For some reason my S7 always starts the wifi connection after booting up. Can this be disabled ? I only want to connect to Wifi manually.
Also now Wifi is disabled with screen off, which is OK, but I don't want Wifi automatically reenabled after lockscreen is disabled.
PS. How come I can't post in the noob section ?

Hey.
I got an MC7596 with Windows Mobile 6.0 on it.
Is there some way of disabling the Wi-Fi and enabling the Phone (in Wireless Manager) automatically on startup? Registry settings or?
Because every time my phone restarts, the Wi-Fi is enabled and the Phone is disabled for some weird reason.
Any help is appreciated

Hi there.
I have the international version of Galaxy S5 (GM-900F) and yesterday I was trying to recover all saved Wi-Fi passwords on my phone. I installed couple of apps from the Google Play Store and uninstalled them all as they didn't work. Since then I cannot enable Wi-Fi. When I tap on the Wi-Fi icon nothing happens it just stays turned off. 4g is fine, but when I enable personal hotspot I get a notification that Wi-Fi will have to be turned off before the hotpot can be enabled. The thing is Wi-Fi is turned off and I still get the same notification.
My phone is rooted but I never had that problem. I flashed the firmware again as I thought the apps messed up some settings, but that didn't help. I dropped the phone couple of times, can the antenna inside break?
Is there anything else I can try before doing a factory reset?
I have a Galaxy S5 Running Stock Android 5.0 Lollipop, sometimes I came home and found out I don't have wi-fi turned on, I went and turn on Wi-Fi, but the connection no longer works. It will work after I reboot, anyone experience this?
Have you got Smart Network Switch enabled in WiFi settings?
It causes problems for almost everyone, disable it and see if that helps
Mine is not enabled. I will try enabling it to see if it makes a difference. thanks.
Hello guys, sorry if it is a double post, couldn't find anything near to my problem on search. Here I go:
When I get close to a Wi-Fi connection which is already configured on my phone it takes a time to realize it is near a known wifi network, like a few minutes, while a cheap phone goes connected almost instantly.
Wi-Fi is on while suspended.
The phone is a SM-G900M
4.4.2 Stock with a few modification
root/xposed framework + few modules
Thanks in advance

Disabled Smart Network Switch in WiFi Settings?
I am not sure what the problem could be or whether I have to change some settings but my phones wifi as well as the Bluetooth don't work as expected.
I connect to the wifi at home, then if I go out i switch it off, when later in the evening I turn it on again, it doesn't auto connect (despite me clicking the auto-connect checkbox when putting the password) and I have to go back to settings click on the desired wifi and put the password again; this happens also when I restart my phone( it keeps asking me for my password)
The same goes with the bluetooth, on my s6 it would connect automatically to my car Bluetooth once I went through the initial settings, now even after the initial pair, it doesn't connect unless I put my bluetooth device on discovery mode again.
It's a rooted s8 with MAGISK,twrp installed on it.
I have tried to reset network and other setting, clear cache but no success.
any advice?
