steelseries free wirless controler (BT) - ZTE Axon 7 Questions & Answers

Hello !
I have a little trouble with steelseries free Bluetooth gamepad.
It connects to Axon 7 normally (in "gamepad mode") as a Zeemote: Steelseries FREE (and that's normal) as keyboard input device.
Then when I want to use it in game (eg. Minecraft Wich is nicely configured to use gamepad) I can not use it. System do not recognize any of buttons and thumbsticks movements.
Any ideas ?
Btw. It worked perfectly on my Moto G LTE (xt1039) with cm 14.1 on board, also it works fine with my PC and laptop.

Moderators please delete thread - it worked fine after few times connecting/disconnecting.

Game controller for Universal?

For my Ipaq I had a Zeta game controller. Does something like that exist for the Universal?
I'd like to be able to play games with a more useful controller than with the keyboard.
How long before someone writes a Wiimote driver?
You just need something which uses a Bluetooth HID (Human Interface Device) profile, really. I've played Scumm games (with ScummVM) using my SonyEricsson W550i as a controller. The W810i I've got now isn't so good for that as it doesn't have buttons at the top of the screen so you can't hold it sideways like a 'classic' paddle controller.
Yes, I was afraid of something like that. Bluetooth controllers cost a fortune, but I guess it's the only option.
Thanks
PS3
The PS3 controllers are bluetooth, I havent tried to connect them to my universal or computer though, anyone tried?
I found a reasonably cheap (20euro) BT game controller on Handit.de. It's the BGP Bluetooth GamePad.
Installation was a bit problematic at first. The HTC universal is not listed as a compatible device so I choose to install to T-Mobile Compact and that worked fine. Now it's just a matter to switch on the controller. Activate the driver on the PDA and it takes over the buttons that you programmed in (or the default set). Works pretty cool
It comes with 2 full games and some trials.

Note + BT Mouse & Keyboard

Hi, I have some problems connect my keyboard and mouse to my note.
I have Microsoft Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000 mouse and keyboard
It works fine with my Chinese tablet, but when i connect it to my phone it comes up as keyboard connected and mouse connected but nothing works. No error or anything cursor does not come up.
I saw one thread that says it worked for someone but it does not come up for me.
Can anyone please point me in the right direction ? What am i doing wrong ?
Thanks
Noone tried this yet ?
I used my MS 500 BT Mouse and my HP TouchPad BT Keyboard. Worked beautifully. The mouse curser cam up and the keyboard worked great with no lag.
My keyboard and mouse is one dongle so maybe that is why it does not work. Has anyone tried this exact setup ?
My guess is that dongle connected mouse+keyboard combos are not fully supported because they usually need specific drivers. I have a feeling I read it somewhere around these forums. There might be some exceptions but on Android it's recommended to connect BT HID compliant devices only.
Does anybody have a apple bluetooth keyboard on hand to test it with ?? (a friend of mine use mine) tx

Android detects gamepad as mouse/keyboard

Hello!
A couple days ago I bought a Steelseries FREE Mobile Wireless Controller - it connects via bluetooth.
But when I first tried connecting to it, it was recognized as mouse, I guess - I could move cursor using left analog, one of the buttons was click, another was back, etc.
It was impossible to use it in any game. Fortunately, I have found an app called Bluez IME - it emulates pad buttons as keyboard buttons, and it works in some cases(like n64 emulator or gta3), but sometimes games just don't recognize it(eg. FPSE or Riptide GP2).
I think it's stock bluetooth service's fault, because on my phone it works fine(but obviously I didn't buy a gamepad to play on 3.5" screen ) but I can't be sure :/
Has anyone had this problem before on this tablet?
P.S. I'm running android 4.2.2 and I wrote a support ticket on Steelseries' website and I'm waiting for reply.
Also, please move if wrong section.
EDIT:
I have been thinking a bit - if Bluez IME can interpret input from my controller, maybe it would be possible to write an app that would take that input and emulate a gamepad. Do you think it could be done? Unfortunately, I have very little java experience :/
EDIT 2:
I just got an reply from Steelseries support:
"Hello,
Unfortunately, it will always detect is as a mouse. I am sorry but this is just the way that it was designed.
Best regards,[...]"
I guess, that the guy from support didn't exactly understand that my problem wasn't the mouse but the fact that I can't play any gamepad-enabled games - only with keyboard emulation ._.

Wrong mapping on some games with C.T.R.L.R

Hello everyone,
I have a problem with the CTRLR controller (the one sold with the MOJO or one purchased separately).
Some games do not recognize the gamepad, or with wrong mapping.
For example, on the game "Horizon Chase" ( seems great), nothing works except start and back buttons.
But a wired Xbox 360 pad works perfectly.
Also, there are no changes between the gamesmart and pc mode.
I tested the pad on my LG G3 with the same game, and same result.
My Mojo runs on CyanogenMod 12.1.
Anyone has a solution to fix this ?
Maybe a config file to add or an app who emulate the xbox 360 layout?...
Thanks,

USB Gamepad support on Moto G4 ?

Going crazy here trying to connect my wired knockoff PS3 Gamepad to the G4 ! The cable is good it seems as I can connect a thumbdrive and OTG Troubleshooter detect OTG when I plug in the Gamepad. Unfortunately is it NOT recognized by any games.
I found a Gamepad discussion for the Moto G and some people were having similar problems, one trick was to use USB Joystick Center 2015. That app is no longer on the Appstore for some reason but I found it on an APK repository. It did indeed find my Gamepad (MaxFire Blaze 2) but I can't really map keys automatically or manually.
Anyway, has anyone had more luck ? Thanks for any help !
PS - managed to connect a bluetooth Gamepad but that's creating massive interference with the WiFi connection to my drone , hence my quest to use a USB Gamepad.
Answering my own question, hopefully it will help someone, managed to get USB PS3 Gamepad native support by flashing the Pacman ROM here http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/development/rom-pac-rom-6-mm-moto-g4-g4-plus-t3453595
Well, it gets better, using the stock ROM and flashing the Elemental Kernel here http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/development/kernel-elementalx-g4-0-01-t3424836 actually adds USB PS3 Gamepad support, wonderful !
