music playback problem

hi there
I have a Z1 compact and lots of music on a microSD card. I use an app called music folder player because I like organising my own folder structure. (all/genres/artists)
However, I am finding that when the screen on my Z1 goes into standby, the player will continue playing, until it reaches the end of the song.
At the end of the song it stops playing.
When i press the wake button it resumes playing the next song.
This is not ideal, its far from ideal.
Has anyone come across this problem before? I really would like it to continue playing until i tell it to stop.
This was not an issue with my previous phone, a sony tipo, with the same app, so i wonder is it device specific.
Any advice or suggestions will be appreciated.
regards,
redd.

I think it has something to do with the app not keeping the phone awake. What's your rom config?
try allowing it through stamina mode?

Which ROM ? Which music app ?
I don't have this problem.
It interrupts and then automatically plays again ? Or interrupts until YOU start it again ?
If 2nd case, check your 3.5 jack, maybe it's not plugged in correctly. Do you have a protection case ? If the headphone disconnects itself because it's not plugged in normally, the music stops.
Sent from my P9 lite using XDA Labs
Also, check if your music app is in the list of protected apps. If not, it could explain why it'd be killed when screen is OFF, then music interrupted?

This occurs in c432b161 build and run applications as the sound is sometimes cut example of Youtube with spotify too.

my phone when i play music it after some few minutes it just turn off the music.
Here too. Sometimes music interrupts for <1 s with any music apps. Seams the problem is the phone unable to manage correctly multitasking.

Bug: Duplicate media key events?

Hello,
I have a Nokia TA-1021 and there seems to be a bug where media keys are sent twice when the screen is off.
Whenever I play some music and press the headset button twice, the phone skips one song when the screen is on but two songs when the screen is off. This happens with many music players (I've tried Vanilla Music, Sony Music and Zing MP3), but strangely enough Google Play Music is fine. I've had this issue since Nougat and it's still here on Oreo. My friend, who's got a TA-1021 with the Nov patch also confirmed it happens on his phone with foobar2000.
Viewing logcat from Android Studio, I can see that MediaSessionService is sending KEYCODE_MEDIA_NEXT twice when I double-press the headset button.
Anyone else having the same problem? I am quite sure it's device-specific because I've tried different pairs of earphones and the result is still the same, and on other phones double-pressing the button skips one song only whether the screen is on or off.

Music via call speaker

Hello,
By putting music in the folder of miui tape recorder app, you can listen to it through the call speaker
It does not have much interest, except to see that the quality is rather not bad, even if obviously less powerful than the multimedia speaker
I think we could get a good 25/75% without risking damaging the speakerphone, I'll let you judge and I hope mods will be available soon
In my case not working the way you have mentioned.

It works, I just tried it. You have to put an mp3 file in the MIUI/sound_recorder folder.
Volume is pretty quiet, but would still be great to get stereo sound working on this phone.

No... It's not working... If you are covering the loudspeaker you will here the sound from loudspeaker which is trying to find the way out of the phone case through internals... That's all

Let me walk you through it...
1. Put an mp3 in the MIUI/sound_recorder folder.
2 Open the MIUI Recorder app (in the tools folder)
3. Click the settings button on top right
4. Tick the first box that says "USE RECEIVER TO PLAY AUDIO". (This is the important bit)
5. Go back to the main window of the app
6. Click the menu at the bottom right
7. You'll see your MP3 listed
8. Click it and it plays through the top earpiece speaker
You're welcome.
Not it's not working .

I just listened, and it's really interesting, the earpiece, in my opinion, produces a good sound, albeit quiet, but even the phone's body vibrates a little from it, it can even give out little bass at such a volume. if you listen in a quiet room I think you can get a good stereo, I hope there will be a mod.
