I don't know why it hapoens but most of the times the stock weather app which can be accessed from the shelf menu doesn't show my the correct current location. It always tends to show some different name rather than the place where I am actually present! Only sometimes it shows the correct location but mostly, it doesn't! Given below is a screenshot which shows my current location as Sedhar but I am actually in Jammu, J&K, India.

One more thing I would like to mention is that when i check the About section in the weather app, it clearly states that
: "The weather data from the Chinese weather network. Powered by AccuWeather"!
I wonder if the problem may be due to the the app is fetching data from the chinese network rather than the Indian network! Is there a way I can switch that!

Do you have the latest version?
And sometimes it is normal that there is no data available. To test this, try adding another place and it will show details regarding the newly added place.
Happens if the stored conditions are old. Check the last refresh time/date - shown at the bottom of the refresh menu, then choose Refresh | All.
Thanks guys, seems to have updated itself now the other question is this.
Its showing yesterdays weather to the left of todays but with a day over it?
So there is a pic of sunshine and the temp but with no date over it. so its taking up one more space than need be if you see what i mean?
Its exactly the same as the picture below expept the icon to the left of wednesday now?
Anyone with an idea?

Hello guys !
In this tutorial I will teach you guys to access stock data usage without root.
Data usage is present by default in android phones but for some reason it is hidden.
So,here is the method.
1. Download the app "HiddenApp Launcher".
2. Look for Data Usage in the list and long press it.
3. It will create a shortcut of Data Usage.
4. DONE.

I don't know if we're talking about the same thing, but afaik there is nothing hidden with the Honor 5x as this is the 4th options in the settings in Stock firmware, same with all Samsung devices or small chinese brands devices... ^^LOL

We aren't talking about the same thing. I'm talking about stock data manager which is usually present in settings>more>data usage.
And obvio it isn't hidden in Samsung phones. ?
I have KlW-L21. Well after doing a bit of search i have come to know that in my VARIANT of phone THAT option is missing in traffic management app. Like seriously. ?
Along with the complete overhaul of the settings app, the battery stats section was also overhauled in android O. One thing, however, that you can't do with the new graph, is see everything that's been using you battery all in one convenient list. According to whoever was assigned an issue on the google issue tracker about this, there should be a button or something titled "show full device usage", and this should show everything that's using your battery, screen and google play services included. does this option show up for anyone using the developer preview? i can't seem to find it, and i want to make sure i'm not missing anything.
In my settings>Battery menu, if I scroll down I have a list of apps taht use the battery in order of percentage used.

but that only shows the apps that you've used, it doesn't include google play services, nor does it include your screen or other hardware.
Here's a nagging Android riddle I'd like to understand just out of curiosity, as opposed to researching an 'issue' that needs to be resolved. We all have better things to do (laundry, pull weeds, floss) than to make a case out of this post.
I'll ask anyway.
In my graphic the shortcut on the left shows normal behavior from the Settings widget in Oreo. The shortcut on the right, however, just showed up on the home screen out of nowhere. I'm clueless about how it got there and why it has color. Is anybody familiar with this?

I think it's a spyware from mobile-tracker-free.com . Coz I used it before and it comes as the name of WiFi in the settings to avoid attention of the user.

It's not spyware. But mystery solved. The peculiar green shortcut is an Oreo feature.
In my case it showed up by accident. Here's how it's done on purpose:
Long-press the Settings app icon until a pop-up box appears with a short list of widget items that can be dragged to the home screen. In my case there are only 3 options -- battery, data usage and wi-fi.
There are similar effects by long-pressing other apps like Gmail and Messages.
Hi
On Sunday I flashed the "Havoc-OS-v4.6-20210727-trlte-Unofficial.zip" (Android 11.0) onto my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 LTE N910F and so far I am very happy with it.
Before I had the N4S-Rom v14.4 (Android 6.0) on it, everything worked perfectly. On the train I also made the new TWRP 3.6.0_9-0-trlte on it.
The only problem is that in the apps: Clever-tanken, WetterOnline, Wetter.com and also in Google Maps no location can be determined.
With all of the apps mentioned, I of course also checked that they had the authorization to access the location.
GPS is switched on, but it does not appear in the statusbar at the top, although I have activated it there. In the "GPS Test" app, however, the symbol is there. I tested it on the balcony, so there was a clear view of the sky.
Here are a few screenshots: The result of the "GPS test" and how it looks in the other apps:

Can you tell me what I can do there?
greeting
meggamoon
Can't really anyone help me there?
In my opinion there can be no hardware problem to blame, otherwise the "GPS test" wouldn't say that everything is OK, right?
There should either be something wrong in the settings or something ...?
I just installed the app "GPS Status & Toolbox", here you can also see that it should actually work, right?
