I tried but failed.
Is it possible to downgrade the official software to lollipop ?
More info would be good. Methods?
You would flash the full factory image, skipping bootloader and gpt.bin... Do not attempt to OTA upgrade though as you will be in a mixed lollipop/marshmallow environment.
The real question is why would you want Lollipop, it is inferior to Marshmallow in every practical way.
There is no way to go back to 100% Lollipop.
To check if gps issue still exsists on lollipop (hw vs software).

Did your issues start after an OTA update? Just wondering what made you to think it might have to deal with the ROM.

All you have to deal with is just ignore gpt error and flash everything in correct order....
Well if u just want to get your system status official why to start from bottom when u already have lots of xml files present already...

Hey pals,
Good evening .After a long i'm back. I was rooted and today only i fully unroot my device 820U dual sim. Running lollipop v5.0.2 with software number 2.10.720.1
I was prompted for basically 2 updates for mail and system enhancement 1.99MB both were installed successfully.
After that i got again update for system enhancement of something 89.xx MB update. It was downloaded and i pressed installed as we all do. Stock recovery prompted and installation begin. In a while might be after 10% it threw me status 7 error.
Is anybody experiencing this issue ?
What could be best possible fix ?
Status 7 error in OTA, shall i edit updater script or could something else causing the issue ?
Might be if i am not mistaken then this 89.xx MB update was 2.10.720.4
I'm in official rom and re-locked bootloader.
Please share your views and recommendations.
It might be due to changes that you made to system partition before so unless you flash a lollipop RUU you cant update though ota.(there was a problem like this on my other HTC phone and I was unrooted and on relocked bootloader same as you but I couldnt update untill I flash RUU and started over.)
Can u give the link of lollipop ruu ??

OTA and everything is fine now. Yeah though i create a thread i always get my answer before somebody replies to it.
I already got problem fixed just after some minutes of creating this thread.
:good: Thanks anyways, hope this will help others.

Hello folks!
I decided to open a new topic about this because no one answered me in the few topics I have asked so...
I have inatalled the beta Nougat version following some steps from a video that I found on youtube using firmware finder app.
Now my question is... will I get the ota update since its released?
I found this version that I have to be full with bugs and it is so laggy so I just want to know wether I will receive the ota update or to risk downgrading it to MM and then wait for the ota.
I dont want to brick my phone while downgrading it to MM (if thats possible), I'd just wait for the official full ota version to be released to see if that'd solve the bugs, lags, bad multitasking and etc.
I am owning the 2gb veraion and I am currently on B335 with C432 localisation.
Thanks in advance!
And btw, the text that I typed was somehow cut after I posted it and I dont know why, and this is edited, retyped text.

Well, that sucks...
I will have to downgrade it to the official MM, right?
Can you recommend me a safer way to downgrade it?

search around in the guides section, there's a guide explaining everything
HI. I run android 6.0.1 and want to downgrade to android 5 dure the bad quality of the epd resolution on marshmallow. I know I need to be in 4.4.3 and then upgrade to 5.0 to achieve lollipop, but read in the forum I would break the phone if I flash to 4.4.3 once I flash to marshmallow, because the bootloader changed .
So, if there isn't a FOTA of lollipop it means I can't run it no more?
You can also flash the bootloader, and I am pretty sure that you don't need to go to 4.4.3 first. You can just directly flash lollipop. Lollipop and MM don't have a different bootloader by the way.
I know because I when MM was still in testing phase, I switched back to lollipop first before upgrading to the official MM release.
That being said, a lot of stuff can go wrong if you start flashing while not completely knowing what you are doing and there are no completely foolproof programs or guides for the yotaphone out there.
If you wanna go at it anyway, you can start with the links below for info and firmware files.

Yeah that's great to know, but thats why I ask about the tioe of firmwares, because, if I am right, I can flash a FOTA but not a OTA of a lower version coming from a newer one.
Which lollipop firmware did you flashed?
As you say, I want to understand it before maybe bricking it

I flashed the ru 124 firmware. Someone uploaded all firmware files here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/yotaphone-one/general/firrmware-files-one-files-onedrive-t3633138.
Downside is that you have to download everything even though you probably just want 1 of the firmware files.
For your convenience, I uploaded my lollipop firmware files here along with the needed software and drivers and a bat script to flash it all:

I believe i read somewhere on here that you can only flash the same bootloader version as 8.0 is version 2 so the only one you can downgrade to is one with bootloader version 2 and that is 7.0 i understand. Correct me if i am wrong though,

Correct.
Find 7.0 Firmware that is at least March 2018 or newer (Binary 2 Rom) to downgrade from 8.0 Oreo

Just download the firmware for 6.0.1 and flash it in odin, I've done it several times and it works very nicely.
I'm surprised they would allow 6.0.1 firmware to flash what model is your phone sm-g935f and was it on 8.0?
BL code drops to 6.0 without code but network goes

Hello,
I downgraded to 6.0 but phone is now stuck in boot loop and i'm unable to access recovery mode.
I'm only able to access download mode.
Please how can i resolve this problem?
Hey guys, who knows do we have option like — flash fw with older bootloaders and then do isolated new bootloader flash to make older fw work?
Something like that, because i "heard" similar tricks in internet, like people are flashing modem and bootloader bins separately after downgrade flashing like from android 8 to 6. But didn't find proper instructions on that.
Is it possible? Is there instruction out there?
Yeah, oreo is better than nougat and yeah yeah new features, new updates blablabla. I just believe that every device is always better with its first software - we all saw and know how Apple does, i dont think that other companies dont do something like this...after masscopy of notches personally i dont have any doubts...why you think samsung "upgrades" this bootloader sh*t? It's the same thing like it was with iphone 4s - no downgrade option, and "upgraded" version of fw forcedly reduced the work of processor and other performances - you forced to BUY new one. Same politics in Samsung.
Well, for me marshmallow is better than all others in using S7 - it's faster and bugfree than nougat or oreo, yes it's oldy and even some basic performance features not exist, but still android 6 is the best for S7. I used custom roms but they are really buggy, badly buggy, definitely not a choice for everyday using. Oh i missed the days with nexus phones...not pixels.

Explain bro..how is the performance? How it feels?
Hello everyone. Long time since i post.
I have serious problem. For some reason im not satisfied with a video performance and batterylife on Pie, and i wanna move back to Nougat (not Oreo). Yet Odin seems dosent alow me to do that. Please i wanna know if its possible, wich i presume it is, and what version of Odin should i use ? I do have downloaded 5 files official rom wich i already flashed last year from Oreo to Nougat, but i have problem flashing it from PIE to Nougat. What version of Odin do i need and what setting?

You can not downgrade bootloader versions. So if your on pie with version 4 bootloader the lowest you can go is the earliest version of Oreo with bootloader version 4. Anything with 3,2 or 1 bootloader can't be flashed.
My god. So there is no Odin way or any other way to bypass bootloader restriction?

As far as I know no you can't downgrade bootloader versions.
Thanks for the reply. I just flashed the earliest Oreo firmware with bootloader binary 4 wich is actually last big change in stable releases of Oreo. NExt 3 releases were only security updates. I cant get lower then that since two more Oreo firmwares before that had BL number 3 and 2 - Nougat starts with 1 unfortunately. I really hoped maybe guys on XDa figured this thing out too downgrade to lower BL numbers, but i guess its not possible. .If i knew that before, i would never upgrade this shi..t to PIe. Hopefully Oreo will do fine now.
