Hi guys,
I'm having a weird issue. I recently flashed my phone with Odin removing custom recovery and removing root (from Echoerom back to my operator's original).
Since then if I go into about -> status IMEI shows up correctly , same as in the box.
When I press *#06# - I'm not getting my IMEI number nor my serial number. If a sim is inserted - I get an unknown application error.
So the IMEI is still on my phone, however, only appearing under settings but not under *#06#.
Any idea? I tried searching for an answer but no luck.
Thanks,
Royi
Do you know if imei appeared when you had the stock rom?

How did you solve it? Any input?
FYI: I'm rom stock g930v. No root .
Thanks in advance! :fingers-crossed:

There is a system app which is uninstalled may be due to debloater script...

What was the source of it? OTA/official update? If so, and if you did not rooted your phone - go to provider/service.
Most likely, your efs partition is screwed up. If you do not have backup - poor chances for restoring it.

OTA = off the air, so you have the official ROM. In rare cases, efs can be damaged by that. Call nearest Sammy Service Center.

Hi Guys,
I have a Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 and have IMEI null / null. When I dial *#06# I receive that IMEI null message.
This started when I turn off airplane mode and since then I have no IMEI and no phone communication, Wifi works fine and also all apps.
Now I tried to repair it with GalaxSim but nothing, then I tried the GT-i9500 fix IMEI null but when installing the phone got stuck in boot process (SAMSUNG icon) so I had to reinstall custom firmware.
Also when I dial *#1234# I have only 2 out of 3 codes: AP: I9500UBUEMK1 and CSC: I9500UUBEMK1 (same as previous the rooting and every test)
I've heard that there's somethign related to efs. Can someone please help me? I also took it to technical support (not a Samsung service center in Ecuador) but they also couldn't help me.
Please give me a hand in order to have this fixed

Hi,
I did what you suggested me and once it finishes the installation the phone reboots and it gets stuck in the SAMSUNG icon. So It shows me first the phone information: Galaxy GT-I9500, and then the blue circle with samsung icon shows and it stops right there. It doesn't continue the booting process or reboots, it just stays there. If I turn off with the power button it automatically turns on and the only way to shut the phone down is to remove the battery.
This happened to me when I tried to do this last time and for solving I reinstalled stock ROM but it comes back to same state (no IMEI). Now I left the phone in this blocked state. What do you suggest me to do? Am I missing something? Did I run correctly the process?
--UPDATE--
I turned on the phone in the other mode (volume UP and home button) and then selected restore phone and it started and had to reconfigure again but same issue: IMEI null but different AP and CSC information when dialing *#1234#
AP: I9500XXUAMDE
CSC: I9500ODDAMDC
Is this a progress? What else can I do in order to get signal back?
Best Regards,
Santiago

Never came through such a problem but I read this link and it might help you. Dont know if it is correct I read it and just posted it here..... TRY IT ON UR OWN RISK I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING
Try root the phone, BACKUP your corrupt IMEI. BACKUP your NVDATA, Then full EFS12 rewrite, if IMEI is back then repair it by BOX, if not, then you have hardware issue.

were you able to solve the problem? if you did, please provide feedback as to how. I-m having the same issue.
This problem faced me alot of times
it is a modem solution.
go here and download a suitable modem . and if you have a backup file of your EFS partition that would be better

When i connect to kies3 i get this info
I9500XXUGNH2/I9500OJVFNG1/I9500XXUGNH (XXX)
i flashed with this firmware I9500XXUGNH2_I9500OJVFNG1_I9500XXUGNF6_HOME.tar
look at the difference . modem is not flashed >
two questions:
1- what is meant by the (xxx)?
2-how do u think i can solve the problem?
my phone turned imei null after update to 4.4.2
Thanks in Advance
Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I'm facing the same problem and the link to the imei repair file no longer works. Anyone have another download option or a different solution?

So...
Hi everyone I've been lurking around the forums the past week trying to find a fix to my problem and I just find anything that will fix it. I'm hoping one of you that has a bit more experience with this can help me.
OK so here's my problem
My Samsung galaxy s4 i337m was rooted but I wanted to unroot to update cause I'm new to it and never used my root for anything
I looked around and downloaded a stock ROM and flashed it in with oden and I had no WiFi no sound couldn't make calls no videos so I tried flashing another custom ROM and it let's me use data and text but no calls no video no sound I usually only get 2-3 hours of down time here to look for a fix and I have been all this week but can't seem to work the problem out
Does anyone know how to fix this so I can call my kids again I'm not gonna be homeor anywhere close to a place to get a new phone for another month
And to sweeten the deal I'll send 25$ PayPal to the person that can get this fixed for me
Thanks for your time

1. It's the correct firmware for your device and the latest. Yes. Problem of sound/wifi are related to wrong baseband normally. Reflashing it 2 times solve the problem.
2. We will try other options.
3. You have to install STOCK ROM for dial *#1234# first.

Hi all,
I'm trying to get a network connect but with no effort. When I choose "mobile providers" within settings the phone searches a while automatically but it won't find any carrier to connect with.
The phone is rooted and I tried the following things last week:
- another simcard, same result
- regionlock away.apk
- cyanogen rom 12.1
- another stock rom based on different csc
I attached some screenshots from phone info -samsung-. The IMEI is still valid and I think there's no corrupt efs folder at all.
Can someone help me please?
cheers,
michel

Thank you for responding! I checked IMEI with some free IMEI checker and got the result "clean" every time. But I took only free IMEI checker and I assume that they check it only against US/CDN databases and not europe ones.
Maybe some paid checker can prove it more reliable!?

Hello, everyone! This is my first post on XDA so sorry if it ain't in the right place.
So... What I did is manually updated my S8 to Android 9 through Odin but it isn't receiving signal and it shows that I'm not registered on network. I already tried everything I could but I can't solve this issue. Can someone help me?
Edit: my phone was working perfectly before I ruined it all.
IMEI ok, signal ok, it's not a hardware problem. I've tried configuring APNs and the ROM is the correct for my phone, country and carrier. I just don't know what is wrong. Thanks for all the replies
Try these:
Reconfigure APN's in the cellular data settings.
Check if your phone has IMEI, if you flash-all you may also lose the EFS partition. If so you have to restore your EFS partition backup.
If you flashed the wrong carrier's android, you'll have to flash the correct one. For example your phone is T-Mobile, but you flashed AT&T version.
Goodluck.

Hello! Thanks for commenting.
I tried configuring APNs but it still not working.
I'm sure I flashed the correct ROM.
I think I lost the EFS partition as you say, since I didn't backed up anything (I'm feeling silly). How do I restore my EFS partition? Thanks again!

Check your device IMEI first if it says null or unknown or something similar then you indeed have corrupted EFS.
To check your device IMEI, open dialer then dial *#06#
As for how to fix this, as far as I know without a backup you can't. EFS partition is automatically backed up in any nandroid backup made by TWRP.
You can try XPOSED IMEI changer or if magisk has a similar module.

I honestly have no idea man, sorry not being of much help.
All I can help with is provide you with this tool.
On a side note the image you put there is completely useless and it only exposes your IMEI. The barcode also contains info about your IMEI.
Goodluck.

I saw your thread and my guess is that your device is network locked by IMEI, if you contact your network provider they can confirm it for you otherwise try a different sim card and see if it works.

Did you find a fix for this issue? I've same issue with my S8+. Phone keeps saying there is a Network or SIM Card error on any Lineage ROM (with Android 12 or 13).
