UPDATE: Full Nougat update via ODIN
After waiting for a root, I have finally given up and updated my S7 Active to Nougat via ODIN. I have a network unlocked S7 active, the update when smoothly and fixed the lags and didn't change network status. The internal storage was fully wiped.
Here is the thread for the ODIN package:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-active/how-to/g891a-android-n-offical-odin-package-t3581042
.
The device remains with a unlocked bootloader? So that's why I can't use android pay or Samsung pay
I've successfully updated my device from PK2 to PL1
so if you go from pi2 to pl4 after your phone was rooted on pl1 for me at least it still detects my phone as a rooted phone for some reason and I can't use either samsung pay or android pay. How do I become available to be able to use samsung pay and android pay on the pl4 rom?
Alright, so I have an S7 Active on 6.0.1, unrooted. How would I go about installing the Nougat update? Thanks!

Not bootloader. Network lock/unlock. The whole problem with these ATT devices are the lack of support to unlock bootloaders, thus we can't install custom recovery, and lack of development.
The zip file (G891AUCS2APL1 -> G891AUCU2BPL4) had some issue that sideload can not read it. Does anyone has the same?

I also loaded 2 version, and confirmed that it had the same size, but ABD Sideload can not read both of them.
That's cause with the files in this thread your supposed to use the stock recovery to flash them via the option that says flash update from sd card.
As far as samsung pay goes you actually can use it you just have to manually download the 2.5.11 samsung pay apk file and sideload it.
However android pay doesn't work at all cause for some reason it still thinks the phone is either rooted, has an unlocked bootloader, or running a custom rom.

So would you just place the zip file in the root directory of the SD Card then use that "flash from SD Card" option from the same screen where you do a "wipe cache partition"?
Yes
If I updated to pl4 while I was on stock 6.0.1 from stock recovery, will I lose unlock status of my phone?

Sweet... took about an hour and a half to load and then restore my apps, etc from 6.0.1 but it's up and running as smooth as can be, no glitches, no errors, no problems! Thank you "dogmatism" for the files and procedural information and "raze5115" for answering my questions! My Samsung Galaxy 7 Active is Nougatized!
*Edit - 01/27/17 - Re-installed Samsung Pay last night and reconfigured my credit card - works fine with 7.0 just as "raze5115" stated!

see OP , you will not loose network unlock status. Basically it is not touched.
Load Nugat?
Should I do this via stock recovery off the SD card or through odin in download mode?

I'm not allowed to upgrade externally for some reason...
PL1 -> PL4 worked for me. I did via recovery and load from SD card. Clear cache. Ended up having to set the phone up as new but I was going to do a factory reset if it worked regardless. So far Nougat has been just fine; haven't had a chance to stress test it tho.
Thanks a ton for posting these!

Darktitor for the Korean mirror!
Note:
Korea is a good start, but I need more mirrors to make this truly multi-region. If you have your country's firmware uploaded to a mirror for the SM-P900 then post the link and I will add it to the OP. I would like this thread to be an alternative to having to use Sam Mobile or other slower sites and people on XDA could come here to get their firmware updates! I need your help though because I can't host every country on my AFH account so any mirrors provided will be added to the OP and you will be thanked for your help!
Is this the new Lollipop Version?
I believe it's just the fullnstock version in case anyone wants to go back to stock or receive an update or softbricks his/hers note pro Extremely handy to have around, of course I could be mistaken.
You can download all full versions on sammobile.com or on samdownloads.de or on samsung-updates.com.
It is full stock NK1 for people who softbrick or need to Odin back like I did last night. If Lollipop is released I will add it to this thread as well. Even though Sammobile and Samsung updates has these files the free downloads are incredibly slow and I have an uploader account at Android File host so I figured why not use it for a faster mirror? But if you want to download from the other sites I will not deter you.
The Problem is, that this ROM is only for one Country. If you would like to give the People faster download an so on you must upload ALL ROMs.

I posted the one for my country because I got it directly from Kies when it was updating my device. I don't have the hosting space to upload every country and it would take me weeks to download them from Sam Mobile due to their bandwidth limits and my upload speed. However, there are options:
1.) Upload your country's firmware to a file hosting site and share the link with me and I'll post it here with the country code giving you, or anyone else who provides a link, full credit in the OP.
or
2.) Create your own thread and host every country's firmware then I'll happily lend you my link and close this thread.
With more help I can make this post better, but to complain and offer no feasible solution is useless to everyone in the community.

Awesome
I have been trying to root for the past several days and kies takes way too long to get back to stock rom.
not sure if I got a bad download, but i got a bootloop with this firmware. The sammobile website has XAP at the end...not HOME.
Not sure, but there was no recovery img installed, and I could not boot into recovery...only download mode. So, since I was planning to root, I flashed twrp in ODIN...I can boot into twrp recovery...but not the rom.
Now when I boot into download my knox warranty void counter is 1.
redownloading and flashing in ODIN again. Hope I can get it to boot. If not, I have a brick....all because of samsungs crappy lollipop OTA that borked everything. This was my work tablet too. If I have to replace, I will be going to surface pro and will never buy another sammy product again.
Venting.
EDIT: I got it too boot! I redownloaded the files, flashed in odin...but it still wouldnt boot. What worked was, I manually booted into recovery (stock recovery by holding power and volume up). Then I went to wipe data/factory reset....delete all user data. then reboot...and it booted right up! Whew.
Now time to root, do the triangle away knox trip counter reset...and flash cm12.1

I may have spoken too soon. Lol
There is an app on the play store called triangle away...but note pro is not on list of compatible devices. To my understanding it works like this.
Knox security trip : 1
You can reset to 0.
Knox security trip : 0x1
You cannot reset at all.
Either way I could care less because I plan on staying rooted and running aosp/cm roms or another custom rom if I ever go back to touchwiz. And my warranty is already expired anyway so...oh well. A voided warranty isn't really a big deal to me. If I brick this device oh well... I'll buy a nexus tablet.

It just a security app added in Korean version. If you don't want, you can remove it in application manager.
However, US has released OH2 version, why using OG6 of Korean.

Theres something wrong with my tablet. Whenever I try to flash the stock ROMs in Odin it fails and soft bricks every time. This past week I've been trying all the different stock ROMs that work from the factory 4.4.2 to the various 5.02 ones to see which one works and they've all failed except the Korean one.
I always had to flash the cm rom in between soft bricks and another rom just to be able to boot up my nandroid backuo. The whole situation is weird lol. All I want is lollipop and my keyboard working with xposed.
Hello everyone! I am new and a noob here. I have upgraded to a 5.1.1 Lollipop firmware. My phone was still carrier locked so I started looking up threads on the internet on how to unlock it for free, and came across a kingroot then region unlock solution. I used kingroot then downloaded supersu and installed that. After it finished installing, it said a reboot was necessary so I rebooted. Upon rebooting it said custom in the bootlogo then popped up with a big triangle that said Security Error: This phone has been flashed with unauthorized software & is locked. Call your mobile operator for additional support.
After much tinkering with installing Odin and downloading firmwares, I am still in the same boat. I believe this may be because I (stupidly) enabled reactivation lock because it sounded helpful in case my phone was stolen. This is now locking the firmware down and every time I try to install a stock firmware (4.4.4 or 5.0.2 as these are the only ones available on Sammobile for the SM-G530H) it says r/l enabled cannot install kernel without r/l or something to that effect. That is why I think the reactivation lock is messing me up. It also doesn't help that I upgraded to 5.1.1, as I believe that makes it harder to install a stock firmware, especially an older one.
Thanks for reading and if anyone knows anything that can help, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you.
bumpity bump bump..
anybody?
this is what happens when you try to replace king user/king root with supersu. same thing happened to me, totally bricked. And I didn't backup first
Never found a way to restore it, so I sent it to samsung and got another one, backed it up, and did king root, and manually switched to supersu.

how did you send it to them and they fix it? i figure they wouldn't help because it was a user error in which you tried to flash which voids warranty or whatever /:
I fixed these phone all day for the same exact problem. Call me 347-210-8466 and I will tell you where to ship the phone and have it repair and shipped back to you in 24hr. For only $45.00 return ship is free.
No need to pay to get phone fixed. Follow this post. Somewhere along the flash, it will display message that kies is not compatible with phone, click ok and it will finish flashing. I just did this yesterday on my son's phone.

I'm thinking your issue is with the kernel not recognizing the firmware. You need to flash the original kernel for the G530AZ.
You may be able to use the file I have linked for the G530A in this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/grand-prime/general/att-samsung-galaxy-prime-sm-g530a-links-t3283066

The procedure I posted above will flash your phone back to pure stock, like it would be out of the box. Only thing would be, that it flashes the most current update. When I got the phone, it was already on 5.1.1 and this is what Kies downloaded and flashed.

Working root method, follow exactly, do not skip a step:

I believe the problem is that people are flashing firmwares for the incorrect model. If I am understanding correctly, this is a thread for the Cricket Wireless version of the Grand Prime, model SM-G530AZ. If you are flashing firmwares for the 530H, you are bound to have problems.
Here is a link for both the KitKat and Lollipop stock firmwares for the G530AZ. Hope it helps.

In the past it seemed like the security updates were only like 160- 180mb, this one is pretty big for just a security, WiFi, update...seems odd but you never know. Anyone able to just upload the update?
Beat me to it. Anyway, it does list Wifi and stability fixes. Hoping it will fix the random reboots. Downloading now.

Random reboots? Sounds like a hardware issue.. I had the same thing. Few weeks later phone totally bricked.

Nope, phone has been solid except for these partial reboots for the last two months. It started right after the first MM update (PC1). Hasn't gotten worse or better. Hoping this is the "stability improvement" that is getting fixed.

I've also had random reboots ever since Marshmallow/PC1. I ended up trying to isolate the problem by starting from factory reset and installing apps in small groups to determine where there was an incompatibility. So far, I've found that the Amazon appstore is definitely one source of instability. The other one for me seems to be the app AnyMote. I'm hoping that PE1 somehow fixes these...
Able to root with PE1? Is current versions of twrp working with PE1?
Interesting to see what this does to the development of the note5 ports currently being worked on..

Yep, root is good with PE1. Able to odin latest TWRP and install chainfire su 2.74 to achieve root with no problem. I even odin back down to PD1 without a single problem.
What are the potential security risk by not taking these updates? Since having root wont allow you to do the update and having to flash stock software to take the update is a bit of a pain.
How?

whats the best way to get PE1? OTA? So to achieve this I would have to odin back to PD1 stock and wait until I get the update correct?

Yep, that's exactly what I did.
I am on PE1 what is the best way to root and tether this? Thx
Running PE1 the battery life seems better..
The lock screen toggling via power button works consistently unlike PD1...
So far it seems good...

Went to flash TWRP through ODIN and got a message- custom recovery blocked by A/L. Any solution please?
Mine will no longer check for up-dates.. manually or Auto...
Last checked was 4/30/16
When I tap Download Updates manually, nothing happens.. Even Long press.
I am on PD1
Any suggestions???
Battery pull and a few re-starts still wont let me check for updates.
thanks to all who reply

I believe this means you had the Reactivation Lock setting enabled before your odin. Can you get to settings and see if it's turned on? Im not sure where it is though, maybe security.

Finally [after about 2 years], i unrooted off of BOB7 to take updates to marshmallow, and of course, i get something that's been out for only hours i think, lol.
So, would you mind me asking, are those the only steps?* Odin latest TWRP then install (thru play store? ) su 2.74?
I'm assuming I'd need to stay stock until a PE1 rom is made. How would i go to PD firmware and stay rooted after* if wanting to flash some custom roms?
Any help/advice appreciated.

I'm on stock PD1 with TWRP 3.0.2.0 rooted with SuperSU 2.74 xposed-alt-v83-sdk23. Currently my Android Pay is working...like used it and made a purchase and everything, twice! Anyone know if it still works after PE1 update?

Hey guys, a long time ago i unlocked bootloader of my ALE-21 5.0.1, rooted it, and installed twrp. Is there any way i can update to android 6 now? My mom has the exact same with me and she got the OTA. Thanks in advance =)
What's your full build number: ALE-L21CxxxBxxx - i.e what are the x's in bold? And from which region / country?

Extract the files...
Then put the update.app file in folder named dload and copy that to your local storage..
After that, power off your device and then hold vol+, vol-and power key for atleast 10 seconds..
Then, the phone should start in installation mode..
Note: Check the update.app file size.. If its gratee than 2GB them the above process should work. If its less than you can do it by OTA...

amangeek, being a rooted phone, I don't think that is a wise choice. Unroot first, & then perhaps yes.
----------------------
Anyway RautMike, if you have done as above & everything is fine - well, great.
If you haven't attempted yet, do as advised in these threads instead - similar situations, so apply the same principle:
How to upgrade Huawei P8 lite [rooted+twrp]
[P8Lite] Twrp + official update
I couldn't find the full version of C432B188 firmware to download, which is required to extract the recovery file(s) needed. So, if you cannot either, you can extract the necessary file(s) from B170 (one firmware before) - the full stock rom for B170 can be downloaded from here directly via Huawei's servers.

Did you not read the threads I posted? Just follow them - no TWRP needs to be used in those methods.
Doing it that way you'll lose root, so after updating to Marshmallow you will need to re-root by reinstalling TWRP (for Marshmallow) & SuperSu: TUTORIAL - Huawei P8 Lite Android 6.0 Marshmallow B574 Root

Yes, you're right - I forgot about that!
You can get it from here perhaps: Install TWRP Recovery, Backup Full System, Android Rooting and Recovery Back to Stock (works on both Android 5/6 + L21/L23 models)
If that doesn't work, a 'forced' update does apparently (could be risky though, so make a full nandroid backup with TWRP before attempting): [INTERESTING] Updating system while rooted
Also, according to the op, "When you install update by this method, you lose TWRP, root access and all what you have flashed by TWRP."
Alright, thanks, before i flash the stock recovery, how should i make an backup? I already have one of system that i made with twrp, is that enough?
Oh, anyways, all good Thank you very much, i just flashed the stock recovery with no problems, so happy lol, thanks again!

Thanks a lot, I've been running the DBT / German version on my US T810 for a while now since it gets updates first and just got Nougat OTA. Recommend all users use the manual kies update here and get 7.0 right away: smoother, better multi tasking / split screen and adds reading mode/blue light filter. Also has April 1 security update. Will post on battery life later once it settles in but Samsung really delivered on this one. A major reason for tab s3 just went away (at least for a few months).
Thank you @Extreemator, I flash it with Odin and is working incredibly.
It is fast, stable and has a very nice UI, comes with Grace UX installed as the main interface, so the order of some options is different. The floating windows have two options, the first is the traditional Samsung split windows and the second is the native implementation of Nougat.
Until this moment it has working great, without lag, will have to see how the battery performs on the next days. The fingerprint reader is not fast and effective as it should be, but it does its job.
Just a reminder, for those who come from an NOT samsung rom (aka RR or LOS), it is necessary to clean caches after flashing the rom, otherwise you will have constantly crashes. You can access to the Samsung recovery by using this key combination: Power + volume up + home
Edit:
I have an USA región tab, but German work very well. When SC arrive I update it.
Managed to get root
could you guys check if the firmware is still 32 bit?

I flashed SuperSU from this thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/root-s6-nougat-supersu-t3570740
Initially it didn't work (or maybe I did something wrongly). So I flashed SuperSU from this thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/v2-64-2-66-supersu-mode-t3286120
It ended in a bootloop, but I flashed the first SuperSU again and it worked.
Looks like the T710 is getting updated too. https://plus.google.com/+DavidIwantschak/posts/ZkAMV45EpqH
T715 updated too. Rom is available on sammobile firmware section for download.
Waiting for T719 now

HC, flashing zips not intended for your device just because it says nougat in the title?!
I'm not surprised it didn't work considering you also flashed the kernel for that device.
Lucky for you supersu made a backup of your stock boot.img and restored it the second time you flashed the correct zip.
Next time I suggest you get it from source not from some third party thread.

From what I understood, that zip works in both S6 and Note 5, so it didn't seem a device specific kernel. However, i already knew the risks and how to recover my device in case of brick.
Well, I´ve dirty flashed with Odin, afterwards rooted with latest TWRP and then finally flashed Magisk. Everything seems to be fine til now.
