Thank U for the update Mr. Shahan...so glad finally this rom support substratum
Is anybody facing google contact sync issue? I used the same Gapps package (pico) and my contacts aren't synced. Settings>Account>Google doesn't have Contacts inside. Not sure if i messed up anything. I'll clean flash once again if you guys haven't met this issue.
Edit: Clean flashed once again and Contacts can't be synced through Google. I used the exact same package on exodus and contacts synced fine. Screenshot attached.

Open Gapps 0723 pico. Working with RR, DU & Exodus. But not this. I switched from BaNkS to Open Gapps since I get random reboots while updating apps in Play Store sometimes.
Is BaNkS Gapps fine? I would switch to it if it's working for you (Contact Sync) since this ROM has all the feature I want while not being too bloated.
reboot once and check Settings>Account>Google.. i always had the same problem in beanstalk.. after reboot contacts used to sync

Syncs OK for me. Everything else works great. Substratum is amazing. Installed Spectrum theme with Star wars sound. Just great.
Thanks dev.

Yes with BaNkS Gapps everything is fine.
Can anyone tell me why doesn't Substratum detect the theme installed? I even restarted and installed busybox then rebooted again. Still, it's not getting detected. Storage permission is granted to Substratum. Root is granted to Substratum and the other app which seems like a package with it.

Wait for themes to update to latest version of substratum.
To start things off:
SuperSU is included in the ROM. Contacts aren't synced with OpenGapps (the exact same Gapps package worked well with Exodus), so make sure to use BaNkS on this ROM. I also use Xposed (which works well on this ROM) but no module like Gravity Box that might affect the stability. My modules: Youtube AdAway & Screenshot Delay Remover.
Boot Screen:
Screenshots attached at the very bottom. I'm not a fan of it the lightning animation.
Misc.:
Sensors, audio, camera, etc. all work fine.
Customisation:
This ROM is quite customizable, including my favourite single-tap hardware buttons to be switched to Screenshot. But it isn't well implemented like DU. I use an Xposed mod called Screenshot Delay Remover which changes the screenshot delay from default (around 1 second) to 0s. On DU, both single-tap hardware button and Power+Volume Down take 0s to initiate a screenshot. However on ZephyrOS, I notice a lot of delay initiating a screenshot using single-tap hardware button (around 1sec) but Power+Volume Down takes only 0s. That is my only complain which probably most people don't care about.
Battery:
The best. CM kernel always has the best battery here in cancro. So if you're using other ROMs with CM kernel, you may expect the same battery life here. Screenshots attached with CPU frequencies.
Bugs:
1) If you go into the "Performance" tab in Settings, Settings app force closes.
2) The Quick Setting tiles are quite fked up when you try to move the tiles around. It is a "hidden feature" in this ROM, which means it's not in the Settings app. You'll have to press and hold the Settings button after pulling down the quick settings. A screenshot is also attached.
3) Of course, with CM kernel, you can expect the super awesome Bluetooth audio bug which has existed for around 6 months I believe. In short, Bluetooth audio doesn't work. @audahadi has already fixed it in AICP according to users.
4) While playing a YouTube video in Landscape mode, I'm not able to pull down the status bar to check for time nor am I able to see the Volume Bar when I'm adjusting volume. After around 1 minute of video-playing, the video lags just like when you're using a potato computer to run Battlefield. And after a few more seconds, SystemUI crashes. There is no force close message but with my experience using CM Theme Engine, I know very well how restarting SystemUI looks like. After SystemUI restarts and unlocking your device, YouTube closes. Not sure if it's caused by early Substratum development bug or what. I'm using the latest Spectrum theme. The substratum app is also up to date. And I'm too lazy to test without any theme applied.
Theme Engine:
This ROM includes Substratum which is something that took over Layers. It is still in its early stage (launched around a month ago I believe) so it might be buggy. Too troublesome to use for me. I still prefer CMTE.
Conclusion:
TL;DR: Quite buggy, overall experience was good. Remember to use BaNkS Gapps. Thanks Shahan for the ROM!

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look in the OP to see if your device is built on a nightly or weekly schedule.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. You will need to use the version arm64/arm/whatever for SDK 27.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the install instructions in the first post...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I dirty flash builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot", then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash, and then reboot.
Using the ROM:
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
- Backup your personal data (Important)
- Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
- Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
- Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
- Flash the ROM + Gapps Zipfile.
- Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
- Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every update (= ROM Update)
Currently Supported Root Solutions:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions higher than 14.0 doesn't require flash on every dirty flash depending on the device, some devices need you to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise it should be fine

Cool, could you maybe write a short review of the rom? Your experinece? Bugs/features/etc.? It would be very usefull for all, because there is almost no information about this rom on Redmi 5.

Official dot extended are here for Mi 8 se :victory: Yey thanks
Thanks devs. DotOs is the best rom for me.
Wow! Thank you for your work.
tks dev great rom
any bugs so far ?
I'm not writing often, but now I have
ROM installed for already 3 days:
- Very smooth and fast rom
- No detected bugs so far
- Very much customizations
- Low RAM consumption
- Good battery consumption
- Most important for me: BT in ear, in call and in car (media) works like a charm
- Streaming on TV or whatever works
- Few preinstalled apps, which can be deactivated
This is the first rom for this phone where I'm happy. And believe me, I have installed almost all available roms for sirius
It is much cleaner and faster as all the derivates of miui. At the same time it has no one of these annoying GSI-bugs.
@Etylix, @arix_arx, @hungphan2001: Thank you for your work! Please drop me a message how to make a small donation because I'm excited.
My only wish: keep the project alive and maintaining the sirius. Thumbs up! For now, my search for the best sirius rom is over.

Hi, I'm going to share my experience, hope it helps.
Always when I flashed any custom rom, aosp based or miui based, my phone booted into fastboot.
I tried all twrps, formatting data, flashing magisk, disabling dm-verity, the custom kernel, ...
Nothing booted.
So I checked if this phone has ARB, and it doesn't, so I flashed with miflash an old stable miui Oreo based (those 8.x.x.x like).
Flash 1102 twrp and install latest EU miui zip because I red it has disabled something in the kernel that doesn't let boot phone if you modify boot partition (not sure, sorry)
So you boot in eu miui and reboot to fastboot, install 0423 twrp and now normal wipes and flash your favorite aosp based ROM.
Waiting update from you

Will be about 6 hours. For today SOT is about 3 hours with 30 min. calling, 1:30 h Andrioid Auto with 1:30 h Google Maps and about 1 h music play. My Battery is now at 47%.
---------- Post added at 06:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:42 PM ----------
@khangcobra: had very long time this issue. Only GSI ftom AOSiP was bootable, nothing others.
First success with installing this rom as follows:
- flash phone completely with miuiflash and last developer miui (i think, 9.5.14)
- fastboot flash recovery 1227
- boot again into recovery. Format (not only wipe) data (because encrypted)
- boot again into recovery, after that dm-verfy and dont force encrypted, so your data will leave decrypted.
- boot again into recovery and only wipe /data, cache and dalvik
- do not wipe /system, as the rom installer will make that for you
- install rom, opengapps and magisk as you want.
Booting should now work. For me, the solution was NOT to wipe /system and to let the installing scipt of the rom do that.
By the way, after using the rom a while, I was able to upgrade to the latest magisk 19.3 and to boot w/o any problem. Really fine.
System time is reset after reboot
Cannot confirm. But perhaps you mean something others. Could you please post a screenshot or describe more details?
What I have noticed: USB-debugging in developer settngs is always ON after reboot.
flashing this rom with opengapps micro its boot and work like a charm
smooth af... i'd love this
and im using twrp 1227 tryng to flash magisk 18.2 (it say unable to repack boot image) and wont boot also with magisk uninstaller after that it still wont boot...
any clue ?
edit:
done with magisk 19.3
Just installed this. Factory reset then flash from RR ROM (not GSI). Looking great so far. Can confirm Wireless Display works (only rom I've tried where it does). No bugs so far, Bluetooth working. Thanks a lot! Just a question, will there be OTA updates?
a few feedback after using this rom about 5h maybe its relative depend on users
-this rom is liquid smooth and awesome
-no major bug found
-battery life just oke... not superb
-charging speed while using are not fast as miui rom but when i put it on stand by its fast enough for QC 3.0
-pocket mode make proximity sensor always active
If you remove the clock from the status bar it does not appear but as soon as the notification curtain goes down it reappears in the status bar and does not disappear anymore ..
Anything??

Thanx alot for official built
thank you so much for the official build!
Thank you so much for updating the rom ..
Im on xiaomi.eu 20.2.27 by bitnet..what is exactly the correct step to flash this rom?
Thank you so much for that ROM. I have two questions first NoFde.zip needed? second VOLTE working or not?
Tnx for the work bro
Installation failed
Hi all,
first of all, @prakaship78 thank You very much for Your effort in developing for this device! I'm more than inclined to donate You for Your work, please keep it up.
Secondly, unfortunately, the installation failed for me. :crying:
I wanted highly customizable and stable ROM, I did a lot of research before I installed unofficial build of Havoc from @Shobhit31107 yesterday. I loved the ROM and everything went just smooth for me. I read a lot about all the traps that could come up with laurel_sprout but the installation was with no issue. So I was coming to this [ROM]-Havoc-OS-3.2-[10.0]-[Unofficial]
Today I saw Your build and was very pleased. Once I saw Your nickname I already knew, that You are very supportive in terms of our device and that You know what You're doing. But unfortunately I didn't manage to get Your build to work. Whatever instructions I follow it takes me only to Fastboot or Recovery I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I've tried with Your steps in OP, this PDF and also tried with changing A/B slots. Nothing worked
I would love to keep on with Havoc OS and having it official with OTA would be the best and I wouldn't hesitate a second with the donation. I wanted to send a small motivational amount but I didn't find Your paypal account.. I would like to support You to provide a full functional ROM to our device and once I'd be able to get it to work, I will consider supporting Havoc OS developers (even though it is a little selfish)
Edit: Successfully installed back @Shobhit31107 build by PDF guide with no issues (Clean flash).
Thanks a lot, this rom is very smooth.
For me the only problem is the android auto which is not working in my car, it freezes when i connect the USB cable.
First you need to flash stock a10 zip on both slots and make it boot
After that wipe dalvik, system,data
Flash rom zip,twrp installer
Reboot to system
I just installed the ROM, and apart from a bluetooth crash that solved itself from rebooting, everything looks fine and it feels nice, except the fingerprint sensor, which flickers A LOT and doesn't work at all, so I can't setup my fingerprint no matter what I try.
Thanks for the effort, and looking forward to a fix.
Is there any way to add face unlock in this rom? I really like this feature in miui but I'd like to try havoc os.

Do this steps:
1. Reboot to TWRP
2. Wipe System, Cache
3. Format Data (So you need to backup whatever you have in your phone)
4. Install Stock Android 10 on Slot A. after finishing, Switch to Slot B from Reboot menu and install it again.
5. Install TWRP installer. and reboot to Recovery.
6. Again Format Data
7. Install The Havoc OS Rom
8. Install TWRP installer
9. Reboot to recovery
10. Flash Gapps (if you installed non gapps version) and Reboot..
If you want to use magisk, install it after first boot.

Excuse me for the question but how do you recommend to update(from [ROM]-Havoc-OS-3.2-[10.0]-[Unofficial] ) ? Should i wipe everything or just the cash and install the rom over the unofficial older version?
Thanks!
4. Install Stock Android 10 on Slot A. after finishing, Switch to Slot B from Reboot menu and install it again.
Where can I find the zip file for Android 10?
Thx

I used Havoc on my last 3 or 4 phones and I also compiled (last year), unofficial versions of GSI (Treble) images.
I'm looking forward moving to Havoc, however I have too concerns:
1. The Android 10 stock seems not official and after the first fiasco release, pulled out. Is the unofficial v11.0.8.0 of Android 10 safe to install?
2. Which TWRP img and zip files are you using for Android 10? The official one (and the unofficial zip files) seems to be build for Pie (Android 9) vendor.
3. As we're not flashing no_fde file, can we encrypt the phone using Havoc 3.3?
I suppose, as said in OP, that this Havoc 3.3 version can't be flashed at the top of a stock 9 firmware (vendor, etc.) + AOSP Android 10 version. Am I right that to use Havoc 3.3 I need to flash Android 10 from fastboot before?
Thanks.

Yes, you need to flash 10 firmware on both slots in order to have 10 vendor, then it will be ok to flash the rom
And you can use the unofficial twrp available on xda to flash the rom
