Flashing SM-G935F's rom (Turkey) on g9350 phone(china mainland) - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

It seems S7 edge in Turkey has Exynos cpu(not sure) and the one I purchased in China has snapdragon 820.
1) Can I flash the Turkish rom on my phone?

looking at getting a Samsung Galaxy S5 and have noticed that they are not the same models. ie. G900I, G900F etc. could anyone explain the difference please. i am in Australia by the way. thanks
Basically the region and/or the cell provider. There's a list somewhere on XDA that goes over each model.

I believe all the ones that aren't CDMA?
From GSMArena:
Samsung Galaxy S5
Available as:
Samsung SM-G900F - for Europe
Samsung SM-G900I - for Asia
Samsung SM-G900K/G900L/G900S - for Korea
Samsung SM-G900M - for Vodafone
Samsung SM-G900A - for AT&T
Samsung SM-G900T - for T-Mobile
Samsung SM-G900V - for Verizon
Samsung SM-G900R4 - for US Cellular
Samsung SM-G900P - for Sprint
As for which one for Australia, I have no idea. I believe that for other devices Australia uses the EU model, so it's likely that one. But I can't guarantee it.
I'm from Malaysia but here have f version only and in Indonesia only version h

The official australian version is G900I since G900F doesn't support some of the LTE frequencies (700Mhz and 2300Mhz).

May I know how can I flash SM-900F firmware on an SM0900I Galaxy S5 as the Australian SM-900I firmware has some limitations?

Search for 'Odin' in the forums and download the firmware from www.sammobile.com.

People really shouldn't flash firmwares that are not meant for your phone. While they might be 99% identical, there are some differences like the 3g/4g bands that the device supports.

I bought the G900F in Hong Kong and works perfectly well in Australia on Vodafone 4G. I also flashed the UK BTU firmware over the stock ZHU firmware and simply brilliant.
I think you limit yourselves buying the G900I version as the G900F has far more options for flashing stock firmwares, and works perfectly well in Australia. The G900I version reminds me of the S4 Mini (i9195T version) which was Vodafone/Telstra only and never received the 4.3 update, or any others for that matter.... Better to get a phone that has world wide coverage, than one that's limited to Australia if you care about timely updates.
FYi, if you check www.samfirmware.com, you'll see that the listed G900I is only Australia and Taiwan... G900F is everything from Europe to Asia.
I have the G900H in south America.
I bought S5- SM-G900F from Dubai airport and wanted to know if it will work in India/US
thanks for info
am just wondering if compatability of different models and 4G coverage
Thanks
I have a SM-G900F phone in Australia for last 2 years., and have no problems whatsoever.

Change G935V firmware to G935F Telcel Mexico

Hi . Can someone help ? What happends to my S7 edge verizon phone if i change the firmware for the g935F (i think is the international and exynox processor) and download the Telcel (mexico) rom in sammobile.com ? , Im living now in Mexico with this verizon phone , its already unlocked and working fine with Telcel carrier here but i want their firmware too. thanks
You can't since it's a different chip. What you can do is flash the 935U firmware though. It won't be carrier firmware though, it's pretty much just a stock Samsung firmware for the Snapdragon variant.

Looking for stock dual sim snapdragon odin package

Title says it all, I have not yet found a stock odin package for the dual sim snapdragon s7. Anyone know how to change the csc's? I want to set this as a US device because right now the calendars have a bunch of chinese holidays.
well you need the TGY Hong Kong Firmware. Also this is for S7 Edge I assume you have SM-G9350 the only S7 edge that is bootloader unlockable? I'll give you a stock firmware link for this specific model ONLY. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=312978532265363995

Yes this is the bootloader unlockable s7 edge with the snapdragon. Thanks for the link. You know of any way to purge all the Chinese crap off the device? (QQ and local calendars).

Difference between s8 AUS and s8 HK.

I've just brought a s8 HK and I was wondering is there any real difference in the phones. If so what are they. Sorry for silly question. I have no idea about TECH STUFF. Thanks ..
Not really, the HK one is possibly a dual sim, which i dont think was available in Aus. You've most likely got HK firmware on it so Samsung Pay may not work (i bought mine from Kogan & it came with Singapore firmware, Samsung pay didnt work). You can flash australian firmware through ODIN & Samfirm without rooting/voiding your warranty (this wokred for me & now i'm able to use Samsung Pay). I'm not sure if the australian versions had a snapdragon or exynos chip

CRL3 firmware for S8 SM-G950FD

Hi,
I have SM-G950FD model of S8 and I want to flash CRL3. However, on sammobile, CRL3 is not available for "SM-G950FD" for INS CSC code. It is available for SM-G950F model number. Can I flash that firmware to my phone?

Yes you can flash, but you will lose dual sim, since the FD model is dual sim and F model is single sim.

Actually, both devices use the same firmware. Matter of fact, I just flashed G950FXXU4CRL3_G950FOXM4CRL1 on my DUO S8, followed by the Pie updates.

Yup, it's because the FD and the F uses the same CPU, ram...

That's correct. Unlike the 950U, which comes with a Snapdragon processor.
Slightly off topic, but does anyone know if the F or FD firmwares can be safely flashed on the N model (Korean variant, exynos)?
The N variant firmware on SAMmobile is always waaaay behind the other models.
