Anyone in the UK got there OTA or Kies Lollipop update yet?
If you have flashed the German DBT & the CSC has changed will it change back to the UK CSC if flashed later with a UK Firmware?
If you have flashed how is it running?

No update for me yet, however I think that Samsung will provide the network provider with the build then the network provider will add there bloatware and so on. I'm not 100% sure on this though.
Based on the CSC changing to a German CSC when I flashed the German DBT I'd have a guess and say flashing a UK ROM via Odin it would again change the CSC. Just a guess..
I have installed the German DBT and so far so good..

Hi mark, just wondering but I have a n910f UK version and I flashed the German lollipop build through Odin yesterday, although after giving it some time to boot it upgraded all of the pre-installed apps, the phone booted but all that showed up was a black screen and an empty notification bar, and kept rebooting over and over. anyone know what the problem could be?

Hi xjw1,
Not really knowledgeable enough to help much here. You don't say what you flashed the rom over. I flashed over bobcat rom and had already updated the bootloader too. I also did a full wipe in recovery before using odin. If you ask here you should get a response from an expert. Good luck. http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/general/910f-official-lolipop-germany-dbt-t3029508

I flashed the official stock Lollipop firmware straight from SamMobile, I forget what the baseband was as SamMobile is down at the moment, but thank you for your reply, I'm going to check out the link you provided now.

Yup you use the German update you get the German CSC, flash to a UK one you'll get a UK CSC. But there is almost no difference. You'd be better off sticking to this German one. Whenever an update is pushed you will get it first. If you flash a UK ROM you'll be back in the same situation you're in now waiting for an upgrade. Sometimes the UK providers are weeks/months behind the German updates.
If you want any new OTA updates as soon as Europe gets them stick with this ROM. That is unless you want the UK bloatware. I'm quite surprised the only German stuff is deletable. I bet the EE/Vodafone stuff won't be.
Edit: Actually I take that back, I just checked my CSC and my phone is showing as Polish OXA strangely enough. Well I'm pretty sure I'll still get the OTAs first. What I said should still count for German/Polish updates as they get them first so ..........(fingers crossed).
Flashed German update still retained my UK CSC
Like Mcshave said am better off with German update than EE bloatwares.

But what does it mean if you are with German csc? Idk what csc means but does it add something that you use a German rom in another country? Still have not flashed it yet

Well I've got the German Rom on now, so far all seems well. I haven't done a reset just a dirty flash.
So all you guys who have done the same to your UK N4, will you flash the BTU when it's released or stay on the German Rom?
Historically, I've always rooted immediately and install custom ROMs etc, but I've decided to keep my Edge as nature intended at least for the foreseeable future.
I'm on a 100% stock unrooted Edge on EE in the UK. EE (and UK in general it seems) always seem to be right at the back of the queue with regards to firmware updates, which has prompted me into looking into possibly updating via Odin.
I noticed today that there was a brand new release for UK (BTU) with an even newer build date (29/08/16) and changelist (9113173) compared to most of the other recent builds.
So, I was wondering:
1. Will installing this BTU firmware over my EE (EVR) firmware possibly cause problems?
2. If I am then on BTU csc, will the OTA function then cease to work altogether, or will I then only have updates for BTU?
3. Has anyone on a stock EE edge done this? Be very interested to hear your findings.
Thanks
So I flashed btu nougat on my s7 edge but flashed HOME_CSC instead of CSC. Will I still get OTA updates? Please help me I'm in deep confusion..
EDIT : I did some research and most say that I will and some say that I won't. If it's the latter how can I reflash the btu firmware to get OTA updates? They told me something about multi CSCs and things like that. Would you please help me?

Hello, I'm trying to change my SM-G655F from Germany to Australia firmware for the sole purpose of getting Samsung pay to work. I've done this before, switched from XSA to DBT in order to get access to Oreo early. I want to go back, now that Oreo is available worldwide.
However flashing the firmware through Odin, the process passes but I don't think it really "passes" anything, the flashing process is instant, where it should take a minute. And it doesn't change the CSC at all. What's going on?
Both firmware versions have the same April security patch. I've tried other firmwares as well to test it out and I'm getting the same issue.

if you flash again firmware why not the samsung pay wont work ?
Or i am missing something here and i dont get it .
Since October 2018 I stopped receiving updates via OTA. I'm thinking about updating the phone with Odin but I don't want to trip Knox so I don't really know what version of the Rom to install.
My S8 is a SM-G950F unlocked with CSC - DBT, that's all I know. And when I check for updates it says: Current version: G950FXUU4CRJ5/G950FOXM4CRJ3/G950FXXU4CRI9.
What rom do I need to flash?

Have you tried manual update in settings?
You could also try Samsung's smart switch to update to latest version.
If you want to download firmware and use Odin then use either sammobile.com or updato.com. or samfirm.
Using Odin to flash official stock rom will not trip your Knox.
I normally use updato for my firmware or samfirm
https://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model
Latest version I think for Germany DBT is G950FXXU4DSCB ( March ) android version 9 (pie).
I've tried manual update and Smart Switch too and no success. It says I'm on the latest update. I guess I'll try Odin and flash Pie.
I am also facing the same issue. Mine is SM-G950FD. I bought it online, not from official channels. How about you? I have a small suspicion if Samsung is blacklisting phones purchased unofficially. I hope I am wrong.
Well I bought mine from Amazon Germany from a verified seller and for a few months I received updates, but since October 2018 no more. Why would they blacklist my phone?
Sorry. I didn't mean to imply that they are blacklisting. I was just being a bit paranoid thinking may be Samsung blacklisted my phone since I bought it unofficially.
I have a new theory. Looks like many people who bought phones from one country (UAE in particular) had their phone sensors bricked after an OTA update while they were in a different country. That may explain why Samsung is not updating my phone (mine is from UAE).
