hi!
does the dk2 work without the sync box? i mean with the hdmi and usb cables plugged directly from the headset into the pc and the camera cable also?
Thanks!
If you mean the camera sync cable the yes but then the camera doesn't "sync" so although it will be powered the camera won't work.

Should any USB sync cable work with the Kaiser? I just bought a Belkin USB to mini USB retractable sync cable and it charges the unit but wont sync it. Is the USB cable faulty or this by design?

Maybe settings on device or PC are not right?
These cables are just mini USB and that itself has no effect on the syncing process. (I use any mini USB cable I can find whenever and wherever I am and it always works for me)
Same here I use whatever lead I can find, usually the PSP one.
Thanks for the quick answer guys. I suspect my Belkin Cable is a dud. Just swapped it with my PS3 cable and it works fine, as does the original HTC one. So will return the Belkin and get another. Good to know I can use any USB cable form now on. So Thnx for clearing this up for me..
I got the HTC cradle today and I was a bit disappointed to see that you need to have the cradle connected to a PC to have it charge and sync. You cannot connect the charger and the sync cable at the same time... is there a way to do it? I just want to be able to put the Pro in the charger in the evening and if my pc is on, sync at the same time
So what's the problem with that? Just connect the charger to your computer and it will charge, and it will sync if your computer is enabled...

It will not charge if my computer is turned off...
Use one of your onboard usb port which are always on (even when the pc is off). And if don't have one, you should get a new motherboard which supports that feature
USB hub with external power supply?
You could try the HTC Multifunction Audio Cable YC A200 or HTC Multifunction Audio Cable YC A300.
I ordered this same one instead of Kidigi model found on Brando. Figured I would just unplug sync cable and plug in AC adaptor that I keep on night stand?
Guys if you have a desktop PC chances are the usb ports are powered even when the pc is off. You can also check for this setting in the motherboard BIOS.

this is how i charge mine and sync with a desktop in my room. Laptop USB ports aren't powered on when the machine is off, though.
I have two laptops... The USB ports stay on when the laptops are in standby mode. If the phone doesn't charge, plug it in before closing the laptop lid (standby).
Hi all,
Has anyone hooked up a USB mic to the USB port of a Note via a USB OTG cable?
I would be really interested in using a decent USB mic with Audio Evolution that just got released last week.
I'm not sure if you'd need drivers for it, or it would just register as a mic in the same way a mouse or keyboard works OK.
I tried googling but couldn't find anything, except a video in which someone hooked up a USB mic preamp, but once you start doing that you lose some of the portability of just having the Note plus a USB mic.
I've seen the iRigMicCast, but I think a USB mic might have the potential for better audio quality, and also more options if any USB mic worked.
thanks,
Rich
mouse, keyboard, pen drives and a few portable disks on fat32. that's it i guess.
Yes, you can. You need to compile kernel with your usb mic drivers and flash it to your device.
I tried to connect a couple of usb audio devices to the note (otg cable) - No luck...
Hopefully ICS will fix this.

Hi,
I've brought a endoscope from ebay which just plugs into the micro-usb port on the phone. For some reason the LED lights come on, on the camera but the camera itself isn't found by any usb webcam apps. I tried with my girlfriends moto G and still nothing. Thinking maybe the camera is faulty I used the supplied micro-usb to USB adapter and plugged it into my windows 10 laptop and without installing drivers and using the stock windows 10 webcam app it worked.
I then tried it on my old galaxy S4 running lollipop (running a custom rom haven't bothered updating it) and the camera works fine with the same app I tried using on my note 4. So I'm assuming there's some issue with marshmallow? Weird thing is if I plug in a usb drive or even my wireless mouse it recognizes both of them and I have no issues it's just the external camera. Anyone got any suggestions on what to do?
different usb devices require different drivers.
and with android if the driver isn't baked into the rom, the device can't be used.
Hi,
Is there anyway to use Sidesync or other Software to connect my Phone with my Pc to control?
The Display is broken, no way to do anything. There is no Display Lock, the Phone itselfs works..i can use web.whatsapp and i can hear the Sounds from incoming messages and calls.
The Phone is rooted but usb debugging is disabled.
Please help.
Regards,
Ben
A USB otg cable and a computer mouse and and an hdmi connection is generally the answer I hear for this problem maybe some sort of y usb otg cable and a USB to hdmi adapter that is probably your best bet and then connect the USB to hdmi to a TV or maybe a pc
oh and you'll need a hdmi cable
sent from my nexus 4 I also own a voyager tablet and an I-phone 4s
