I facebook messaged the USA site for Huawei. The response I received, came with a web link. They said that since
my phone, purchased on Amazon, was NXT-L29C185, they could not help me as this was a middle east/african build
but, try emailing the link they provided.
I did, but have not heard back. Might try it yourself.

Something new about R2BA013??

Way back in late April there were rumors, that soon there came a new FW to X10i, namely R2BA013. Now we are in early June and has still not been any FW.
Does anyone know anything new on the FW R2BA013 to X10i??

There are rumors that the update will be released this week, but they were posted on a chinese page and noone confirmed anything.
I sent an email to SE last week but no answer at all... what was I expecting we are talking about SE...
The only thing I know for sure is, that in the german board pocketpc.ch there is a user in contact with the SE support. He was told that the smaller X10 update should have been already released, but then it was stopped and delayed.
The small minor update is now a big major update but thats all, no further information.
Here is the link to the thread. It's in german but perhaps Google Translator will help *g*

so now here again the summary info from the conversation this afternoon.
the previously rumored known and confirmed R2B update was pulped and does not come. exactly why he could not tell me because of his visible ago everything was OK. However, it is again revised and improved but was graded with a very high security at the middle of June. so it should soon come to the validation and maximum of 3 to 4 weeks available on SEUS be .....
definitely confirm it was me that there the battery problem is resolved. There are also preserving stability and strong performance improvements. I also have the error with the cards in the VZ Timescape again mentioned that the infinite symbol disappears after contact link and some other little things ..... nochn
we only need a little patience and then the problem should also be history

Positive Signs...
@Everyone... I sent a complaint email to the CEO of SE a couple of weeks ago and I got a call last week from someone in their support centre in Newcastle (UK).. which I missed then when I tried to call them back they had gone off unplanned.. however... they were back in today and called me...
They confirmed that the updated software release has been fully tested and is signed off for distribution. He is chasing down an exact timeline for me and expects to be able to confirm it for me tomorrow at the latest. He believes it to be imminent.
When he calls me back I will update you all, and I'll also see if he can confirm what the update will give us.
Light.. tunnel... maybe!
Excellent
Root loopholes closed, maybe? Lol thanks ice, totally appreciated!

I'll probably hold off updating until we get some information from the "rooters" sony are notoriously known for releasing updates that close off or even make "hacking" even harder!!
They also keep an eye on developments such as in these forums...
this is really good news! would the update be for all country's?

Yep, and then the update gets dumped again and we have to wait another month for the updated update that gets dumped again. Reminds me a little bit of the movie Groundhog Day *g*

Is the update coming via pigeons?

Hey,hello the and welcome to my post.
I want to ask you guys how long the Grand Prime update will take until it will arrive in all places (I'm from Romania).
Will it take more than a month ? I talked to some assistance guys at the samsung live chat but they've told me that i have 4.4.4 (WOW,BREAKING NEWS...) and just some other retard things like : "you will have it once it arrives".
Well,ok,we know how the big corporatons treat their customers, but we're not here to talk about that.
For an example, how long did your mid range phone recieved an update after the first country recieved it?
How long you guys think will take to recieve the Sm-G530fz update in Romania?
Thanks .

US Mate 9 (C567)

Official Oreo for the US Mate 9 is now on firmware finder, build is MHA-L29 8.0.0.312 (C567). I used firmware finder and tried to install but get the update is not authorized error and can't install. Any ideas on how to bypass the check without rooting or installing twrp? Or since the official non beta Oreo is out there should I just be patient and wait on Huawei to authorize this room and push it out to our devices?
It showed up on the "stock" update, for my U.S. version of the Mate 9 Thursday morning.
Gonna wait till another week or so and try to hit the "check for updates" button to see if I'll be able to get it on my C567
Still hasn't shown up on mine yet

Yes, it was an official update, so I installed it. I was on 7...B190. My phone is 100% out of the box
stock, save for Nova Launcher Prime. The update was from the official channel, so I installed it.
No issues.

I wasn't really expecting it. I figured, with the roll out of the Mate 10, it would be a couple weeks til they officially
pushed it to the USA version of the Mate 9.
Nothing here at all for my C567. Sitting on B190 as well. Checked for updates via OTA and via HiSuite on the computer.
Tried to o get an answer from Huawei on when it would be rolling out to the rest of the US models but they were absolutely no help whatsoever, just canned responses that didn't tell me s***, guess I didn't really expect much else. Huawei really needs to step up their game, especially with timely security updates if they want any kind of real market share here in the US.
Nothing here either

Totally! I called them yesterday and they gave me the same BS. This is my first Huawei device and I've seen that the IMEI needs to be whitelisted. So that's what I called for. The guy told me that the updates came from my carrier. Yet I told them at least 5 times that I bought it from Newegg unlocked. And they couldn't give me an sweet other then the US Mate 9 site itself.
I seen someone say they contacted Huawei through Facebook and they suddenly got updates 0.o

If the guy told you that updates come through the carrier he is trying to feed you a big line of BS. Since no US carriers support our carry Huawei products. All updates for Huawei phones come from Huawei, even the Chinese varieties. And that whitelisting thing is also a lot of BS. If Huawei wants to break into the US market they need to fix this garbage.

This is very likely to be beta.
The chances of US variant of mate 9 getting official oreo before europe is astronomical.

US Oreo Beta?

Just wondering if any people who received the TUF email from Huawei has gotten their OTA yet. I understand that it's a staggered roll out but just want a general feel of how fast it's moving. Also I haven't seen anyone mention actually receiving their US OTA.
Edit: I'm specifically talking about BND-L24
I got the ota around noon today, cst.

I'm curious. If you were able to to a factory reset, make a complete backup using the TWRP run method (not the install method), save the resulting files in a zip on a Google Drive, and share the link - would I (and people like me with the L24 and TWRP installed) be able to use that to "restore" from TWRP?
East coast here, nothing yet. If you go to the Honor's 7x FB page they said that even if you didn't get an email from the FUT trial and filled the form, you should be able to get the OTA. Checking the settings>system update.
I did this and nothing yet.
Curious.
I wonder why we wouldn't get the OTA.
I have bootloader unlocked, TWRP installed, and, therefore, am on the B101 build, not B130. Do you think that might have something to do with it?

This beta OTA is a staged roll-out. Everyone that had been approved for the beta will receive the OTA by March 20th.

Well don't worry, I applied and got the email saying I would have it by friday.........accept nothing has come thru, tried all the methods they said. Nothing. So it's definitely not been pushed to US or other regions yet or we would have seen it on here by now. Huawei hasn't done what they said so don't worry, it has not been pushed yet. I actually have the mate 10 lite for 275 and it seems very similar but they are vastly different in hardware. 4 gb/ 64 ROM, I know the se mate does too, but I had all three lined up and the screen on the mate 10 lite is at least 200 nits higher when I measured it vs any of the others, same with the mate p smart which btw comes with OREO already baked in when you buy and it's only 235 and has the good screen of the mate 10 lite, and OREO already in it.

Don't know what your talking about with it's not getting pushed to the US, literally the first person to respond said he got his from CTS zone. Still very disappointed though that it's the end of Saturday and east coast still hasn't gotten it yet.
