Changelog
Huawei designed EMUI 5.0 based on the newly released Android 7.0. The brand new EMUI 5.0 is inspired by the pure blues and whites of the Aegean Sea. The interface is simple and smart, and EMUI 5.0 comes with enhanced, powerful performance that allows mobile phones to operate more smoothly.
Recommendations
• A cleaner, more interactive interface A brand new UI and effects inspired by the blues and whites of the Aegean Sea. Simplified gestures, with most operations completed in 3 steps. EMUI 5.0 is more customizable, offering an optional Android App Drawer layout to users.
• Enhanced features System operations are more fluid, allowing you to view a massive amount of images, browse websites, and perform searches faster.
Find out more
• Notifications. An optimized design combines shortcuts with notifications to reduce the complexity of user actions. Touch and hold notifications to quickly block messages and notifications. Reminder cards are stacked to save space.
• Three dimensional task management Tasks are stacked three dimensionally on the UI. Smooth gestures allow users to scroll through tasks by sliding up and down or dismiss tasks by swiping left or right.
• Camera now supports plug-in management. Infrequently used modes, like document readjustment, are presented as plug-ins to save internal memory on your phone.
• Contacts Customization and sharing features added to name cards. The sharing feature allows quick sharing of contacts through Bluetooth, Facebook, and other methods. Added a scanner to the search box and lock screen, making it easier to add new contacts.
• Email Improved how unread emails are tagged in the inbox. Users can now quickly delete, star, and mark emails as read or unread from the left sliding menu.
• Settings Created a new suggested settings feature that recommends key settings based on the device's current status. Now, your phone is more capable of adjusting to your habits. Added a newly designed drawer feature. When this feature is enabled, it hides non-system preset apps in a drawer on the home screen, presenting you with a simple and tidy layout. Added a new drawer feature for settings. For settings that take two or more steps to set up, the user can now jump directly back to the main settings page with one gesture. Emergency information added. Users can add their names, blood type, and other information, so emergency services personnel can view this information from the lock screen. Added App twin, a feature that allows users to log in to two different accounts for third-party apps such as WhatsApp and Facebook.
Update Note:
1.EMUI 5.0 includes substantial changes to functionality, which may impact your usage habits. For more details, go to HiCare and check out our user guide.
2. Huawei recommend that you back up any important data before updating.
3. The system will restart after the update. This will take about 10 minutes. Following the update, your home screen will automatically display the EMUI 5.0 theme.
4. If you encounter any issues while using EMUI 5.0, please document the issue and call our official helpline. Visit Huawei's consumer website for hotline information.

Software intallation filed on 39% with dload method :crying:
I'm not sure why, but I had to use twrp-3.0.2-0-next.img version of TWRP (use the link in the OP but change "twrp-3.0.3.img" to "twrp-3.0.2-0-next.img"). The 3.0.3 version posted in the OP just caused my phone to hang when going into recovery.
With 3.0.2-0-next, it allowed me to complete the Zip installs. Really loving Nougat on this phone!
Dload still not working
There are files that can't be updated via dload that's why it fails.
Best is to install via HiSuite or TWRP!
As usual @sillanwali quick and on the target

These files that are missing, are they something that a user can insert to the .app folder, or is it something Huawei bakes into it?
Cheers.

I'm using it in Australia too. Maybe its prohibiting us from getting a newer version?
I've installed 3 updates, 2 were beta and now this B521 but its build numer always stay as NRD90M test-keys. HISuite says im already on last version. Quite confusing

Battery Backup may slightly Worse, but not bad. I have to observe for a few days more. I dont see anything wrong with Photo Processing, may be i am no expert. There is an interesting feature in Wide Aperture mode, 3D view, where you can have a 3D effect when you tilt your phone. That was cool.
Im on android 6 !
Can i use this for my phone ?
If i cant how can i root android m ??
Thx in advance !!!
I have the PEUL00 chinese version of this phone on EMUI 3.1 (Android 5.1); firmware version B351 downloaded from their chinese site; have anyone tried to run the update to Marshmellow at all? Do you think it will brick? Thanks.
I have the Pe-TL10,Chinese version, currently on 5.1.1, developer version.CUSTCHNC00672. Very nice, almost like MM, which is running on my Galaxy Tab S(Cyanogenmod 13....). Will hold out with this I guess, until the real MM update for TL10 arrives, cause I need the phone in working order 24.... : -)

Umm... are you sure? I might be mistaken but I think that Honor 6 and 6+ didn't receive any _official_ updates, only the ones sent to the betatesters. Your Marshmallow files are not on Huawei servers either, to me it seems like someone downloaded them from closed beta source and re-uploaded them.
after attempting to install it, the phone is stuck now in bootloader, what can I do, knowing that my bootloader is locked, and I was on the Russian B334 and I used the files the "Update.app" file and put it into the dload folder in the internal phone memory (phone sd card), interestingly, and the update process continued without errors but after restart it is stuck in boot loop.
N.B I didn't copy the other folder in the update file such as system, patch, META-INF and cust.
what I did wrong? and how can I fix my phone?
Problem in B503
Ok.. I updated to B503 15 days ago.. Battery recharging is very fast and it drains also little bit fast while in sleep state battery time is longer. Its smother and no issues.
But there are few things i didnt find in B503.
There is no local update option in updater and i just tried to go back to B334 via mentioned process and it fails.
There is no online themes in this software.
I heard about dual windows in marshmallow. I couldnt find in it

lol, haha, my bad.... l.aughing so hard right now...in H60-L04, B503 was lollipop
I was on the russian B334 and so I unzipped the update package from B334 to B503 and I copied the update.app to the dload folder and then I made the local update through the updater, and now the phone gone in bootloop, afterward I discovered that i had to NOT to unzipp the package and to put the update.zip instead in the dload folder, but too late
I tried everything, SD flashing by all the version that I know, such as B130, B135, B300, B500, B324, B332, B334, B503, and finally I flashed the new UAE B510, through the adb commands, ( by flashing the boot, system, recovery, userdata, cust) and it works good except that i can't turn on the wifi nor the bluetooth
any suggestions
N.B. I bout my phone from Saudi, but don't know exactly what is my original firmware version.

Thank you! Currently in Nougat and so far I have no issues with the ROM. Great guide.
A beta tester of latest beta version have already confirmed this is not final official version in fact a new beta is currently sent out to beta testers.
I just do not like when people lie, some people are so eager to install the new nougat version that they do not really care or want to realize that it is not a final version.
This is just a beta version just like all other so called "final" vesions that have been spreading on this forum lately.

thanks, good to know... I'm not in a beta tester but tried via dload and failed, so I assumed it's not final release
in fact, today I see a new OTA with the same build 560, 419mb adding a HiGame app or something like that
FYI, I don't even bother opening firmware finder, just check this link directly, it's the same

I am realy nob in this stuff, and I don't know if this is the best way to do the update. I am not responsable in any damage to your device.
1. first you don't have to be root
2. download the firmware finder app in play store
3. check for updates, and enable the proxy options in settings
4. write in the manual proxy name: localhost and 8080 in port
5. you have to chose the correct firmware update and then send it to the originall updater of M3
6. update your tablet.
I dont know if is necessary but first I did the previus update that I didnt have yet and then I do the update to emui 5.

How to update BTV-DL09C100 Huawei Mediapad M3 to Nougat BTV-DL09C100B301
Hello Everyone,
I am happy to report that updating my Huawei media pad m3 to nougat has been very smooth.
My device
BTV-DL09 European firmware
This is the path I followed
BTV-DL09C100B006 - > BTV-DL09C100B009 (from Huawei website) -> BTV-DL09C100B010 (firmware finder) -> BTV-DL09C100B301 (firmware finder)
Updating to B009 is easy, just download from Huawei website. Link from another thread.
http://consumer.huawei.com/it/support/search/index.htm?keywords=btv-dl09&t=SupportSearch
Install the latest version of firmware finder from play store
After you get to B009 use the firmware finder to go to B010
How to use firmware finder?
Inside the firmware -> go to settings-> switch on the option -> add on proxy
Now go to your Wi-Fi settings
Tap and hold your Wi-Fi connection
You should get two options
Select "modify network"
Select - "manual" option
Then add the below in the respective fields
Proxy - > localhost
Port -> 8080
That's it. Save the settings. If you don't see the update here then go to firmware finder and select the firmware you want to download - > click on "send firmware to updater" . And then go back to updater in settings and check. you should see the OTA to update.
Now go to settings - > updater-> you should see update for B010 205mb
Once you are done, again go to updater. Now you should see the update for B301. This is 2.42gb
Just click on update and wait for it to finish. It will reboot twice. Wait for it to finish optimizing the system.
You have Android nougat now on your BTV-DL09
Operating system is gorgeous. It is very similar to what I found on Huawei mate 8.
I am happy with all the visual changes and settings.
I am enclosing screenshots for all to have a look.
Have fun updating. I would recommend updating to nougat without any hesitation. This is safe way.
Don't forget ????????
?
Cheers!
Sam
Nothing for US version.

Hi. Thank you for you reply.
Not in apps??
On my Honor 7 move apps to SD card:

Well it says here that "19,44mb are stored in internal storage", maybe if you set SD card as default location the data will be stored on the SD Card. However, moving Apps directly to SD Card is not possible, but it was also not possible under 6.0 MM.
Hi! Is it an official final version of emui 5? Because huawei said it has'nt released yet.
I made the update yesterday thru My PC,mine say update failed but after reboot my Mediapad Is on Android 7.0,so I don't know why say "failed" I found some differences from marshmallow here are:
1- not update settings option
2-finger print sensor is not working when I choose the" show the navigation bar " option ,before the update I can press the FP to go Home.
3-right now apps like Netflix don't support multiwindows like before.

I saw the picture.
Yes u don't have that "update" option.
Here is what you can do to solve your problems.
1) Use rollback package from Huawei link I have given.
http://consumer.huawei.com/it/support/search/index.htm?keywords=btv-dl09&t=SupportSearch
Check the screenshot
Use Dload method
create a folder in the external SD card & name it as dload
put the rollback update.app in that dload folder
Switch off the tablet
Press volume up + down + power - all at same time
You will get that screen for updating.
Release the buttons and it will rollback to EMUI 4.1
2) Once that is done, your tablet will show the right build number & not that NRD-keys
3) Now check the the Huawei website again from step 1 and this time download the B006 firmware for your W09 model.
4) It is better you save that rollback package to some other folder after you rollback. That is a very important file.
Now put the update.app of that firmware again in that dload folder that you created before removing the previous rollback package from that folder.
5) Do the steps 3 and 4 only if your model is C100B006 for W09 model. If your model is different then use firmware finder and follow the below instructions (Below steps are very important. firmware finder can push the two zips as one update.app to your updater. So do this correctly.
Now go to your Wi-Fi settings
Tap and hold your Wi-Fi connection
You should get two options
Select "modify network"
Select - "manual" option
Then add the below in the respective fields
Proxy - > localhost
Port -> 8080
That's it. Save the settings. If you don't see the update here then go to firmware finder and select the firmware you want to download - > click on "send firmware to updater" . And then go back to updater in settings and check. you should see the OTA to update.
6) you should be able to update to higher OTA using firmware finder - remember to check the model in firmware finder. If it is not showing correct model then change the model and search for correct firmware.
7) Use dload method to update to next higher firmware for your model. for my model I had to update from B006 to B009 then to B010 and only then I updated to nougat. So check for your model which firmware is next. Do not skip or jump from lower firmware to nougat directly. I read in one Italian firmware & they have specifically mentioned to follow this rule. Not sure why but it is better to do it that way just to avoid any surprises.
One more site to get stock firmware's check this Russian site - http://hwmt.ru/oth/HWFF/info/view.php
8) Factory reset in case you still have problems after all the steps.
Hope this information is useful for you and solves all your problems.

This is a Guide to install the Global ROM Flyme OS 6Global on the Meizu Pro 6 Plus Chinese version.
Note: This is also a way to install Any custom ROM made in the future. If someone wanna Customize the ROM( Integrate Xposed and other stuff) feell free to do it.
What does this mean:
Meizu released two versions of the Pro 6 Plus, a chineese version (A) for china and an International version (G) for the devices sold in other countries (International). If you bought your Pro 6 plus from official meizu store on your country, it will come with the G version, but if you bought it from Aliexpress or any other Chinese store, you will buy a Chinese version, some seller may send you the international version if you are lucky but the majoritynot.
Global / International version:
No bloatware, chinese apps..
Multilanguage ( all languages available)
Stock apps optimized for International use (Weather....)
seems to be smoother and faster than the chinese version.

Now you will see a screen with all the actions that will be done, select the action called Reboot and un-thick the option Preserve recovery, leave Normal selected.
Finally click on FLASH and wait until the process ends.
Enjoy...
Note: In case of any problems and you want a clean installation, add the wipe action from the + button before flashing. But it should not be needed.
Note: it seems to be a problem with supersu if you don't wipe data before update. so to avoid problems, you should wipe before flash.
If you want to keep your apps and data, you should make a data (data partition only) backup from flashfire before updating. then wipe and update, follow instructions to root and to have super su. After that you can use flshfire to restore data backup (only data partition) .
also you can use kingroot but its not compatible with flashfire.
If you already updated, you can use titanium backup(give root permision from system root in settings, security root permissions)make a backup of your apps and then follow the guide below How to go back to stock chinese ROM in case of disaster, after that follow the instruction of new installation and when you have the that done, you can rstore your apps with titanium backup.

Older Versions:
Flyme OS 6.7.4.11_beta_Global_Pro 6 Plus for Flashfire
Thanks for this tutorial! It was very detailed and easy to follow.
In the future when I want to perform an update, do I need to go through FlashFire in order for it to work correctly on a Chinese version of the device? Also, where do you download the "G" versions of the beta firmware? I know their next release is a stable version and I know it comes out after the A version; just wondering where you go to download it. Cheers!

For future update you can download the stable from http://www.flymeos.com/firmwarelist?modelId=46&type=1. Or the betas from flyme forum. You will have to edit the installation script to be able to flash through flashfire and don't get error and avoid firmware problems. Anyway i will upload the future updates modified for flashfire.

Thanks!!! I tried looking through the zip file to see what you changed, but didn't know which file to go into. I assume it's not as easy as opening up a file in notepad and changing some data on there.

im surprised at how small the response to this phone is....just stumbled upon it while looking for a new device.
this is rather off-topic but this seems to be the most active thread

i have question,i can flash the Flyme 5.2.7.0G by this method?
@bihariel Hey I have a question for you. Have you ever experienced a sudden change in battery life out of nowhere? When I first installed this firmware, the battery was perfect. All of a sudden after charging my phone, the battery is draining at an unprecedented rate especially on standby. I charged the phone to 100%, disabled all notification/wifi/cellular network and left it on overnight to activate the battery calibration. The problem still exists however. It's draining about 1% every 2 minutes on standby which is ridiculous.
I'm just wondering if you ever encountered this issue before.

You can but you have to modify the script to avoid firmware files and recovery.img to be flashed, which would end in an installation abort,

Not really, the battery is surprising me on this ROM. Maybe you sould use a battery monitoring app and see whats draining it. If not, do a factory reset and see if it still prsists.

Hello everyone, thanks a lot bihariel for this guide.
I have successfully installed the beta with flashfire and it's all ok!
Some people say flashfy is not a very safe method, what do you think? I'm not an expert.
However, I did not go to the flymex account synchronization, now I've installed the closed beta apps yesterday and it works perfectly well!
We wait for the stable then!
Can you explain how you modified the update for the future? Thanks so much.
Are Alternative Methods to Flashfire? Type ADB?
In Italy a seller on his blog posted this guide, but I could not install it:
"The tutorial for installing firmware G in the Asian Meizu Pro 6 Plus smartphone is really very simple and does not require solid modding basics, you just have to be careful about installing ADB drivers correctly.
Load the battery completely before you begin the procedure and save all your important data

I can tell you that for now the safest method is flashfire because it install the ROM in same way that the Recovery does, that is: it wipes the system partition and installs the ROM with correct permissions.
The method you mention is more risky( to get a bootloop) because it overwrites the ROM files directly over the System partition with the OS still running on phone. This drives into a system hang freeze. of course you have to turn it of by holding power button until it restarts. Then you have to go recovery and do a factory reset if you get bootloop.
I tried this method before Flasfire but it gave me bootloop so then i used Flashfire because it do the same job that Recovery does.
About the modifications, its really simple. Just open \META-INF\com\google\androidupdater-script and delete all the lines in red in this picture (these lines check if your phone is Chinese version or global and update the firmware files.)
Also you can delete the files related to those lines just for safety (boot.img, recovery.img, logo.bin, ldfw, bootloader..)

Salam,
The camera bug is weird, i don't have that bug, i open the camera ( front and back) many times and it works perfectly, maybe you changed something in camera setting ( erasing camera app data should help)
Anyway, the script is exactly the same as mine, its just you are using and editor with Arabic orientation.
Just use the app Notepad++( google it) and open it in English lang.
If not, just upload the script for me and i will edit it.
