This is the current situation:
Unlocked bootloader in B05 and updated to B08. Everyting fine so far. Playing with GravityBox and adjusted quicksettings settings. After reboot phone wasn't to handle anymore. Screen went on and off and other things. Wiped the device and installed xposed framework again - gravitybox as well and activated it - reboot - stuck on axon 7 boot screen. Tried it several times, but no module can be activated anymore. Installed B09 / B06 all the same. It is now only working in B03.
Hope anyone can help or offer some solutions. Thanks in advance ? ?
Marcus
Hey Marcus, I assume you have TWRP installed. So go to terminal in TWRP type
Reboot disemmcwp
Then hit enter after phone reboots install Xposed framework again and you should be good to go

Have you installed the no-verity patch? otherwise you won't be able to boot a modified system partition.
It boots, but after activating any module with exposed installer it stucks.
What is the no-verity patch? Never heard so far.

By default the Axon 7 checks for modifications before booting. If anything's modified, you pretty much end up in a bootloop. The no-verity patch lets you work around this feature and prevents the bootloops.
OK. With B03 don't have issues.
Can someone please tell me where to find this patch?

I had the same situation.
what i do is go to twrp file manager and delete gravitybox folder in data/data.
take carefully what options you check in gravitybox, specially in lockscreen settings.
additionaly, it seems xposed causes some random reboots on my phone.
But it is not only gravitybox. It doesn't matter what kind of module I install. And don't forget that everything was working before I played with gravitybox. So I have to live without it. ??

That's right I forgot about that. Never could figure out what setting it was. Ended up doing a fresh install and only using couple status bar tweaks pretty much don't touch gravity box anymore.
But you are doing better then me as I could never fully boot since you are able to boot go to apps and delete the data for gravity box. Reboot see what happens
If anyone cares, here's my solution. On all my Phones I had xposed version 86 installed. Now just upgraded to 87 e voila it runs smoothly. ?

I guess someone had to be the guinea pig to see if it works or not, and honestly it was quite a lengthy exploratory process... here are the steps that I performed, you are solely responsible for your own phone and I am not liable for any complications or damage yadda yadda yadda
1) Be sure you have root access and make a TWRP backup before trying any of this
2) Download the Xposed Installer 3.0 alpha4 to your phone
3) Download the Xposed uninstaller arm to your phone
4) Download the Xposed sdk22 arm to your phone
5) Install the Xposed Installer 3.0 alpha4.apk
6) Boot into TWRP and install the Xposed sdk22 arm that you downloaded
7) "Clear dalvik/cache" and then "Reboot System"
8) ???
9) Profit
If you open up the Xposed Installer app and see that there is errors still, check the logs
If you run into any other critical problems (bootloops or system app crashes), you can go back into TWRP and flash the Xposed Uninstaller that you downloaded in step 3, if that doesn't fix it, then you need to restore your phone via the TWRP backup you made in step 1
Happy customizing
Thanks!
Just for a reference, there are new versions of files mentioned in OP.
Edit: Tried the tutorial with the latest versions:
xposed-v65-sdk22-arm-by-romracer-20150629.zip from here
XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk from here
...and it works! (XT1052 Retail.DE 5.1)

I added the latest versions to the OP Thanks
v68 does not seem to work. i get gapps crash constantly.
used uninstaller and tried flashing on top of v65 too. Haven't tried on clean firmware.
Edit: i did wipe cache and dalvik everytime, before and after flashing
sometimes the motox would be stuck at boot screen aka bootloop after I install xposed. wipe cache will make it work. Or try to uninstall the xposed with uninstaller. Just write here for a reference.
I edited my post. Also phone always booted, the crash was always after I unlocked the phone

Without modules installed? Are you sure you are running the right xpose for you Android version?
no, i flashed with modules installed but disabled from xposed app. should i remove them? dont want to lose the settings
Enviado desde mi XT1053 mediante Tapatalk
tried again but this time I uninstalled modules, then rebooted normally, reboot to recovery, flash uninstaller, wiped cache & dalvik, rebooted system to see if everything was OK, reboot to recovery again, flashed xposed framework v68, reboot system. SUCCESS.
Finally setup everything from scratch ugh!

I'm not clear on the instructions. I moved the 2 zip folders onto my downloads folder on my XT1060 but they do not appear in downloads. Do I unzip them? How do I install them? Is this done through the computer or the phone?
EDIT: Got it - all on the phone in twrp - had to google a different tutorial.
Im using S7 Edge exynos version
Im using cf auto root method to root my device.. Root has been installed successfully... But after two weeks i am losing root.. I've almost reflashed my rom 7 times.. I thought Something is wrong in my side.... But its not... Just to check whether i'm losing root because of other app ..
I haven't installed any app on device.. I enabled and disabled su.. Nothing happens.. I disabled and left the app. When i enter ed the app a pop up message opened asking like su binary needs to be updated... If i click continue... Binary updated failed....
There is no su binary installed and su can't installed..
I also purchased pro version to support development
Why is this happening ?
Will you ever work on this fix ?
If u install the Security Patch from MM 6.01?

So i went to su app to enable it.. When i opened the app message prompted to update su binaries.. I clicked continue...i lost root..

I'm on B29 ZadMix and tried to install Viper4Android v2505 ("ViPER4Android_FX_v2505_A4.x-A7.x.apk") and while the apk runs fine, it gives an error about installing the driver. Any suggestions? Is there any special version for the Axon 7?
I did try installing BusyBox first
go to*/vendor/etc/*directory on the device and*rename*audio_effects.confto*audio_effects.conf.bak
Open*ViPER4Android FX*app*on your phone
You’ll get a notification to install V4A driver. Select*YES.

Did not work for me.
I must say also that my r/w does not seem to work since I updated to B29.
I have tried adb reboot disemmcwp and that did not help.
Hey, go to
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=118862
Download ARISE Sound Systems 2.4.zip and install it with TWRP.
Drivers are already included. This shoul help.

What worked for me
I don't use B29 at the moment, but these steps fixed all my Viper4Android problems (V4a + Dolby Atmos):
0. Dirty-flash B29 to fully uninstall all previous versions of V4A mods.
1. Make sure you're properly rooted, preferably SuperSU (although Magisk works, too)
2. Install BusyBox (again, make sure you install it form within the app itself)
3. Download and install SELinuxModeChanger and switch status to Permissive.
4. i. Download the latest version of V4A from here. It is AROMA-based and by far the easiest method I've ever used to install the package.
ii. Download the Dolby Atmos driver for LeMax 2 from here. The ZIP for Axon 7, surprisingly didn't work for me.
5. Now reboot to recovery and flash the Viper4Arise ZIP first. Kindly choose the New User option from the initial AROMA screen to make sure you get the full details of what you choose to install. After flashing, reboot the device and check driver status from within the app. I should say 'Normal'. To confirm I play an audio in the background and check to make sure 'Processing' : Yes.
EDIT: Step 6 is only for when you're on a custom ROM which doesn't have Dolby by default.
6. The dax_lemax2_v2.2.zip ZIP is for installing the Dolby Atmos Add-On. The official one from V4A, again, didn't work for me. Reboot to recovery and flash that one, too.
Your phone should now have both V4A and Dolby Atmos.
The question is how are you rooted. If you use SuperSU then I would suggest to use this Viper4android. You can use it together with Dolby Atmos from B29 and you can run it while selinux is enforcing. I'm using this setup at B19 (Android 7.1.1) and it works like a charm!
If you're using Magisk you can download the Viper module within the Magisk Manager.
I followed this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/how-to/guide-zte-axon-7-cm13-los14-1-eliminate-t3548598 to install Viper4Arise on LineageOS, had it working, then installed the iOS emojii pack. After reboot from installing emojii pack, I lost root, SuperSU says 'Binary Occupied'. When I follow SuperSU's guide on how to fix it it still says 'Binary Occupied'. I'm not quite sure what to do now. I also have Magisk installed so that may be contributing to the problem. I am very new to all of this. Can anyone help?
As apart of the Viper4Arise guide I installed root add on and SELinux Switcher if that helps.
Reflash su via TWRP this will fix the issue

I should have been more specific. I did that multiple times to no avail. This is what I meant when I said "When I follow SuperSU's guide on how to fix it it still says 'Binary Occupied'." That's exactly what they said to do.
I know SELinuxhide does some sneaky stuff behind the scenes so maybe that's the problem?
When i faced this issue i installed su via playstore to no avail. Second attempt twrp/zip did the job, thats all i can tell. If that doesn't work for you, consider reinstalling your system from scratch w/o magisk and then follow magisk installation routine.

I received my OP6T this past Tuesday and I absolutely love the phone. It was super easy to get TWRP installed after unlocking (easy since mine was purchased outright from OP).
My only problem is that I play Pokémon Go with my son. And it detects Magisk no matter how I tried to hide it from the app.
Is it not possible to flash TWRP without Magisk? I'd like to eventually try different kernels, but I just don't understand how everything appears to require Magisk.
This is my first OP device as well as the first device I've had with the A/B slots.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated so I can unlock the phone to its full potential and still play a game I enjoy playing with my son.
Hi,
TWRP and magisk are not directly related, other than the need for twrp to flash magisk
In order to get rid of magisk you can just download the magisk Uninstaller (you can get that from the official magisk thread) - just be aware that of course any Magisk mods will be lost...
One caveat, though: this only works if you have an unmodified system partition (so you never acknowledged changes to system partition in twrp) - if you did you need root to be able to boot the system!
Cheers, Axel

So I'm assuming I accidentally modified my system. Using Magisk Uninstaller from the app made it so the phone only booted into recovery until I flashed Magisk. Zip again.
On another attempt after resetting up the phone it seems that the Uninstall from the app succeeded but my phone would not boot for a good 15 minutes. Just a black screen nothing else. But after it turned on Magisk was gone and I didn't lose anything.
The twrp file to remove Magisk failed every time saying to use the one from the Magisk dashboard.
Is there an easy-ish way to get a stock system partition? Or will I have to use the tool to return the phone to stock and start over?
Magisk Props Module <- Have you tried this Magisk module? I don't play Pokemon go but I was able download it and open it. (I don't know at what point it detects root).
It actually was even easier ? in the settings menu and click hide magisk and it renames itself to something random and works fine!
