Instructions for flashing modems:
Download the zip and extract it into your fastboot folder.
Rename zip NON-HLOS.bin
Boot into fastboot mode on your phone (power + volume up) and connect to your PC via usb cable.
Open a command prompt from within your fastboot folder (shift + right click, select open command prompt here).
Issue this command:

fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
Let the modem flash, wait until it says ok. The you can reboot your phone:

It's now safe to disconnect your usb cable.
Please note: this will only flash the modem, this isn't a replacement for flashing a full firmware package.

Noticed a typo on one of your headers, GUIDES, ENERAL INFO, Q&A, AND GENERAL INFO
the G seems to be missing in GENERAL INFO and its repeated twice

I don't see how it matters all that much because it isn't like the phone has changed physically. The image on the CM site is prettier though so I'll use that.

Thanks Karthik. I was considering doing this after getting the Redmi Note 2 after i had to part with my beloved Skyrocket. We have a similar post in S2 Skyrocket forums and it was the best thing ever.
Although i wish we could add all the ROM's available and not just the ones posted here. Jo-san has removed the links to his ROM's from XDA and also i could not see the xiaomi.eu rom listed here. I am presently using xiaomi.eu weekly rom and it works great.
Edit: This is the xiaomi.eu ROM i was talking about(link below). It's the stock MIUI translated into multi and gapps preinstalled. Also some chinese bloatware is removed.

Guess this thread should loose its status of being at the top... Whom to contact? New users of this phone should be greated by things that show them it's actually quite alive and kicking with loads of easy to advanced stuff to do and thereby making it exciting...
...so much small tweaks to do thanks to Xiaomi, MIUI, MediaTek being non-interested in true optimization of this SoC. xD (As if it is actually a good thing.... Heh)

I'm also a bit confused I'm considering buying a Mi Max, and according to the manufacturer, there are only 2 versions, 3GB/32GB Hexacore
4GB/128GB Octacore

After researching: Mi Max has 4 versions:
- 2GB 16GB & 3GB 32GB are using Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 MSM8956 Hexa-Core so they are "hydrogen"
- 3GB 64GB & 4GB 128GB are using Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 MSM8976 Octa-Core so they are "helium"
