It's crashed through several rom updates and after a wipe at some point. I removed the com.android.browser.apk and reinstalled it and it still crashes.
What else can I do to try and fix it?

Load a new rom on your card, wipe, and update and see if that fixes your problem.
Well, that's a last resort right now.
I'm sure the problem comes from me restoring the browser setting from the app Backup for Root Users.
If someone could tell me where the browser settings are stored, I could try deleting them and seeing if that helps.
Check out the lasts posts from the soulife rogers remix thread... there is a few people with that same issue... link is in my sig.
Hello, since yesterday, when I had to flash Google stock image to my Nexus 4, I can't get LoboWiki to work... when I try to load an article I get the message that you can see in the screenshot attached. Everything else works normal, so I think it's an app problem. I tried switching the search language in the app and even the phone language, tried clearing app's data, rebooting, uninstalling, rebooting and installing again but the problem persist... Anyone else is having or had the same problem in the past?
In case anyone is interested, I contacted the developer and he's having the same problem, he will fix it asap :good:

it's happening to me too, as i can see the problem is with the Google Services.apk but i dunno if its caused by the rom itself or not... maybe it will be fixed in next updates...
Still crashing after latest update (2013-05-10)...
Can someone please write about problem in Engle_Mars thread? i cant do this because xda have some stupid limitations asking me for posting more without reason....
Hello,
In the last few days, I have suddenly lost my notifications from applications such as Yahoo Mail and also ESPN Scorecenter. I have tried wiping the system cache but to no avail. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the previously mentioned apps but that has not worked.
Does anyone have any ideas before I go ahead and restore to factory to start all over again?
Let me know. Thanks for any help and advice.

Do you have a custom recovery? If you do try fixing permissions in it.
Just noticed the screen on my phone won't rotate, no matter what I do. Anyone else with same problem? . Is this a bug or software problem.

You have Rotation ON and, say, Google maps won't rotate?

How did you fix it? I'm also experiencing no rotation.
Edit: Cleared the cache, all seems fine now...
I'm also experiencing no rotation with some camera apps. It always records video as if I'm holding the phone sideways. I unticked all the xposed modules I have and wipe cached with twrp and the app's cache but the problem still persists.

The previous posts reminded me that Google maps had given me the option to stop the screen from rotating. I tried to find where to turn rotation back on but couldn't find it. So, I went i to app manager in my phone and cleared the cache and data for the maps app.
when that alone didn't work, I restarted my phone. Now rotation is working again. Good luck, hope this helped.

Maybe is illegal to record vertical videos in your country. Just a joke.
Some apps, like Horizon have that feature to record videos always horizontally no matter how you hold the phone.

Updated from 4.4 to 6.0.1, rooted, installed Xposed and a few modules, uninstalled and freezed some apps via titanium backup and got that problem, too.
Does anybody have a new idea how to solve that?

Have you read this thread?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/help/question-mm-users-uninstalling-facebook-t3363211
I read so many threads but none could help me solve the issue.
So I guess the only way is to re-flash the stock firmware and then use another App to delete these facebook apps.
Really annoying as I just finished setting up anything as I wanted it to be.

I think you only need the libgnustl_shared.so file, no need to flash ROM again.
Poorly only libgnustl_shared.so didn't work out for me.
Luckily reflashing the ROM did work out.
I've done some testing removing bloatware and noticed it's Titanium Backup's fault... If I use any other tool to remove bloatware I don't face this problem with the rotation... I had to reflash the custom rom I'm using several times to reach this conclusion...

I had the same problem, & for whatever reason that version of the file failed to work for me. I had success with this one, following the same steps. https://www.4shared.com/file/ivpHIjB...tl_shared.html
