Hello all,
few days ago I purchased a amazfit chinese version. The phone in my possession is an iPhone 6 Plus.
I downloaded from the Apple store the app Amazfit where I have managed without problem to activate the phone.
Unfortunately, however, I can't do the sync with Strava, there's no way. Tells me to log in on the Street asks me for authorization, and then if I agree I do not go out much.
What am I doing wrong ?
Thanks to all,
Vincenzo

The trick on Android was to change from Chinese App to the Playstore version as the Chinese watch is not intended to be synched with Strava.
But i don't know how they do it on iOS.
One solution might be to flash the watch to US version and then pair it but i am not sure if that will work.
If they check serial number when pairing it will not work, if they check firmware version it will.

Hello
in the end I fixed it and the sync between Strava and the iPhone 6 Plus works without problems.
The initial problem I think it was Strava as it took a long time to sync. Now I can just go to run and log my activities on the Amazfit then when I get home to pair everything with the iPhone and then sync everything with Strava.

Do you have the chinese amazifit watch with PACEfied?
If so what Amazfit app do you have in your iPhone? In mine there is NO option for sync with Strava, don't know if my app is the chinese one...
So after months, is there any possibility now to use PACEfied with google play Amazfit version and sync with Strava? I can't scan the barcode (it says that I need cn version)

Ok so I am no dummy. I have an LG G Watch on my LG G4. I am having a problem pairing *COMPLETELY* my Oukitel A28 with the MediaTek Smart app.
I tried this on the LG G4 and LG G2 (thinking because I have my LG G Watch/G4 might be causing the problem). I paired the phone. It is connected. It synced the contacts. I downloaded the App and went through the motions of selecting notification access and bla bla bla.
But the App never connects. All I see is "connecting..." I deleted the BT profile and tried to load this up multiple ways but all end in the same result.
The weird thing is calls and some things actually go through the watch. I can play music and make/take calls. But all of the other features like Messaging and stuff just says "Pair phone first".
I am not sure exactly what is going on. There are 2 A28 devices found on the phones. Both are paired. Seems I am missing something. I tried this on 2 phones with the same results.
Hi Player911,
I was in your same shoes just this morning but Google helped out.
You may follow the step-by-step guide for the watch at China Gadgets Reviews.
All the credit goes to Stefan Danut.:highfive:
After following these steps, I was able to explore 100% of the watch's functionalities. It is definitely one of the best clones out there.
Hope it helps.
Hi Kempest,
Can you post a link to the instructions you are referring to? I'm having the exact same problem with my A28.
Pairing the A28
Just got mine today (A28) and experienced the same problems.
Solution: Install an updated Mediatek App.
I found the update here: Google Chinagadgetsreviews. Search for A28 hands on first impressions. Sorry, but XDA won't let me post the link!

You can also download the latest version v.2015.07.06 of MediaTekSmartDevice.apk & speechengine.apk from here or from here (12 MB)
The "here" and "here" are links. I clicked on the second (using PC) and downloaded the newer App (RAR Format). Unzipped the RAR and then I copied it to my Android and installed.

Hi,
I have a problem installing the mediatek smart device apk on my oneplus running mokee rom. I was able to download the newest version but get a message "app not installed" every time I try installing it. Anyone having the same problem?
Thanks.
Clarification
After downloading the APK file, you must go to your downloads and run the file to install.
Cool suggestions. I just installed the app from the play store as the built in scanner barcode lead me to a chinese website where the Android version was not loading the page properly.
Kind of silly that the newest working app is out there but the play store has a broken non working version. One would think that would be high priority.
Clarification 2
I installed the PlayStore version first, only to find that it wouldn't function correctly. I used a PC to download the newer version, in zipped and transferred it to the Android. Once on the Android, I just had to execute the APK file. Note my instructions of 11/08/2015.
I have the oukitel a28 aswell, and stand alone i have to say its a pretty good watch for the price. BUT i cant get it to sync to healthkit on my iphone running ios 8.4, anyone else using this watch with iphone?, i can pair it as headset and notifications, but what i really bought it for was the health stats. Ive also read somewhere about some other sync app on the phone that would work with mediatek chip devices, but cant seem to find it again? suggestions please, i know about Mediatek smartdevice and Fundo wear, none of those will sync with ios healthkit..

Hello there, thanks for the suggestion, thats the QR-code link, have tried both fundo wear and the mediatek sync app, none of those sync the health stats, and fundo's servers are very slow and fail most of the times. Such a shame with the sync, when the watch seems great otherwise.
My Fitbit One is dying because it's getting old, so I'm going to be replacing it with a Smart Watch of some sort. I'm looking for a watch that will track my steps and hopefully my sleep and integrate with MyFitnessPal account.
I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions or experiences with this? I'm not sure if there are watches that are better than others at this or if they generally don't work at all. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thank you.

The moto 360 has all what your looking for,and I use with google fit.but I believe you can use fitness pal also, but don't quote me.
I have the moto360. It is set to sync with Google fit and motobody. I have myfitnesspal set to pull the data from Google fit and it works like a champ. Motobody is supposed to sync with fitbit, but I have yet to see it work. I jump through all these hoops so I can sync with my work's vitality program.

Care to outline your method for me? My new company enforces ios so ive had to replace my galaxy with an iphone. Trying to get my data to sync since i cant get anything to check in with apple health.
I have my company's vitality system linked with mapmyfitness.com. In the mapmyfitness app, I have it linked with myfitnesspal. In the myfitnesspal app, I have it linked to Google fit. I have my moto360 linked with Google fit. It's stupidly complicated, but works.

I prefer using the app Up by Jawbone. Integrates much better with my moto 360 than Google Fit. I also recommend Interval Timer for Android to time your reps like a champ.
How about the Huawei active?
Have you had any problems with this setup?

I just stumbled upon this rather convoluted solution myself. My company also has a Vitality program and after numerous issues with FitBit I want to use an actual smartwatch to log steps. After playing around with the various app connections I did the same Google Fit -> MyFitnessPal -> MapMyFitness -> Vitality. I just need to buy a smartwatch now to complete the chain, but I want to make sure it works before purchasing one.
Thanks.
Hi guys,
after a clean update of Marshmallow on my Moto X Play, I installed again Android Wear app and set up my watch (LG G Watch R). When I try to say "Ok Google" --> "Navigate to...." my watch shows me an error message that keeps telling me something like " Update your Android Wear app if you would like to use Maps". The problem is that Wear App has already been updated to the last version
Any tips?
I did a factory reset on my watch, removed android wear app...nothing, same problem.
Hi there,
I am stuck with 4.4 on my smartphone and have 1.3.0.2 android wear on my zenwatch. I have exactly the same issue with maps on my watch. This includes factory reset on the watch not helping.
cheers

Hi, I asked some help on Android Wear Help forum and someone tells me to follow these steps. In my case it worked! Pay attention to point 3, I think that it's the point that really fixes the problem.
Hope to help you too
1. make sure maps is the latest version
2. make sure all apps have completely sync'd to the watch (make sure all your "actions" are set too, within the Android Wear app) *this can take a long time
3. after it has been a while, and apps have 100% sync'd - check for the maps app on the watch before trying to Ok Google it

Strava works only on US version? Strava is for free? Can you show how it works?
You can sync CN version of amazfit with Strava without problems. There are many solutions here on forums.
Sorry Wajs, i disagree i have been reading every post since january and there is no way of syncing CN version with Strava at least on IOS.
That is too bad because for the moment, Mifit on IOS can t see track whereas Android version can.
If someone has an idea on how look at run or bike track with any app on IOS tell me because i have to watch it on my watch for the moment
Have a nice Day

Is there any plan for standalone use of Maps on GPS equipped smartwatches? Tried asking this over at Google Community but their forum doesn't work -- any new question gets an error message and won't post, so I'm hoping to find some help here.
According to Android Pit, “It’s easy to get turn-by-turn directions on your Android Wear smartwatch. Plus, with Android Wear 2.0, you can do it without being connected to your smartphone if your smartwatch has GPS built-in.”
Even a Google Support article regarding AW 2.0 seems to indicate this is possible, just by downloading and using Google Maps on your AW 2.0 device.
My device, the ZTE Quartz, has been reviewed as allowing for stand alone navigation. It has GPS, a SIM card, runs on a 3G network, and has GPS. It even has a menu option for Location of using “Device Only” for GPS. Yet, I can’t use Google Maps without use of my phone.
Wasn’t this supposed to be part of AW 2.0, using maps with the wearable only? It seems there is definitely a sense that it should be possible, as I've indicated above . I keep coming across references to it being possible, but also feedback that it is not possible in real life.
I see Huawei 2 customers are also frustrated, having understood that they could use the watch only for navigation, and yet it does not work, according to threads I've come across, while trying to research this.
The ZTE Quartz Community suggests it is a Google Maps problem that maybe will be fixed in the future? The thought seems to be that AW 2.0 should be capable of it, but the Maps app is at fault.
Any plans to address this? Or will navigation always require use of both the watch and the phone? This greatly reduces the independent use of the watch, obviously, which seemed to be the point of AW 2.0, to address such.
Any thoughts? Is anyone on AW 2.0, with a GPS enabled watch, able to use navigation without a phone?
Huawei watch 2 here.
As for the recent time, i found navigation with the watch to be unreliable, lag and overall pretty useless. With or without phone.
The google app and the maps app got several updates recently so I'll give it a try again.

i have the same issue and searching for a solution. the menu already says: use gps inbuilt and smartphone and can't change the option.
can we edit this somewhere?

Hi, yes I use it on my Moto 360 sport (upgraded AW2) and it works surprisingly well. Maps are quite clear on watch, zoom in and out easily and pick a start and end point then the app will plot a route and navigate - all offline with no phone!
I'm quite impressed. The only app that comes near is Viewranger.
I made a standalone navigation map here, if you'd like to try it out: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.onibaku.standalonewearmap

This is looking really good. I want true standalone navigation on my Huawei Watch 2 4G. It has a sim so loads the route standalone and seems to be able to do everything expected...i'm trying the demo version now.
One question though...unless i'm missing something..how do you exit the app? I'm currently having to force close it.

I had not realised that the app does not cease to use GPS whilst it is in sleep mode, so I have added a button to exit the app properly when you drag down. I've just released it now.

Hi I have just bought the standalone wear map for my Huawei watch 2 and it works very well.
Would like to check whether we can record the tracks and have an option to display it on the watch screen in additional to the routes (plot out by defining the destinations).
If no, would there be plan in the future.
Thanks.
