I just flashed LineageOS and maybe I didn't install something required in Gapps? When I make a call it works but it just goes to the home screen and there's no option to hangup. Also when I receive an incoming call there is no option to answer it, however on my watch there is and I can actually answer. What is wrong?
FIXED: there was a missing component I need to flash with Open Gapps, some framework required for dialler to work.

I dial into a voice mail system that requires me to enter **. However, when doing so, the second star makes the ** into a "p". Does anyone know why this happens and, better yet, does anyone know how to stop it from happening so I can enter **. To reproduce, simply make a call and while connected try pressing ** on the keypad. Thanks in advance for any help.
I have this problem too when trying to access my office voicemail
Which dialer are you using? Not all dialers do that. Also, try waiting about 3-5 seconds before tapping again.
EDIT: Just installed my new dialer, with this same deal, if you cycle through, it will go back to the asterik.
Here's my scenario,
I'm receiving calls from 3 people that are annoying, I'm not looking for to block these people, but looking an app that can REDIRECT these SELECTED CALLERS to the number of my CHOOSING.
please help me find an app that forwards calls (THAT DOES NOT TAMPER WITH VOICEMAIL)
Thanx in adv.
I hear that phoneAlarm does this from pocketMax.
http://www.pocketmax.net
just tried it, and did find anything regarding call forwarding.
anyone else????
This won't help with your scenario, but might be useful for future reference.
Google Voice offers this functionality by default. You can send those callers to another number, or straight to voice-mail, or block them entirely if you choose.
Unfortunately, I don't know of any WinMo apps that will do that.
Not sure if MagiCall will help you. You can set up custom rules for each number.
Worked great when I was getting annoying calls.
I normally was using Magi call, but have it under hang up and drop. Problem is that it hangs up a second later (they can still hear my background and notice that it the call is being hanged up for the 1 second).
I have tried about 2-3 apps that they are suppose to block the call, instead it send s them to voice mail (I don't want them to have access to my voice mail) or does hang up immediately. Only if there is a TRUE CALL BLOCKER is would consider it.
I now focusing in finding a app that forwards these selected callers to any number of my choosing.
There has to be an app like this, someone hopefully comes through with that answer.

I'm looking for the same thing and PhoneAlarm Pro does support this feature from what I've read. I downloaded the Pro version and installed it. But after restart, it will get stuck on the main screen and nothing else will show. I waited for a while to see if it will load but nothing ever happened and I kept restarting over and over. I finally ended up doing a hard reset. I'm running on the Leo Cell Evo v5 rom tmobile and I don't know if it has something to do with it, but I don't feel like flashing to another rom to see if it works for me so I'll just leave it alone and let someone else figure it out.
Hi, i know this question might pops up every now and then. Tried hard to find a solution but still can't find anything workable. Here's my issue:
I'm developing an app for Windows Mobile 6.5 (With TAPI 2.0), using Motorola MC65 as target device, that would allow user to make calls and answer calls. For outgoing calls i have no problem whatsoever. For incoming calls, the OS default call answering screen (CProg.exe) will pop up when there's a call coming in.
After googling for solutions and trial and error a whole lot, here's what i did so far:
1. Use lineSetAppPriority to set my app to the top priority for handling incoming call. The call returns 0 (means success) but still the CProg will try to handle the incoming calls. Checked that the application name is correct as well.
2. Tried using FindWindow and SetForegroundWindow to hide the CProg. It works, when there's incoming call, the CProg will be hidden and my app is shown. However the button on my app couldn't be accessed as i think the focus or countrol is still with CProg. Tried using Focus() on my app and still not working.
3. Tried replace the CProg with an empty executable. After restart, my phone can't even access the radio network. Usually when booted up the device will prompt me for the SIM card's pin number, but this is not the case here. Tried calling in and operator's telling me can't reach the line.
Just wondering is there anyone, at all, that has encountered this issue before and get over it?
Thank you.
Hi,
I have all contacts with image. While I call a person and receive a call from a person the call ui is not displaying the caller image. Is there any workaround?
Use Google dialer instead of the default phone app in the device
The Google dialer app doesn't show proper call logs, it shows dialed and received calls as missed calls when you use Jio for calls.
In mi A1 full screen caller ID is not coming instead it is coming in the form of small circle is there any way any option
Same problem
Just can't believe... In the end of 2017 without call photo id?! But maybe in the future updates that will be fixed. I'm understanding, that it's pure Android, but this is not branding option.
any news to solve this issue?
Nope. Google Phone is not compatible.
Just install google phone bubble edition from xda
Phone bubble edition didn't help me.
Is there another good dialer?
Search for Google_Phone_11.0.164102751__Bubble___Patched_ and disable stock phone apk. You must also install google contacts and disable stock contacts. Works perfectly for me.
Works fine, Thanks !

Hey this worked to get signal(ish). I can't make or receive phone calls. When I call a number the dialer screen doesn't pop up and it doesn't call. When people try to call me I don't get any notification. If it helps my preferred network type is set to "Global". Still, the dialer should at least pop up. Any ideas? I'm running the latest Gapps ARM64 8.1 with the Aroma package and google dialer installed. I can send and receive texts, and data works. Sometimes if i tap a number repeatedly a call will go out but nothing pops up.

Make sure you set Google dialer as default. I remember that happened to me once when I disabled AOSP dialer. My phone would ring but I couldn't answer.
