Well, after fixing the weird brick from a few days ago, today something happened way more annoying. Had the phone in my pocket, but when I checked it later it was off. Tried to boot it, but nothing happened. Thought that the battery might be dead (which whould be weird because it was around 80% when last checking) so tried charging it, still nothing happened. Tried switching the battery, still dead. Tried rebooting in safe mode/recovery mode/download mode, still dead. As far as I know I have tried everything. Anyone ever had similar problems, and did they fix it by any chance?
I think the EMMC is dead. I have the same problem before, I just ordered the used motherboard form Ebey, and switched the motherboard. Right now is working fine.

Was there any particular event that killed your EMMC? And would you recommend replacing mine if i only have three more months until I can get a new phone?
EMMC dead is the common issue for Note 4. I know many people have the problem and post in here. What model of your Note 4. My is N910T. I got my N910T motherboard from ebay, and the price is $65

How he is going to flash a firmware if the phone is dead!

Hi despite my limited rooting knowledge I thought I'd try a beta test for a Rom. I downloaded the kernel and bootloader I needed to flash and did these via Odin. I flashed the Rom and it booted fine, but now my screen will not work correctly. I have to press and inch above whatever it is that i'm trying to press, even with the s pen. When I realized this problem I wiped the phone using TWRP and flashed Cm again except the problem was still there once the phone booted. I have now wiped the phone and flashed stock 5.1.1 onto my Note 4 and the problem is still there. I'm really starting to panic now. Can someone help?
Downgrade to 5.0.1. If problem still persists your screen might actually be broken otherwise its a software problem.
The screen worked completely fine before I flashed the kernel so surely it's something to do with software? I'm scared i've broke my phone
Easily fixed. Give me a minute.

Good evening guys , well I have a Galaxy s4 ( GT- I9515L ) .He hung from nothing and when I restart it, came into infinite lopping , I tried to access the recovery order it, but when I try ..he hangs in the message recovery booting and sometimes it restarts again. I've tried several ways to resurrect it , how to install other rom's and even install TWRP recovery , but it remains the same thing not out of it and is caught on the home screen . It works only download mode. Wanted a help to my case because I'm researching for a week and not find answers .. only people in the same situation as me. Thank you very much in advance!!
Note: He was routed , but I root it late last year.
I have the exact problem as you. Also, these guys have the same issue:

3.connect ur device to odin
4. now select a recovery file and tick nandroid erase and wipe partition
5. after installation is complete remove the battery and cable
6. insert battery
7. boom u can enter recovery

Charge the battery using another phone and then enter download mode.
Then download a custom ROM on your PC and using the adb sideload function push the ROM to your device.

This may be a stupid question, but I recently reflashed my device to stock PD8 and I have this cloud icon next to the signal status. It never goes away. It is even haunting my dreams. Pls help

You have to Odin back to stock. You can't just wipe in factory recovery, it still leaves the eng kernel in place.
Well I was on official PG1 firmware , and followed the instructions on how to root I did it and nothing of my stuff got erased neither did I factory reset anything

So to do this the right way I have to
1 Odin back to stock
2 run root presses

I removed all traces of the icon in the imsservice.apk and it is still showing up. I'm going to dig into SystemUi.apk and see if it's in there. Will be busy until tomorrow catching Pokemon at a PG meet up, but I'll keep you guys updated.
Yeah that shouldn't be showing up if you're completely stock. IF you still have the eng-kernel then it'll be there no matter what you do unless you either edit the imsservice.apk file or odin back to stock factory rom.

Even editing the apk isn't working. I feel like it's deeper in the system. I removed every trace of stat_notify_volte* and stat_notify_rcs* and it is still there

There are threads throughout the forum about removing the rcs icon in the status bar. It shouldn't be too difficult to remove. I was able to do it but I was receiving an "imsservice error" every time I called certain people. Which lead me to believe it wasn't completely effective so I reverted completely back to stock (it was gone) then flashed the engkernel (which brought it back) and from there I simply considered it a small price to pay for root access. Wouldn't you agree?
It's there to remind you of root

I own a Note5 dual sim N9208 (India). Since 2 weeks its battery is kind of losing charge capacity. When battery is completely depleted and then charger is connected, it shows phone is 13% charged ( sometimes 5% , 8%). I have followed all kind of battery calibration methods. So i want to get my battery replaced under Samsung's warranty and my knox counter is tripped.
So my question is do samsung executives really check knox counter? Or they simply skip it?
You can share your experience if you have been in this situation.
ifyou tripped knox you will have deep sleep issues.
Be sure to check around for a patch.
No first hand experience but my hunch is that for battery charging issue they wouldn't. Just a hunch!
Sent from my SM-N9208 using Tapatalk
Yes they will the samsung service centers do check. On my galaxy mega it went back for faulty usb. At first they argued it was due to rooting. Lol however pointer out samsungs poor usb failure rates on that and prev models and was told on this occasion they wont charge. Howevwr they did check

samsung is using a new tool fan_rir (something like that) to flash firmwares. my headphones werent working so they replaced them, but they connected my phone and flashed firmware. when i asked them about this step they replied phone has to be connected to this software for using warranty benefits. i think that software will detect knox status.
anybody having ideas??
Any working solution for tab s5e wifi version to bypass google verification
+1. Looking for solution of this problem as well.
No luck flashing combo files. Samsung blocks any flashing with new security update. I thought i spent $200 for a brick. Found a guy on eBay that removed it for $10. It's the guy with 7500 positive feedback in his photo. Wow I love this thing!

I haven't tried this because Samsung removed my lock but I came across it by searching "odin FRP patch". It says it is 2020 and its free to try. https://www.imyfone.com/unlock-android/samsung-frp-reset-file-with-odin/
Can't hurt to try.

I been using my Tab Are ever since he unlocked the Google FRP. It was cheap and fast! All he's the only guy that doesn't use the same BS Odin method as we would do. Odin doesn't work! He does it via a server or something. Do NOT go with anyone else. Look at his feedback!

Don't know if this will work for the T720 but someone posted a solution for the SM-T510. They flashed the Chinese version of the stock firmware. That version doesn't support Google accounts, so you can then boot it and turn on dev mode and enable OEM. You can then flash back to your locations ROM without the FRP lock.
