Yeah I got mine yesterday but wasn't sure if was cause I manually checked or coincidence. I felt like it was starting to get late in the month.

I normally don't wait for it to show up and download it from Google when it is released and use adb sideload to load it.

I manually checked. I was surprised but I thought it was overdue. It had already downloaded but I guess it would have eventually told me about it.

It auto download on mine then adviced me to install. I first manually check for update, but stated download via wifi only until certain date.

The security risk that was reported to affect 99% of devices has already been patched in the Google Edition Rom.
The company that found the exploit posted an app to scan for the exploit. When I ran it on my One running the stock google edition rom it showed as patched

Apparently ARHD is as well... So I would go to say that HTC One 4.2.2 is patched already.

Yeah I know...
I think its a scare tactic. Read the article on AC.. its pretty iffy to see TiBu, root explorer and Faux Clock and other apps on the screenshot... considering I have all installed and it didn't show on mine lol

I had the 5x and I could have swore there was some sliders to play just a certain area of the video back in slow motion... Can you not do that anymore?
When opened in the Google photos app, the sliders are there for me

That's so weird... Not for me. When you go to edit? Or as soon as you open the app?
As soon as I try to view the video

sheesh...my 6p is bunk. I had to do a complete restore to factory this morning because slow mo mode locked my camera up and wouldnt unlock even with force stops, cache erase, date erase, cache erase in recovery.
I will flash factory images and see if it clears it all up.
thanks for your replies

Anyone know if this addresses anything other than what's in the list there? Should I install the update since there really isn't any hope for Root?

I legitimately just got the update this morning. I started a new job about 3 weeks ago so I haven't really been on xda. My bad guys

It fixed a few small issues. The camera stability was welcome.

Just bought the phone brand new yesterday and the camera doesn't open YouTube won't load at all either. Very annoying to say the least may exchange today at Best Buy or switch to something else entirely.
