Saving Battery by switching LTE to 2G when screen is off

Hi guys,
I wondered if there is a way to switch my data to 2G when screen is off and turn it back to LTE when screen is on in order to save some battery?
I've tried the following via Tasker:
status>display>off
then
plugin>secure settings>custom ROM actions>LTE>off
status>display>on
then
plugin>secure settings>custom ROM actions>LTE>on
When I toggle LTE off does it use 2G automatically and if so, how can I see if it really works?
I am rooted ofc...

Intelli3G does the trick very well. Xposed is needed.

Hm....I run a ROM where Xposed is not suggested..
There has to be another way right?
via Tasker with a command f.e. or soemthing.

Switching network modes isn't instant and swtiching to a newer one will cause the phone to reconnect to the network.

the solution is simple :
all u have to do is search the stock rom of yu5510a and flash it on yu5510, then clear cache data in recovery mode after flash is over and then reboot the phone. now your device will detect the Jio 4g. enjoy...:fingers-crossed:

I have tried but Jio Sim does not work in Yureka A05510
I think it works only in Yureka Plus

Jio works fine in YU yureka
I can use it with a speed of 5-6MBPS

i'm getting 4g but volte call is not supported in yureka plus.

Has anyone been able to make it work by flashing the 5510a ROM on 5510 for voLTE support??

Volte is working for Yureka plus..volte not working on Yureka ...I am taking about Jio free calling..not about free internet (lte)...LTE is working on Yureka and Yureka plus both but volte is not working on Yureka.

Install My Jio app and then use Jio Join app to use your 4G sim. and turn data on.

First See the app then ask.

dude, i am also talking about the calling protocol Voice over LTE, the ims protocol for calling through jio and other volte suporrted networks as the jio join app does.

Dont try this guys ,this will hard bricked your phone .. I tried it last sunday ,It is the android Version rom of yureka plus . Although voLTE not working in it but Yes Jio sim is working on it [data only] . Than i just flash the cm12.1 but after that my device not booting into recovery and not responding to anything .. My device got Hard Bricked. If you are xpert enough only than you can try it ,otherwise DONT TRY THIS.

I am on cm13 tomato custom rom. Volte calling doesnot work

Multirom for kenzo build 6.11.3 miui8

Dear All
a little review about multirom kenzo. This rom is fairly smooth and uneventful without bugs, weaknesses just slow in updating the latest build, anyway it does not matter because I think the developers are very careful in drafting its version. So, this download link and then flash as usual through twrp. if there questions and reviews from other users please give comments. Do not forget to be happy ... LOL .....

This rom and ue equally MIUI custom rom. I've tried several times eu version and the differences:
1. eu using global MIUI from Indonesia so we can not use function 4G is locked, while the second version of MIUI multirom combines global and china but we will not find bajasa china in this rom.
2. I find this rom very smoothly without bugs, but I do not guarantee that if you flash file is not damaged when you download.
3. You tell me if you have flash this rom.....

so VoLTE working on this???
i am from india using EU rom....I have to use Jio4G voice app to make calls from that sim & can't receive calls when not connected to internet on that sim.
VoLTE not working even when option in setting turned on.

Volte is working in multirom without jio4g voice app. You can see hd logo in status bar after flashing rom means volte is there.

Volte is working without any app. You can see hd in status bar means volte is working.

tried various methods...
rebooting,resetting APN,etc..
sometimes it works, other times it doesn't.

Does volte and jio sim working on this rom

Not because I reverted to miuipro which is very good at multitasking.
There was a bug in multirom that I can not disable mobile data.
Unfortunately this bug is also present in miuipro.

fixed it.
apparently AFwall+ was the culprit.
I had enabled fix startup data leak (experimental feature).
turning it off got me smooth working VoLTE

reboots while volte call

phone reboots while calling on volte call... cant use stock rom as my device is 1Gb (it will lag) so custom rom is the only way to use volte services...
used lineage firmware for all custom roms...didnt try aex, reverted back to cm14.1 (was stable volte earlier) but now reboots..is it my device problem or firmware..?

Try to be on full and strong network when you make call......

is there any custom rom that doesnt reboot...? mokee or ? lineage doesnt but heats up a lot

But you can fix this problem
Flash any custom ROM with VoLTE then go to play store and install NETWORK SIGNAL GURU
open the application> band lock> LTE> Choose BD40: TDD 2300 > Click OK
Then menu>stop forcing
Exit

Bro u need to be rooted in order to access those special permissions......1st root then try that band lock option...

Can confirm. All VoLTE calls are rebooting the phone.

This may be a fix..
use RR 5.8.3 15 April build... If you get any reboot while calling on volte ..do this

Go to ... system/vendor/libs/hw/
rename "power.msm8916.so" to "power.msm8916.so.bak"
I am using it since 2 week, no reboot during volte calls
and even better quality voice calls in low coverage of jio than MIUI stock
I have not tried with other roms.. it may work on other roms too..so try and reply

By renaming that file doesn't affect any thing on as per I know, I have searched about this file a lot in forums, some of kernels delete this file while flashing, So I dont think It cause any harm to system stability.
NO this doesn't mean phone never reboots. It's reboot like same power button method as we want but its solved problem of rebooting the phone during VOLTE calls.
Just like in miui, during calls we lose network in both sim sometimes, in custom roms instead of losing network whole system gets reboot. This prevents those reboots, hence problem solved...
If anyone knows about this particular file and what it actually do please reply.

I'm facing the same problem on my Redmi 2 Prime 2014818 even on stock as well as custom.

VOLTE not working in Indian version of moto g5 plus with LOS 15? any solution?

Flashed latest build of los 15. There are many people getting volte by enabling that enhance LTE toggle. But its seems like doesn't work for everyone. Anyone have any solution related this?
