Hii I have a problem. I have to run GTA SANANDREAS game on my SAMSUNG J5 2015 model. The problem is I have 8 GB internal of which only 4 GB is available for storage of the obb data. The obb file of that game is 4 GB. I have rooted my device and have 30GB of ext2 partition on my 64GB sdcard. I have even linked it using LINK2SD. For linking the obb data using LINK2SD it must first be in the internal. But I cannot do that. Is there any way in which I can link the game file and game data outside the obb folder? The directoryBind app is not working in my phone.

Yes I have rooted it. My link2sd plus is working fine with other apps. Hey I just now saw that when I linked my obb data file of a game to my ext2 partition, my original obb file is still in internal while a new obb file of same name has been created in my ext2 partition. I am very confused. If linking doesn't free up my internal memory then what does it does?

I recently came across this bug. I noticed it when I tried to play injustice 2.
I don't exactly know when this problem originated but for about 2 weeks I am using different updates (Latest changed version) of ViperOS by dineshthangavel47.
Once I restart the phone the obb folder turns into a file with no extension and size is 0kb. It happens after about 10 minutes.
Then I have to restart the phone again to be able to do anything.
First I thought it might be happening because of the format of data partition changed to f2fs from ext4. So I formatted everything back to ext4. I clean flashed the latest version of rom too..
I use magisk zip for rooting.
Has anyone else faced this bug?
Any kind of help is appreciated.

You mean first copy the "obb data" which you already have to your phone.
Then Download a little bit of that data from playstore so that it will create a "Android>Obb>gamefolder" folder path on its own.
Then delete that small data you downloaded earlier and move the obb gamefolder which you already have to that location.
If that is what you are saying then I tried this already but didn't work for me
Now I fast booted the stock miui and everything is working fine...
But I will try the new oreo soon as TeamMex give atleast a beta on which we can install gapps but till then I am tired of trying all these new roms.

No i was talking about obb file not folder.. mine new obb file was have diff num bt sm name then I changed old data file name to new 1 nd moved it to obb folder
Doesn't matter you have root or not
but For those who don't have rooted devices use this method until we get a fix .
you have to do this every time you boot.
my obb folder keeps popping up as a file and after rebooting back to normal!!
