps me a lot.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS AS A DAILY DRIVER
This ROM is a WIP and is based off of EvoDeck. Currently I am trying to get the camera and 4g working plus a little extra. I have included GAPPS to save you time. Most everything works, except camera and 4g(which is what we're working towards). It also is very laggy, so this is just for a 5 minute test when you flash it. At least, for now.

Why didn't you just go comment on 10 posts first so you could post this in the dev section?

That and someone they know nothing about. I'm sure if I dev'd again, people might flash it blind folded, only cuz a few people have seen me.
And also, wish you the best of luck with your rom. Best PM a moderator so this can get moved to the dev section.

One thing to consider, you'll have to take the gapps out of the rom and make them a separate zip. The gapps are copyright by google.

The title says all, I haven't seen any thread or found with the search so I create this one. I would like to change the softkeys so if anyone has different softkeys show them off here I'd like to have new softkeys.

I didn't mean to add more softkeys, what I meant is change the look of them. Sorry for the missunderstand.
Thank you. I'm glad someone finally said this. There is actually some nice mods for the nexus 7 over in their thread. It would be nice if someone made these same mods for the 10. If I knew how I would.

Just head over to the Candy Shop and find a bunch of modified soft keys. They were made for the Nexus 4 or Galaxy Nexus but will work on the Nexus 10. The only thing that won't work are the lockrings but there are instructions in the thread on how to modify those to work on the tablet. Search Candy Shop on XDA.

Figures, the one file I didn't look in.
You can grab CleanROM from the VZW Development section. It's largely unmodified/stock, with only non-essential bloat stuff removed. The base framework is sufficient.

How does S2W work?

Hi, I just tried out Touch Control and its amazing. I want to know how does sweep to wake work.
I read the developer saying the digitizer turns off when you lock the screen, so basically how does the phone monitor my touch? Also, will using this for a long term have any effects on my touchscreen? I hope not, because I'm hooked to this.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Bump, I can't believe no one is even interested in how it works. I really want to know?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
I dont know, Im using touchcontrol with doubletap2wake and works fine, better than s2w, battery life seems the same and it does work even after hours with the screen off
I've been using it since january-february without any effects/issue on my touchscreen, my phone is almost 1 year old

Will do. Thanks.

Actually I asked here since this question is more related to swipe to wake and not the app which I believe is just an interface to toggle kernel specific settings.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
Is not that no one is interested is that when people want to find out things they generally search them. If you do some searching you will probably find all the answers you need. Also ill effects can only be determined on your end by simply testing out the app.

I've searched enough for this and I couldn't find one thread, one website answering my question. Perhaps you could research too on your behalf, and see if it's at least there after searching, before blabbering like the rest of the idiots here? I don't mind the 150 people who didn't answer, its because they didn't know the answer. But you had to mimic others and say the same things all over again. SEARCH! SEARCH! Yes Sir, I already have, so shut up.
Also, I'm not interested in breaking my touchscreen just "to see the I'll effects". What the **** is wrong in asking a question?

hahahahaha your cute... nothing wrong with asking a question but the same question over and over is like a nagging woman... but its ok my bad do you hope you find your answer or maybe there is no answer to give you since the developer may not want to give out his secrets. Maybe simple testing of your own rom on your own phone will tell you about battery life but oh well... I am just a blabbering fool... keep bumping your own thread and good luck my friend :good:

DSIXDA Android Kitchen Support? Aroma support?

As of yesterday i have officially gotten the Galaxy Note 3 in my hands! With that being said i am now going to start development and try and get an awesome ROM out to you guys! Before i start i must know if DSIXda's android kitchen works with this device. And also if Aroma Installer is supported with this device. Really looking forward to start development and get a few Roms out there for you guys but i gotta know this first. Also feel free to let me know what you would like to see in a ROM, especially what kind of theme. My ROMs do have a history of having some kick a** sound mods in them so do expect that!

well, your reasoning might be good. Is it the Samsung crapware on the bootloader? I am not being funny, it's just that your answer was very brief and I couldn't see whether you had done any dev work on your member profile. If you have a particular and valid reason I would be interested because I am just learning and atm trying to figure out how to complile a cm11 for n3 9005 model.

I'm a note 2 device maintainer for aokp but that's irrelevant. Locked bootloader + no way to flash kernels + no loki/kexec type option = no aosp roms of any kind. Don't waste your time.
