Ftf, rooted flashable.zip, stripped.ftf will be available when sony repair bug on his pcc server (pcc downloading old software, not new and give a error in installation)

Correct, I have downloaded the supposed new version using Sony PC Companion, but is the old one, not 108.

Ok, i tested 108, from thread starter,and is really nice update overall.
Nice score in antutu, apps opening noticeably quicker,1-2 new apps for camera, wifi delay no longer exists.
Totally recommend to flash this.

Tried the flashable zip, but it got stuck on the "Sony" logo. Left it for 30 minutes and nothing happened expect the phone getting very hot.
Flashed the FTF using Flashtool and that worked fine.

Make sure you are on .108 FW before flashing this
Also, you mean FTF not TFT

Silly question perhaps, but I'm still relatively new to the Android world and FTF flashing - I current have EURO-LTE_14.3.A.0.757 stock unbranded Central Europe on my Xperia Z1 C6903 (flashed back in April). Customization per secret menu shows R2C (1276-0875-R2C).
I see there are some ftfs up here for R1C and R3C but none for R2C - all Central Europe, so what is the difference between zone 1, 2 and 3?
Can I flash R1C to my phone, or do I have to wait for the rollout to reach me for the latest version? PCC is showing that I'm up to date, and I'm a bit scared to flash at the moment as PCC is acting up and refusing to create a backup of my phone...?? I don't muck about without a backup, ever.
I'm not rooted, bootloaded not unlocked (I'm still in warranty so won't be doing any of that until after my warranty expires) but I have flashed an unbranded stock rom to replace my branded rom (my service provider is a good 2-3 months behind with updates, very frustrating, nevermind the bloatware!)

Central europe 1 (1276-4318) is factory installed on devices for PL, CS and SK

Sorry I've been out of the android scene since JB so I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with these files. Been trying to hold out for OTA update but it's certainly taking a long time so I'm looking to just flash another region FTF on my phone. Can someone point me to a guide or give me a summarized list of what I do with these files? I know I have to flash them using flashtool but not sure which one to use.

Hi, you need a internet connection and also allow the app to get internet acess, it will work.
but you can flash it normally, just extract the boot.img and flash it with flashtool with fastbootmode and boot in twrp recovery and install the zip as regular rom zip and reboot

FINALLY!!! Downloading from Xperia Companion ==> 25%

Just got the nougat update OTA from Australia 1.275gb

for me OTA installation is stuck at about 90% for more than 20 minutes now....
Update: Finally unstuck and booting... Keep this in mind in case you are worried the update is stuck.

EDIT: I know these are bloody Google's modifications but still I need to vent somewhere

Just updated.
First impressions, UI is more or less the same, with new X-series rounded icons, and ability to add Google Now pane to the left side. And NO, there is no X-series lock-screen or wallpapers, or themes, just the same old Z5 series themes, which I'm a bit dissapointed with. Clear recent apps tab is now moved to top right (not very practical). Animations seem a bit smoother compared to Marshmallow. Drop-down menu as somebody pointed is a little bit changed, with first pull showing one row of 5 shortcuts, and second pull opening full drop-down of 3 shortcuts per row.

Also, additional 1GB of internal storage is free after update. And one thing I LOVE, is that sim icon is gone from status bar on Z5P Dual (well at least for me, as I'm using only one sim).

No manual controls... The same old camera with newly designed capture button and ability to switch front/back cameras with swipe.

For QPST: 1>Install all the drivers on your PC and extract the ROM package in a folder named 'ZUK' inside 'C' drive
2>Open QPST program with Administrator Support(to avoid Saraha error)
3>Click 'Flat Build', then 'Browse' and then navigate to the extracted folder and select
4>Click 'Load xml' and select rawprogram-flash0.xml the second one will ask for patch0.xml
5> Get your phone and boot into emergency mode.. how to do? Here's how: Your phone has to be on and ready to use, as well as having usb debugging mode activated, then connect your USB cable to the phone. Now open a CMD promt in the folder you extracted Fastboot/ADB files, by holding shift button on your keyboard and then click right mouse click.In this CMD type in: adb reboot edl and then phone will reboot and you should be able to see the phone connected as port 9008 in qpst..
6> Now click Download and wait till the process completes and once it's done unplug the phone and Reboot your phone by holding the power button for 8 secs.
First Boot may take sometime.. So kindly wait..
Voila.. Installation Successful

Baseband 1.70xxxx.. yes flashing it will relock the bootloader.. wait a while cause i removed the link.. corrupted.. will update soon.. no it won't upgrade your baseband from 1.70xxx to 1.76xxx

November Security Patch.. camera2api not implemented but the performance of the camera is good even in low light without hdr+

I had tried the dev versions of zui 3.5 and camera was better than Google camera except in low light

No you cannot flash this with twrp.. you will need locked bootloader.. For the moment, don't download from the link cause the file is corrupted

Camera2api isn't activated by default.. by you can try flashing the camera2api zip through twrp and see if it works but honestly the default camera works very good after the update even without camera2api

I'm on 3.5.243dev.. it is much better than stock nougat

Changes that I've noticed since updated:
- One UI, yes, the most significant one, I like it a lot especially the dark mode.
- Performance: better overall performance and daily use experience. There are some games I experienced lag on Oreo become incredibly smooth on Pie (Super Phantom Cat for example)
- Better bluetooth connectivity with less latency.
- Some other nice improvements here and there.
What's broken?
- SAMSUNG PAY IS BROKEN. The app is still there but it failed to use with any POS by MST (I haven't try with NFC yet)

Have you noticed downloading lag (eg. when checking for software update using thrid party software or downloading updates through google play?)? I mean the download progress bar is not filling. You just wait and suddenly after a while it say app is updated. In addition there is serious battery drain compared to oreo. Beta 2 is out to try now.

Because the original thread is in S8 group, there's nothing like this in S8+ group. I just want to make it easier for everyone else to find the link.

There's none of your issues happened to me. Noted that I did factory reset after first updated to Pie, so maybe there's a bit better stability.

Can you please specify all steps involved here please? I've read original post but cant get all things. I'm running official stock oreo version. That would be alot of favour as i am a newbie to this stuff

You have to be on CRL3 (latest Oreo for BTU) to install the beta. Not CRLB, not CRLI, not ABCD, but CRL3.
Copy the update.zip on the SD Card, boot into recovery (Bixby, Vol+, Power), update from SD, select the zip and wait. That's all.

Hello all.
I have: G955FXXS4CRLB
Which is newset that CRL3
When I try to update Beta1 it fails with error:
error in sideload package.zip status 7
Is it caused by soft version or is it caused by some other problem?
Can I load CRL3(older version) by Odin and then try to install Beta1?

Ok, So I did it, I have flashed CRL3 version via Odin, then ----> Beta1--->Beta2 and all is working fine!!!
So if you have same issue as me you can do it safely.
