Got the update, I have no power button issues
I have had the update since this morning and so far I haven't had any issues with the power button. Is the fingerprint sensor not working or is it when you push the button? Is it only when you use it to turn it off or on or both?

Not sure if this has already been answered here, but we have three (3) stock LG V20 units from T-Mobile. Not sure why the 'blue font' link button that starts the download/install process does not show up on any of these phones.
Can anyone shed some light on this? Thank you.

Thank you. Here's what happened next and how I got it to work...
I am taking the time to detail this so that others that may have a similar situation with AdGuard or a similar app in operation may get a 'heads up' on this.
It just happened to be a few minutes after 11PM local time when I saw your reply, so I did not need to manually set the clock to 11PM for this detail, otherwise I would have done so.
The 'blue font' button did show up as it was after 11PM, but the message read something like 'attempt failed' and gave the option to retry, so I did retry...attempt failed again, and again...on all three phones.
I suspected that my ad blocker app (AdGuard) which happens to work very well, was most likely preventing the proper Android module from engaging and permitting the download.
I decided to just turn off AdGuard just for the update and install process to take place, as opposed to searching out the module in question from the AdGuard Apps Management list, and then create a filter rule to allow it to pass. Yep, I did it the lazy way, cause I'm tired and sick tonight.
As soon as AdGuard was manually turned off, the 'blue font' button then appeared on screen, allowing the download to be initiated.
The download and download verification process proceeded without a hitch, along with the subsequent installation, and integration into the OS on all three phones.
Many thanks again for your help.

There was a security patch on December 1st 2016 I think. Looking at your security patch that may be the reason Tmo isn't giving you the displayed button for the upgrade. Update your security patch to the December PATCH.

Hi all,
After searching for answers to this issue not only in this forum but elsewhere on the web, and failing to find any reference to it, I decided to create this thread.
I have a non-rooted Nexus 7 (2012), which received an OTA update to Android 4.3 some three weeks ago. I have successfully completed the updated, after which my device's build number became JWR66V. So far, so good. :good:
But, days later, my device displayed a new notification that a "System update [was] downloaded". I thought it could be a new, different update addressing bugs, so I "touch[ed] to install". Again, everything went smoothly. I checked however the build number and it was still JWR66V.
Days later, new notification: "System update downloaded". I installed it to get rid of the notification.
And again and again for the fifth time now. It usually happens after I reboot.
I wonder whether anyone is experience similar issue - and whether this is an issue at all.
Any help or information is highly appreciated.
Thanks!
Is your kernel 3.1.10-g1e8b3d8? Maybe there is some sort of mismatch.

Thanks for the reply, Groid, but this doesn't seem to be the issue.
As you can see from the two screenshots attached - one taken before I 'updated' (note the "System updated downloaded" icon on the top left corner) and the second after the 'update' - there is no difference between kernel and build number versions. In fact, I believe nothing happens whenever I 'touch to update' (i.e. install the 'new' update)...
I find this strange, even more so as I haven't read about other persons experiencing the same... it does not cause me trouble, but it's annoying and curious, therefore, any feedback is still welcomed.

Having the same problem on my n7, am rooted, but have a question: if I install this update will i lose root? Should i install ota rootkeeper?
I too have just noticed the update icon as of today's date, despite having successfully updated my tablet at the beginning of the month.
Unlike the OP my tablet was rooted and unlocked so I had to use the instructions in this thread

I'm having the problem on my N7 as well. Haven't found a solution yet. I'm gonna try searching more
maybe just re-flash it with 4.3 rom (using pc), and it should be ok
Sorry to hear you guys are experiencing same issue, but at least I'm not alone.
I'm still facing same issue. The New update icon shows up whenever I restart my n7. And it has successfully updated all the times. It's more annoying than anything, but, still, shouldn't be happening.

did you originally install 4.3 from the OTA?
i went from 4.2.2 to 4.3 via fastboot, and then received this update via OTA. and this hasn't happened to me. (yet, but hopefully not at all)
To remove the notification, long press the message in the notification dropdown, press the app info popup, and uncheck the show notifications box. This worked for me.

Installed
I installed it, nothing changed and i kept root.
That's because the latest 4.3 build is JWR66Y (the screenshots show JWR66V) which is a small update incorporating some critical security fixes. So that's probably why it's still prompting for an update.

I've got the same problem and that's how I got rid of it. Essentially, for one reason or another, the new update V->Y build fails.
According to this post on the ZTE forums, the OTA should be available in 24-72 hours for the US variant.

Well it's not obviously stated in the changelog, but it may be one of the "minor enhancements" in #7, although I doubt it. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

"adb logcat" on a computer while checking for the update on the phone. It will always list the update URL. It's a pretty big patch -- 376 MB. Boot and recovery are modified but no separate fastboot. So either that's been added into the normal partition commands, or it's still going to be an OTA to enable bootloader unlocking.
Can't wait to hear from the brave souls who update first have to say. I'm goign to keep my root/twrp for now

Security patch level at September 1, 'Backup account' no longer greyed out, tweeked signal strength indicator, audio no longer drops out when starting camera and probably a host of other tweeks under the hood.

Just got a software update notification on my G5. I don't see any version number or details, anyone else get the notification?
I just got it, did the update, and was wondering the same. I was hoping to get a surprise android 7 update. I guess it would be too much to ask for LG or any manufacturer to release an update with an android version released 6 months ago.
The one good thing I can say about apple. When they release an update it gets pushed out. They dont let the manufacture and then the carrier finger f#%^ it for a year before making it available.
AT&T update also
I also just got the update, in fact it's still installing ... Phone nows says Android Version 6.0.1, Kernel 3.18.20, Build MMB29M Software version H82011n ... no idea yet what is different
I just got the notification. I'm not installing it as long as the phone doesn't forcefeed it, that last H82011K buggered my phone pretty bad and it gives me flashbacks of bootloops and factory resets now when an update pops up.

It's only too bad Nougat is so greedy for battery. Look at that - 37 minutes screen on and I'm down to 48% left. Awful.
Not worth the upgrade IMO.

1.) Return to the USA, power down your phone and insert your active AT&T Sim card.
2.) Power your phone on and then go to settings>general>about phone>software update.
3.) Press "update now" and wait for update to finish.
Since you aren't yet on the H82011N firmware, you will have to repeat step 2-3 until you are on H82011N, before you can finally update to Nougat, which is H82020J.

I've been looking for a way to capture the actual file myself. Apparently it's impossible for the AT&T G5 because the bootloader is locked and no root is possible, which would be necessary to intercept and copy the actual OTA file.
These problems directly stem from the fact that AT&T will never release a KDZ or TOT for us because they're evil, and ultimately don't want their clients to gain root and potentially extend the life of their phone hardware via 3rd party Roms like CyanogenMod.
Since I am not a developer I am curious whether you can make anything that would for us with the nougat source code for the h820?

In case anyone was wondering, I just decided to test it myself. Before applying the update I re-enabled all of the packages because I read elsewhere that people had an issue if certain Samsung system apps were disabled. I did not uninstall AdHell2, just re-enabled all of the packages. The update went by without any problems and I then disabled all of the packages I want removed from the running system after the update.
The only thing I had to do to get back to my same modified config was re-run the ADB commands to restore the mobile data toggle.

Hi all. I've recently updated my newly acquired A2 to Android 10 from Pie. I tether my phone for many hours per day but the phone's Data Usage measurement of Hotspot & tethering is only ~20MB when I know I've used a few GB for the same date period. I don't know if this is a problem introduced in Android 10 or a problem that was there with Pie, as I've only recently started to use the phone. Does anyone else have this problem or know what's going on? thanks

Does anyone else have this problem or know what's going on? thanks

Android 10 version of Mi A2 still has all bugs from January it was realeazed, they don't fix anything. The only thing that maybe they have fixed is the performance. So I guess another bug.

Yes. It's such a shame - it's a well made and good value phone, but these small bugs make it annoying to use. Going custom is probably the best solution, but I don't think I'm ready for that jump yet. The choice of budget to mid range phones has increased a lot in the last couple of years, and Xiaomi no longer have the market to themselves, so it's their loss.
Does anybody have patched boot image?
There in information about call recording added in this update for MI A2. True?
@jorikello, I've applied the June update but there is no recording option when I make a call. Perhaps it's region specific because of local laws on recording - I am in the UK.
Somebody to report call recording availability after June update? I have not this option unfortunately... For me it's important functionality update.
