Hi guys.. just for wasting my time, i've configured TWRP for our LEM5!
I only need one of you guys, to test my relase, because i've not LEM5 at the moment (i wait delivery).
For info, i've just unpacked TWRP for Finow X5 and unpacked boot.img from TWRP stock LEM5 ROM (where i've took LEM5 kernel), and after copy/paste LEM5 kernel in unpacked TWRP folder (overwriting X5 kernel obviously) i've re-packed all in recovery.img!

I assumed this result. But no problem, i think the problem was the mtkextractor that don't work properly. I've just set my new kitchen. Today i try to resolve the issue by new kitchen.
I would be really grateful if you can test my new work!

No it does not work. I just checked the specifications of finow X5 and it is different from lemfo lem5 and hence a twrp recovery for/of finow x5 cannot be ported to lemfo lem5. The main difference is, the cpu is different and the Android os version is different, apart from that the rom and ram sizes are different. This recovery will not work on lem5
---------- Post added at 04:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:33 PM ----------
The ram and rom size may not be an issue, but the cpu has to be exactly the same and the Android OS has to be the same for a twrp to be ported

Yes, finow x5 plus specifications match the lemfo lem5. you can port the TWRP recovery of finow x5 plus, if available to lemfo lem5. please provide link after porting and I will flash and check and let you know the results

Really good! I need the BoardConfig.mk of our device (X5+ or LEM5 is the same).
With this file i will try to compile TWRP Source for Android 5.1.
It's a really hard work, and i don't know if i will be able to do this. But if i don't try i don't know it!
You can find BoardConfig.mk in your device tree. I think you must have root access to find it, and a good file manager like ES explorer or root explorer.
I wait you or anyone want help me to find this x5+/LEM5 config file.
Thanx.
I have already made it - but it is upside down. Cannot change it as it is embedded in the kernel - too dangerous to release it

You're asking a lot I'm not sure but do you have asked that already in some threads..? There is small possibility that we see Lollipop on u8800pro but we just have to wait.
But @Blefish have made great job with u8800 and u8860 so make donation for him? Or even better if you have a spare u8800pro send it to him so he can take a look on it and probably make a Android 5 for u8800pro.

Looks very shady site, links do not work at all and those positive comments on site.. And why the rom is not here in XDA or some other popular site like 4pda? But this made my day: Upgrade/Update Nokia 3310 to 5.0 Lollipop. Looks like a hoax to me.
EDIT: In case if you're wondering what is Nokia 3310 check Wikipedia - Nokia 3310. I owned 3330, it was a good phone.

Ha ha, alarm bells started ringing as soon as I saw this link ,its funny no one has mentioned anything about even starting to develop 5.0 ,then all of a sudden there is a download link to what is an apparently finished (or at least usable) ROM...sure enough when trying said link,we get a 'click on an offer' page before continuing. Brilliant.

But I heard, that on u8800 working good and without critical bugs. Seems, u8800pro got stable rom too.
We just have 5.1 in u8800pro
Steps:
1) TWRP last version sourceforge . net/projects/legacyhuawei/files/Recoveries/U8800PRO/
2)BlePart sourceforge . net/p/legacyhuawei/wiki/BlePart-LVM/
3) ROM legacyhuawei . ddns . net/CyanogenModOTA/_builds/u8800pro/
4) Google Apps 5.1 Minimal androidfilehost . com/?fid=95916177934550851
If I understand good, I have to repartitioning the size, through "Blepart-LVM-11.ZIP" file on my U8800+.
I flash the TWRP 2.6.0 recovery (through recovery or replace on pink screen will be the same???), flash through new recovery the file "Blepart-LVM-11.ZIP", and restart the phone.
Now I can install the new Lollipop Rom and sequently the Minimal Gapps (If I want).
Is correct???
Second question, Is correct to say that after changed the partition, I no must install any old ROM not based on VLM, but if I want do it, I have to come back to Not VLM, flashing again the file on recovery???

No one wanted to question the authenticity of the blefish's work. Your nickname, blefish's nickname and someone else, are a guarantee on this brand. Our doubts and demands were the procedures for installing and before adopting them wanted to clarify them and make them public as clearly as possible to prevent error and problem to others user.

Hello, just got as a present Lenovo a1000 phone with android 5.0
First thing I'm trying to see if it can be upgraded to 6.0
I found a number of links that claim to be rewritten instructions from xda-developer forum. But the download links look like a scam. Need to complete serveys to download files and ask for phone number, etc. So I can't get to downloading these files. Searching for one hour in the forums, I can't find any posts with information about a1000 phone let alone marshmallow upgrade.
So my question is if there's any hope for marshmallow on Lenovo mobile phone a1000? If so how do I get to the ROM?
Not sure I can paste a link but let me try.. ok, using obfuscation as new users can't post links (first space is a dot '.', the others are slashes '/'):
marshmallow-rom net download rom-lenovo-a1000
Update: I can't leave a comment on the sites. Sounds like actual scam.. I guess lollipop wins.. Good at least phone looks more usable than other lenovo phones I've seen. Time will tell.
Update 2: I have managed to download the files by using a US mirror. They are completely different thing than promised. Some windows programs. So it is a SCAM. There is to date no marchmallow firmware for a1000. If you don't find a reputable source, don't click on the advertisings so the pastards don't win.

this is a good way to update or downgrade the firmware(no need ODIN) but what i test 'till now, dont work
the TWRP just dont want to write the neded partitions for upgrade.
i tested the script from miui(miui has a script for firmware -upgrade) too and the same result "nothing changed"
i will try to add lines in script for mounting every partitions, one by one maybe this will work

I kind of did mention but got your name wrong.
This works for lenovo a6000 and a6000+.
And this works for other phones also. Initially I was scared that I may end up doing some harm to the bootloader. And that's why I never went ahead.
Since TWRP is working on both mm and lp bootloader this makes are task much easier. I also saw a samsung device being upgraded like this. Shall I give the link??

Hey guys...i have the same device (Pra-la1).
If you want to root just follow the same instructions that are on Huawei p8 lite 2017 section.
And the recovery for p8 lite 2017 (pra-lx1) is the same with honor 8 lite (pra-la1) and I've been using it since day one that I bought that phone.
And i think both phones are the same except the model name...
I tried to flash the ROM from pra-lx1 and actually they are both the same.

Wow , great Info
Yea since they are both "PRA" so just the same.

If you need a tester I'm willing to help... I'll do anything to see a custom ROM on my device...not EMUI based...maybe LINEAGE OS or similar AOSP based

Every attempt at rooting has led me to be stuck in eRecovery
I have no problem flashing and using TWRP, but i when i flash SuperSu (i tried all verisons for p8 lite 2017) and it always gets me stuck at eRecovery :/

So u can flash recovery but no Supersu? Which firmware u have right now? and android version

Firmware : pra-la1c185b100
Android 7.1
Yes, the latest version of TWRP is running just fine, but whenever i try to flash SuperSu (Using TWRP) i get stuck at eRecovery, flashing unSU.zip doesn't fix the problem, the only way to fix it is to remove supersu file from /data
Rommco05 said:
Android 7.1? can I see screenshot please? Try download custom supersu from twrp thread in Honor 8 is for all kirin devices maybe should work

It's 7.0
And I'm trying to update to version B120 right now, I'll tell if Root works after the update

That's not needed. Just need to mount vendor before flashing.
