HOW TO BUILD
Considering that I'm a student, I will not have many time for building. Everything is open source, so you can build it by yourself.
Building is not difficult at all, but the guides on XDA are almost everytime uncomplete or wrong. I made a step-by-step (from setting up your machine to the building process itslef) N00bproof Guide on How To Build any CM14.1 or CM14.1 Based. You can find it on XDA or on my Github Page

SCREENSHOTS
Thanks to @THEVAN3D for the Screenshots
Actually, there is a section just for them
Ok, so... I've installed the ROM on my phone.
Everything works and these are the "bugs" that I've noticed after short testing:
1. Wi-Fi works when you shut down your phone after first boot and turn it back on
2. Camera recording works fine, records properly but in app (Camera app) recording (preview) is 4:3 and pixelated. Final video looks great.
3. Nothing more so far... will be thoroughly testing it in a few days...
Downloading!
Unfortunately I can't get the wifi to work. I've tried clean installing twice and rebooted several times after first boot but still no wifi.
Hope for a fix in the near future as it seems to be a great rom.

Yes, the latest firmware from Sammobile. Unfortunately not, you have to put phone into Download Mode and flash it. Then you'll be completely stock. Flash TWRP, and from there ROM and SuperSU

Cool! Thanks for your help!
Ok, after testing it for a day... Camera on RR is broken too. "Can't connect to the camera" after taking a few shots, closing the app and opening it again.
Also, Wi-Fi sometimes won't work after a reboot so we need to turn off the phone, wait 15 sec and turn it on again...
Everything else is lightning fast.
We'll see what we can do...
yes,i see. same peoblems with camera.
I have to try it yet, but if it is buggy only on the camera app - and not the ROM itself - it is simple: just delete the standard camera app and install any third-party that works fine. Isn't it just the case?
I have just tested the ROM myself. The problem seems to be the Snap Camera and some versions of Google Camera. Others work fine
hey lucky good job working on this awesome build ... but i had the @pchatzop version that you posted on the optimized thread for more than 2 weeks now and it's working fine ... is this one any different ?? any changelog ??
also can i dirty flash it over pchatzop one ? or do i need to make a clean install ?

Well, actually I don't know. I didn't try it, as well as this build. My main device is a OnePlus 3, so I cannot test them so often. Anyway, looks like my version has some bugs. Don't know if they also are in pchatzop build, instead if you can please test and report (after a nandroid backup)

Don't recommend people not to use this ROM when obviously you messed up yourself.

Strange, you are the only one with black screen and only you with dirty flash... Maybe you have wrong firmware.. Same rom, same base but different firmware.. It's rude to say something like don't use this rom.
For example, official rr use 3.2.8 firmware and unofficial open beta 10..same base but different firmware.. Try clean flash..
Wasn't there already a lineageos thread with unofficial builds?

Use OpenGapps
OTA - UPGRADES
They are not supported you will need to manually flash updates
PREREQUISITES
TWRP 3.0.0 or higher. I always use @ashyx newest builds (TWRP builds by @ashyx)
You must be on a lollipop or newer bootloader this can be done by either flashing 5.0.2/6.0.1 stock rom or by flashing a zip in odin
Don't skip this step! If the incorrect bootloader is used your device WILL NOT BOOT!
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
First time flashing the rom on your device, or coming from another ROM?
Download the zip(s)
Install a compatible Recovery
Perform a nandroid backup of your current ROM (Optional)
Wipe data/factory reset
Flash AOSP
Install the Google Apps addon package (Optional)
Reboot

Great TY @Deadman waiting AOSP 7.1.2 for T800 Good Luck :good:
Thank you. I been waiting for SM-T805.
thanks deadman. i appreciate all the variations in roms your giving us for the T700. have a good day
Having trouble getting Viper to work with this and the latest LD build. I'll see if I can figure it out, but I thought I would post in case anyone else has already had a solution. If I find it first, I'll post in both threads.
I really hope you could make it for T705 sir
I really love the pureness and simplicity of AOSP
Thanks for keeping this tablet alive. Installation went well. Same SD card problem so I'm now a set up as portable storage. MTP host FCs whenever SD card browsing is attempted.
Battery life seems to be same as MM.
Is this better/more stable than your ASOP 7.1.1 ROM?

I haven't seen a 7.1 AOSP ROM for the T700. Do you have a link?
Maybe should have said 'based on' AOSP. I think it said that in the description.
New build in OP
I have updated the kernel source to be lollipop based which includes lots of misc fixes and improvements
I have pulled parts of the M kernel source in (GPU driver, netfilter intercepter, wifi drivers)
Updated the GPU driver to the M based one
Changed to the LineageOS based liblights, powerhal, consumerir
Removed hwtest
misc other changes
Build pulled do to some reboot issues
HD Video works fine (does not stutter)
FYI. This ROM installed and runs great on my SM-T700. I did have to install SuperSU, Open GAPPS and Titanium Backup separately (install one at a time and reboot to system after each install) instead of stacking them. But no big deal.
The main thing I want to say is the HD video plays just fine and does not stutter as stated in the intro list of issues. I've tried it on MX Player, Google Play Movies & TV, DirecTV and Showtime Anytime. I did have problems with the prior ROM versions playing any video on some of those Apps.
Thanks Deadman

Unfortunately, I seem to get a bootloop on dirty flash. Haven't got the time to try clean flash at the moment unfortunately. Not sure if it's a problem with me or the rom. Waited for about 10 minutes but still sitting on Google animation.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8.0 (Oreo), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Reporting Bugs :
DO NOT Report bugs if you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

Am wondering whether there will be long term support for this build? Or, will this act as an interim build until the official one comes out?
How is the battery drain in this version?

This gets support until we feel like supporting it..it is no way related to any external factor

Pushed new build few minutes ago. Grab it here.
Most of the bugs are now fixed. Good enough to be used as a daily driver. Enjoy!
Awesome!! I installed this a few days ago, and it's super-stable. I was actually planning to update to the Official LOS, but then I saw this

Absolutely!!
amazing!
Sound is (too?) loud
I have noticed that on both this and the Official LOS 17.1, sounds from the media, alarm and ring/notification streams play pretty loudly, louder that the stock firmware. And when I compared the /vendor/etc/audio_policy_volumes.xml and the /vendor/etc/default_volume_tables.xml files with those of the stock firmware, I did notice that for the three streams I mentioned, the values for the volumes were indeed higher than stock.
I have no expertise on the subject, so I am asking you: is this okay for the phone's speakers, or will they be under too much strain?
And, another implication is that there are times when I find even the lowest volume for my alarm too loud.
Anyway, I edited the files on my phone to use the values in the stock firmware (attached below). But I just thought I should report here.
PS: Out of curiosity, I tried to find /vendor/etc/audio_policy_volumes.xml and /vendor/etc/default_volume_tables.xml on the nokia_PL2 and nokia_sdm660-common device trees on the HyperTeam GitHub, but I couldn't find them. Where are they? Are they extracted by extract-files.sh?
I hope I'm not being a nuisance
Released new build here
Changelog is there as well. Have fun!

Turn off AudioFX
Issue on both LOS 17 and 18 with Tachiyomi and Clover/Kuroba (image viewing apps). Maybe has something to do with scaling/dpi.
Tachiyomi will not load the image scale correctly.
Clover loading of full quality doesn't work , the image disappears and breaks the swiping feature.

I am aware of the issue as I use Tachiyomi too. Can't spot what's wrong, so probably they will remain broken for a while. I will try to fix but no promises.

I was following the instructions at Lineage for a clean install. When instructed to install a recovery image, I assumed the boot.img provided with your package was that recovery image. After flashing it, the phone won't boot and both fastboot mode and recovery mode seem inaccessible. Any help?

That sounds weird, shouldn't happen unless you did something wrong. I suggest try this TWRP: https://github.com/HyperTeam/android_device_nokia_PL2/releases/download/20201016/twrp-3.3.1-PL2.img

Thanks. I installed the latest LineageOS 18.
But for the life of me, I can't get gapps to install.
Using twrp, I format/wipe, flash lineage.zip, then gapps.zip, then clear the dalvik cache. Then boot.
Am I missing something?

After flashing lineage.zip, rwboot back to bootloader, change slot to other one, reboot to recovery and install gapps.zip then. TWRP doesn't changes slot automatically like LineageOS recovery.

That did the trick. I've never dealt with a A/B scenario before, which has caused all of my problems.
I guess the current Gapps for Android 11 is not really ready yet. Sign in is a bit wonky with some apps.
can it update itself?
Great job done, I hope there will be support?
How the firmware update process works. Where can I read more?:good:
Or do you need to flash everything again as soon as a new version appears?

It works now. I don't know what was the problem but seems to be fixed somehow. I have been trying various ROMs and looks like this is the most feature rich and stable Android11 rom for vince. I keep coming back to this one after each trial of any ROM.
Any update coming??
wow man, after trying and testing ... wow, the device runs smoothly. spartan hug
Hello,
Thanks for the OS, it runs smoothly except for a bug I have daily now : the gesture buttons stop working and I have to reboot the phone to get it back. Does anyone encounter the same issue ?
I'll try to reflash everything to see if it comes back. It started to happen after almost one week of use.

I didn't flash any firmware. I really don't know why that's mentioned there. I think every vince device was on latest firmware during miui updates. Usually people put custom roms once the official updates are no longer available. So, that should mean those last officially updated devices are almost always on latest firmware before turing over to any custom rom. Probably that's why didn't need any firmware flashing. That's just my theory, I really don't know. Just wipe everything and flash the rom.

I tried flashing again, the bug came back. So I flashed the cherishos 2.9 and the bug disappeared. The counterpart is that the APNs disappeared (it's mentionned in the bug of the rom but it's fixable by retyping them by hand).

is anyone check "System update" from System menu. although already flashed to latest, but still show new update available. Not sure is the OTA function if coming from older version?
I'am litle lost here... i count 3 diferent roms from CherishOS.
This 2.2.5 version, 2.9 version and 2.8 they all based on android 11.
Any reason for so many versions? Read that 2.8 and 2.9 have some bugs for daily use what's most stable?
is the patch security date still from February 2020? If i install this 2.2.5 can i install over a new version? thanks !
witch gapps package are people using? i have instaled pico and nano and both failed... error 64 on twrp

2.2.5 is the most stable version, yet. Use OrangeFox as recovery instead of TWRP and flash NikGapps (Core is enough).
that's funny i had orange instaled but decided to flash twrp most recent instead... going back to orange!
problem with 2.2.5 is that security patch is quite old February 2020.
where can i get 2.2.5?? in this link i only see 2.9
