So me being stupid as usual, I uninstalled system apps without backing up my system partition... After uninstalling a few, it was ok, but when I got to trying to uninstall the Amazon Kindle app, system app remover seemed to fail at removing it and it installed back as soon as Id uninstall it. Not really knowing what was wrong, I used TB to uninstall it and my phone proceeded to reboot as soon as I clicked uninstall. The app remained on my phone and my phone became very laggy.. Freezing the app helped a lot, but I think this caused other issues over time. Eventually the phone will freeze entirely and reboot. Attempting to uninstall it from anywhere (Play store, system settings, TB) results in crashing as well even when its frozen.
What im wondering is if I should flash a rom, flash the Kdz, or just flash a clean system.img if someone could supply it... I have no idea what will fix this...

I don't really know what's going on and was hoping others may have come across this (although I didn't really see other threads on it). After updating to 4.3 and rooting I tried to uninstall root checker. It instantly restarted the phone after I confirmed I wanted to uninstall it. I try it again and the same thing. I try uninstalling another app and it restarts again. I try uninstalling from the play store and it restarts too. The apps never uninstall either.
Does anyone know of a fix other than flashing the stock image and starting from scratch?
Yeah you may have to reflash the image, the crash is so bad that it is not the system server crashing.
Maybe bad files.

I am having an issue with my Nexus 10. Some time after booting I get the message that the launcher is not responding and if I want to wait or kill the process. Whatever I do, the UI then completely freezes up and no longer responds to any touch input. I can turn the screen on and off, but the everything on the screen is just frozen, even the time.
I have TWRP installed and rooted the device, but it has a stock rom. I've tried wiping cache but that did not help. When starting the tablet in safe mode, the issue seems gone. What could be causing this issue?
If the problem does not occur in safe mode, then it is being caused by one of the apps that you've installed. You should go backwards uninstalling each of the apps you've installed starting with the last app you downloaded. Do this uninstalling while you're in safe mode.
If you can't remember the order in which you installed your apps, just uninstall them randomly. After you've uninstalled each app, boot in normal mode and see if you've fixed the problem. Keep uninstalling till you've identified the culprit app. Clearly, any app that is not the problem you can immediately reinstall.
If you want to solve the problem more rapidly, do a factory reset. But you will lose all your installed apps. You'll have to reinstall them one by one. Observe which one brings the problem. Then uninstall that app and never use it again.
I *still* setting up this phone for my daughter, and I'm starting to wish I had just coughed up a little more cash for an easier phone to work with.
I could not get a custom ROM installed... period. Even with flashing Magisk after the ROM, it would still bootloop to recovery and never boot system. I was, however, able to get magisk installed and the stock ROM rooted. She's used to LineageOS, but I figured she'd be just fine.
Magisk manager seems to be working fine, and Root Explorer allows me to delete from the /data/system folder, so I'm sure it's rooted, yet TitaniumBackup just does not seem to work. I'm trying to freeze/uninstall the stock bloat, but nothing happens. It says it's frozen and hidden from the app drawer, but it's not. The app is still present, and going back into the app in TiBu shows the "freeze" option again (instead of "defrost"). If I try and uninstall a stock app, it just hangs on "uninstalling" forever. Same thing if I try and restore a backed up application.
Thoughts?
Freeze app function won't work through titanium backup but the backup and restore app does work, just a little finicky. You have to change the app processing mode to interactive.
Other apps, specifically free ones like "appfreezer" do work to freeze the bloatware.
Seems to be Oreo related, never had an issue on Nougat.

Thanks for the info. Finicky indeed!
Hi All,
So I'm facing this weird issue, where my app updates from the Google Play Store don't seem to stick.
I started having this problem when I was using LOS, and I thought maybe the ROM was the issue. But then, I switched to OOS, same thing.
An app will update and play store will show all apps updated. Then after a few hours the app will update again, and then once more. Usually the update sticks after the third update.
Also, even though I haven't kept a log, but it doesn't seem specific to some apps, it appears to be the case with all apps.
I use Magisk for Titanium Backup. But nothing else.
Also, I thought this was an issue with apps restored with Titanium Backup, but that isn't the case.
PS: I haven't tried without Magisk, as I wouldn't want to use the phone without that.
Any ideas?

Currently using Magisk on OOS and I do not have this issue, so root isn't the issue. I think it may have to do with the play store itself, as it doesn't seem to actually update the apps until the third time like you said. The only two solutions I can come up with are as followed:
1. Hold down on the play store app and clear the data on it and then disable the app (Make sure the option to go back to the factory version comes up after you press disable) and then re-enable the app again. Open it and see what happens afterwards. The idea is to get the play store to re-update itself and fix the issue.
2. Get on a computer and fastboot flash OOS again and see if it persists after you get your phone set up again.

Hi.. Tried these already... The problem persists.
Hello
(device Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 2016)
Today i have downloaded Titanium Backup Pro and wanted to freeze knox to get rid of the annoying security notification. I had freeze some associated apps which contained "knox" in the name but did not help.
After then i uninstalled a few apps even system apps which i was sure i dont need (there was not many i have uninstalled, really i was sure i can without problem. one of them was youtube). after filtering out frozen apps i noticed that there is also system webview frozen and smart things which i am sure i did not freeze. i believe that titanium backup was bugged. I tried to defrost but it kept remaining frozen. so unfreeze does not work
I dont know if this caused issues with youtube vanced but before i could watch youtube vanced but now it was loading forever right after opening.
I decided to perform factory reset but not through system settings but booting into twrp recovery and ticking dalvik, data, cache and internal storage. After factory reset i realized that the previously uninstalled (debloated) apps through titanium backup arent restored back. I have read on the forum that by performing factory reset the uninstaled aps should be back. but they are not. why? even installing through adb back it gives "package installed" in the adb terminal but the app is nowhere.
And after clean reset and installing youtube from google play it keeps loading. I see only the bottom menu (Home, exlore, subscriptions, library), at upper part search bar and i can enter settings but the screen is white and is circling/loading forever.
I am afraid that i had accidentally uninstalled some important app through the bugged titanium backup and after factory reset i did not get it back so i cannot browse youtube and even youtube vanced (any of them)
What do they have in common?
(i have tried to reinstall back google packages all at once through newest adb and fastboot toolkit, it gave message "package installed to user 0" but nothing seems to happen on my tablet)
Please recommend me some solutions to solve my issue.
Thank you
