Hi!
Can AOD from Nougat be ported to MM?
I personally dont likenougat but AOD its much much better than MM.
Tnx
I was under the understanding that the AOD can be updated through Galaxy Apps to the same version that's found on 7.0?
My friend has the S7 running MM and he has the same version of AOD as I do running 7.0?
mmm I got 1.4.02, no upgrades proposed on galaxy store and still lacks of the kind of notifications that the nougat version has
If someone ported aod from N it would recommend root access to replace the app. I bet it's already done with one of the custom rom.

I recently downloaded max lee's tutorial on converting my Canadian Note 4 Sm-910w8 into a Galaxy S7 Edge. It runs marshmallow 6.0.1 on stock ROM rooted. Now I am trying to download xposed on it so I followed Wanam's thread on installing xposed with a stock rom. There are a couple of questions I would like to ask. 1st is what arm should I flash? My phone is the note 4 so should I run it with ARM or ARM64 because the ROM is running on the Galaxy S7 Edge? I currently have twrp as recovery and when I flash both Arm and Arm64 they seem to be stuck on bootloop. I know in Wanam's Prerequisite says the I should use CWM recovery BUT when I download ROM Manager it doesn't support my phone (the Note 4) and the S7 Edge so I can't really run cwm unless you guys know a way I could get it on my phone. I really want to run this s7 edge because of the speed and smoothness and getting xposed to work will be the icing in the cake so any form of help is greatly appreciated
Ok so this might be coming a bit late as I am just coming across the post......so if u want to use Wanams version of exposed u are going to be using SDK v23 which is for our note 4. It does not matter if the rom is S7 base and the S7 is 64bit architecture...ur device isnt. Now the only version of wanams xposed that works for me is the alt version. Notice in his downloads you will see two versions....regular and right below another with same version # and an alt has now been added to it....download that one and try it on your rom. Hope this helped......if u already figured it out then cheers!!

Hi all! Just bought Samsung S7 edge (SM-G935F) and I am quite happy with stock Nougat rom.
BUT, after I watched some videos about S8 port, I am considering to flash my device.
The only thing that worries me is bugs. As I understand most of this ports do have some bugs.
Can you please tell me what do you think, which port is the most stable one?
Or do you think that I should stick with stock Samsung rom?
Any advice is appreciated

I've tried the batman 1.1.1 s8 port rom on my s7 edge and I have the same model as you. The rom is great without any bugs. You can flash a sticker fix and secure folder fix zip file which will make more or less all the function that work on the s8 work on your s7 edge. For obvious reasons iris scanner won't work. Face detection and fingerprint works though.
Try it you won't regret it. Got my s7 edge 3 weeks ago and now I wouldn't even consider to go back to stock Nougat. I will only go stock when android O 8.0 arrives.
You can find the batman rom here. From what I have read in the forums the batman rom is king of s8 ported roms.

Thanks very much for your help. This is exactly what I needed. Sorry for a bit delayed answer, I was setting up Batman rom and my device..
So, yeah. It seems that this is one of the best roms for S7 Edge. It's working great for now, but it does have some minor bugs. Everything is pretty fast, very similar to stock Nougat, except the app drawer. When I'm opening a drawer it is a little bit laggy, but it's not a big deal.
And I did notice that battery life is affected, but that's normal for custom roms. Everything else works perfectly.
Once again, thanks very much for your help.
Cheers

Hey guys! my G6 doesn't have Oreo yet, but i'm already thinking what to do when the update comes...
I have used forze doze in nougat and it helps with the stand up battery drain, and i've heard that it's not needed in Oreo
what do you guys think? is it good to do it again when oreo comes? also, is forze doze even avaible for Oreo? haha
hope to hear from you guys!
Hey, you can try apps like naptime which works for both rooted and non rooted devices.
