Very nice, will wait for stable / nightly version! Hope I'll be able to unlock my bootloader till then
Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk
Finnaly! I can't wait, are you keeping us updated on the progress?
I don't understand what this thread is about. but i'm excited.
Why is there a thread in development without any roms? Or is it just me??
Because its status is : testing
Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
is anyone going to explain what this post means? nd why it's not in the dev section?
Honestly, I can understand the confusion. It seems kind of silly to create a thread for a rom that you haven't made available at all...

I'm all for development, but it's just my opinion that all. It's just one more thread cluttering the board. Even if it was alpha and a download was available that would be ok, but nothing at all? I personally don't see the point.
Not trying to be an ass, honestly lol.

It´s a joke... Go find the threads started by the op... lol.
We do not allow placeholder threads on XDA, do not create such threads unless you actually have the work uploaded or in the process of being uploaded. If links are ready to be posted then PM me to re-open this thread but untill then..

I haven't seen it and I'm worried I may flash the wrong thing!
I haven't seen one for the Verizon version yet either. Just make sure to read carefully before flashing.

Anytime you want to get cracking on that locked bootloader. I am sure all of the guys that got that half root in place would appreciate it.
It's only a matter of time.

But my point is; how else do you explain your lol after your half root statement? Those of use that have no skill have to assume after your insult of them, that you have the skills to break that locked boot loader. Otherwise you are just an insulting dumb ass that should just remain quite.
Insult? Dude this is a community. What I said was not insulting. I been part of xda for years. Maybe you need to look up on how to insult. Understand the meaning. Your point has no meaning cause I was deffinatly not insulting them. You need to understand how this community works instead of trying to assume and bash others.

My statement went along the lines of half a root meaning not full root and you're limited on things we can do. I'm sure there's others that will wait for full root as I will. Why I said it's a matter of time.

Why is this thread still open why make a thread just to post a link to the real root thread smh

to me it was your use of lol after your comment, if your intent was to state it is not a full boot loader root, why not say it that way? Again, nothing against you, I just took the lol as slap verses a note of caution that is not full root.
That is what assuming gets. Should have asked. Lol - lol means laughing or laughing out loud.

T-Mobile Galaxy S8 Plus Root | Thread By: Devicerepair
A week ago they said they would be releasing the kernel and firmware for this device within the next few days. Beyond that they have gone silent. Nothing has been posted on Twitter or Facebook from either essential or Andy. Does anyone have an idea of where these would be posted once they are made available? They said they would release them and then in another question they were considering a development tab on their website but it didn't seem like they were doing that at the same time.

They have released the kernel, although the page is down at the moment. We have a thread going here, https://forum.xda-developers.com/essential-phone/how-to/kernel-source-released-t3686367. A compiled kernel is posted on page 3.
