Are you using the RIGHT arm version of gapps? Arm64 is the correct one.

We have a 64 bit processor, but Motorola decided to ship the device with a 32bit OS. Stock and all nougat ROMs are 32 bit. However, our amazing devs created 64 bit sources for us to use, and now all our Oreo ROMs are 64 bit, so use arm64 GApps.

This belongs in the Q&A section.
There is no active RR development for the OP5. The official build never got off the ground and is not fit for use. I recommend LOS 15.1 from codeworkx, or if you need more features, Dirty Unicorns Oreo, which you can get from their website. That will do you until Pie ROMs mature a bit.
Update your TWRP and Firmware to latest Official before flashing ROM. Opengapps Pico is good. ARM64.

I would.
Nandroid before you begin. Update TWRP to latest and flash full OOS zip. Run it once and then back to Recovery to do your wipes and custom ROM/Gapps flash.

Hi, I've been using Havoc OS 3.5 arm64-ab version for a year and I wanted to try some new roms, but when I install any android 11 rom it just ends up in a bootloop. The only one that I could successfully install was Havoc 4.3 from a thread here in xda, even from sourceforge I couldn't install Havoc 4.1. Is there any way to successfully install an Evolution X or Corvus OS android 11 arm64-ab rom? My stock rom is Android 10 U9.
try this
GSI for the Galaxy A20 (Android 10)
What is GSI? GSI stands for Generic System Image and will allow you to install an alternative ROM on your Galaxy A20? No longer will we be restricted to the Samsung ROM. These ones worked for me. If they don't work for you, go to the list of...

Hi, thanks for your answer, that's how I've been doing the installation but unfortunately doesn't work. Everything goes fine until I install the android 11 corvus/evox gsi, which are supposed to be arm64 ab, same as the havoc rom I've used for almost a year, but it always ends up in a bootloop.
Gsi is very tricky

I want to install LineageOS with OpenGAPPS but i am not sure which i have to choose - ARM or ARM64. Which one is the recommended choice?
ARM version, you couldn't install ARM64 version even if you wanted to because X Play kernel is 32-bit.
