Just switched from Spotify family plan to Google Play Music, which includes YouTube Red AND YouTube Music. Viper4Android works perfectly with it for me...and it's all around better, but...is there ANY way to darken the theme? It's way too white! Would love a dark theme! I know we don't have Xposed yet...so I was just asking if anyone had any ideas...:highfive:
Never mind...substratum worked perfectly!
Thank you, TEAM BLACK OUT!
were you able to import your playlists from spotify to google music?

oh yeah and i have aurora 2.0.7
the easiest solution is to use another player. I use PlayerPro, IMO it's way better than Google Play Music.
i'm streaming my music trough google music
Hi all
Anyone here using Google Play Music?
Coming from a GN, I got used to the pure android stuff, Google Play Music being one of them.
I listen to music streaming from Google Music in my car on my phone (connected via 3.5 jack to my aux) almost every day, with the GN when I wanted to skip a song\pause\play I would've simply turn on the screen and use the lock-screen Google music thingie that popped there every time Google Play Music was running, but now it doesn't seem to be implemented into the s4, so I need to swipe down the status bar (considering I'm not using some kind of security lockscreen) and find the next\pause\play buttons among all the accidentally clickable stuff there... OR unlock the phone and use the Play Music app itself.
Now I'm not ranting about one more or less button to press here, really, it's just that while I'm driving every millionth of a second that my eyes are on the road counts, so I liked it the way it used to be, where I didn't even need to look at the screen..
Long story I know..
Anyway, any simple solution? or would I'll just have to get used to it?
p.s - not planning on moving to the stock music player as all of my music is in the Google Music cloud and I really like it that way.
Got the same issue. Sometimes it'll work fine, sometimes nothing on lock screen. Generally I find Google Play Music pretty damn annoying and horrible. Would love a solution as well.
Holy mother of all tits IT WORKS.. I just played a song and the damn thing is there in the lock screen looking at me..
Yep, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't... Would love to understand why.
Does anyone know a solution for this? Perhaps another recommended music player?

Hello,
Check out my new Virtual Reality Music Player for Android on Google Play - StereoVibe
Here's a demo video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwpNCM41Sq4
Designed in Unity 5 using Google VR.
It is an immersive Music Player that allows you to play any mp3 music on your phone combined with Gaze based interactive objects surrounding you in the VR space viz. browsing folders, playing any track and track seeking.
The highlight? A huge pulsating bar visualizer surrounding you that responds to the current track, complete with cycling colors and vibrant flares.
Do download and leave a rating and a comment on the Play Store. Any and all suggestions for improvement are welcome.
Thank You.
Looks good, I will try it.
IDK why, but it reminded me somehow old good Spotify.
Moreover, some time ago I have made my own similar app called Musicka, after which I have even made my own guide h2d it.
But your app seems like a nice memoris of old audio-drugs 2000's hype
Good luck !
Link to app is dead.
Hi, i'm a newbie, but i've seen i can use the always on screen to see the info of the music player, that works great with Google Play Music.
The only issue is when i activate Spotify :\ The main buttons still works (play and skip) but i would really like to be able to see the name of the track i'm listening on Spotify...
I know, this is kinda stupid thing, i could overtake this problem easily, it's not so bad, but i would really be happy if someone could help me in with this!
Been using google play music for many years. But with the latest update it's not working well on nougat roms and when its working, it again and again asks to subscribe. Offline music search gets crippled.
So any suggestions of a music app that supports searching and choosing what to play next?
thanks.
SoundCloud Anyday
Power amp, best app i've ever used, easy and many cool features.
Are you looking for a local player or streaming? Makes a huge difference...
n7player, Neutron, BlackPlayer, MediaMonkey, Pulsar, or PowerAMP as mentioned before...
God... I miss WinAMP!!!
Shuttle its pretty nice, but im using this port https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...sony-xperia-music-9-3-5-0-0-port-apk-t3555386
@acejavelin I'm looking for a local player.
I personally like VLC for its ability to play formats like WMA. It does have a search function and ability to create playlists.
Black Player EX is the best to use
@acejavelin Really strange, when I got this phone 8 months ago and logged into Google the first time it reinstalled Winamp for me, but it is not in the play store or my app list.
I've used PowerAMP for over 3 years, love it.
