Well its always been that with CM we have been stuck with the camera or reboots.. But considering recent achievements of CM and Resurrection Remix by developers I hope we get a stable one.
But just for instance is it possible or is it easy to have an AOSP Nougat for J7 2015? Since it is a Google source i don't think the source will have any bugs like the Camera of CM which is traveling from CM11.
Considering current situation we will all appreciate a stable nougat build.. Be it AOSP.
No offense to Developers but i was just sharing my views..

Instead of asking for so much how about you try making it yourself?
I have some experience at installing Linux by compiling things. I would like to work on AOSP. would be kind of you if you provide new with some pointers as follows.....
I am a little confused with the data overload and would like some pointers...
I want to keep only the relevant drivers in the system. So where do i find the original proprietary source files for my Samsung j7 device ?
A good guide on how to compile and the things to keep track of during all this would be very helpful. Thanks.
I am also stuck at sources. Because its not always that a CM source or a Resurrection source would be fit for an Aosp build. So i was just making a suggestion for the experienced devs..
Hello agin !
Did someone spoke that what I found on Google ?
Someone already started working on Lineage OS 14.1 to bring it to Axon 7
Link: http://www.cyanogenmods.org/forums/topic/zte-axon-7-lineage-14-1-nougat-7-1-rom/
Someone know that guy ?
Oh man my axon is coming in the mail this would be awesome if it works

Looks very interesting, thanks!
The build is very experimental and nowhere near ready. Some bugs include, Sound, Camera, Wifi however it boots. I dont have a cyanogenmod account so i didn't post it there
What Gapps are you guys using for this?

definitely not bad at all for a first build. I really can't wait for a fully working version! Thanks!

You seem to be under the impression that I built that. I did not.

Gives that impression. Either way, whoever did, it might be helpful.

ZTE said that they were going to do everything they could to help officially support Cyanogenmod on the Axon 7. Well, that project is now called Lineage OS. It would make me feel better if we could get an official response from ZTE. Otherwise, I'm just going to assume that they're just like every other Chinese manufacturer, and only care about releasing new phones instead of supporting older ones (I'm looking at you Huawei).

From what I recall, the agreement ZTE made was with an employee of Cyanogen. That person (who provided backing & assistance to the Cyanogenmod project) has since left the company, and Cyanogen Inc. has gotten out of the whole "community OS" aspect of the company, and closed Cyanogenmod up. The community that operates Lineage has no sort of ties to ZTE, nor business ties to another company (like Cyanogenmod was to Cyanogen Inc.).
ZTE did, however, send some files to the volunteer community team working on CM13. iirc, it wasn't all that helpful, but it was something at least...
LineageOS will officially support the Axon 7. Now only an early alpha is available with the typical problems of early versions, however an official support means a commitment. I contacted them to let them know that the ROM in the official page was for another device. They fixed it after a few hours with the LineageOS 14.1 v2016.12.30, they also told me that there will be more news on this device very soon.
Fingers crossed that very soon means this week. I can't believe the amount of love the one+ receives over our A7. We have dual speakers & an SD slot!!!

I doubt ZTE has anything to do with LineageOS.

They don't...our Lineage support was done by a team member not even by me. Support for 14.1 is not true though. I'm the only person at the moment who has 14.1 in development. Although ZTE has nothing to do with Lineage support they have provided me code to help bringup N development.
Nice to hear that they are helping.

LineageOS officially supporting the ZTE Axon 7 doesn't mean ZTE is supporting LineageOS. There are dozens of devices supported by LineageOS without official support from their manufacturers. However the success of Nougat for this device will depend on the release of the kernel code by ZTE to everyone.

These are good, very good news. If ZTE is willing to share their code, even before the official release, custom ROMs will have a much quicker development time, less buggy, and more people will purchase this excellent device. ZTE seems to be learning the lesson.
I am looking forward to the development for this device and the ZTE Axon 7 mini.
Hope there will be a lot of alternative ROMs ... :good:
Thanks in advance to @Unjustified Dev

They is a ROM in dev section already. LinageOS 14.1. Released yesterday.
I've seen a lot of new ROMs popping up for the Le Pro3. This is excellent as it's such an underrated device, especially the X727 variant in the US.
I notice that all builds are unofficial versions of a few popular ROMs. Is it possible that any existing developers will create an official build for our device? How can we go about spreading the word and hopefully getting official support of ROMs such as LineageOS, etc?
This would really help to bring more developers to LeEco and open the door for new projects and improved unofficial builds.

I think devices have to be popular enough to get official builds. I'd love to see a Carbon ROM pop up here soon.
Jep, can recommend Turbo's Rom, pretty cool
Hello guys,
according to to a bunch of sites (I can't post them since I have not enough posts, but you will find them via twitter search typing "lineage os 15")
LineageOS 15 runs on the LeEco 1s
Did someone test it, I assume it is based on an alpha built and will have a lot of bugs?
Is the camera working?
thanks
I can't flash los15 in leeco le 1s. I got error
i tried to flash it but i got an error developer is trying to build a stable rom

All the links that provide info of an Oreo ROM are fake.
Request not to flash and brick/damage your device.

Builders thread only!!
Looking for pioneer compilers. I know I'm capable of bringing los 15.1 to kiwi but I lack the resources at this time to build.
For those who already have trees set up I can guide u through commits to make a successful compilation.
Use this thread for commits and compilation inquiries only!!
1. Check commits from los for same chipset on kernel and device config.
2. Trial build on your private tree before making commits to github.
3. Never post untested builds.
All the commits are out there. Our respective builders on los have so many other devices to build for.
I've pioneered lg and Samsung devices w help from @ShadySquirrel to unsuspecting platforms.

Not to spam but ,compilation is a thing but will it boot correctly ?
I have trees. See your PMs.
To add more detail...
We're already compiling and have plenty of logs. Everything bootloops at ROM logo. See github.com/kiwi-o
Great to see you guys trying, fantastic !
Keep up the great work guys. Maybe this will become one of those great legacy phones.
Are you still working on this guys? I haven't seen any commits for a while

odds are yes, but its an old device and a crappy budget one so dont get your hopes up. i just got a 1+5t 128GB for $475 USD. i suggest you move on and find another device. the devs will probably succeed in porting Oreo but it will take along time since its not a very easy thing to do.
you should check in maybe every few weeks and if you really want oreo on this device, i suggest that you donate to the kind devs that develop for this device. btw, they do this for free so keep that in mind. cheers!
Do you need beta testers for lineage 15.1 ?

There's nothing to test, because it bootloops.
