Help getting Verizon S7 edge on final beta of Nougat... - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hey there guys. I was hoping to get some help. I have been searching around online and on YouTube but I can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for. I have the g935v Verizon variant of the s7 edge. It's on 6.0.1 and latest software updates through verizon.
I just received it and it looks like I missed the boat because Samsung pulled the beta program for nougat but I was hoping to come across something to get that final beta installed on my phone. I don't have a PC, but I have a Mac Pro. Does anybody know how to get the most recent nougat build installed on my phone using either just the phone itself or my Mac computer? I would be eternally grateful.

wait...... when samsung release OTA....(No more than 3 week......)
also ..... there is ROMs development...

Last I heard it would be December and that's come and gone. I don't want to sit around and wait if I don't have to.

Anyone else?

No idea dude. I've got King Nougat v6 flashed and honestly this rom is on point.
Tried every rom on here and this one has no issues. Best bet until all the official files are floating around everywhere.
Save you some time digging around looking for what you need. I spent too long last night doing just that

Ok cool. Forgive my noobness but it's been a few years since I've rooted and flashed a rom. Do you have a link on how to do it on a Mac?

Update Help Please?

I bought the Aser Iconia A500 today, and its still running an old build of 1.104.XX..
I was wonder if I could download the Updates somewhere, and then install them on the Tablet.
The OTA Download is taking forever and has failed at 92% the first attempt (on second now, and only at 19% after 32 min).
I don't have "root" and would like to update manually without root if possible.
Thank you in advance for any help given..

Thank you for the reply JdgM3NT4L.
Do I have to install ALL of those one by one?

You know I would hope not. I would guess that you could go to the 1.4.1 or 1.4.7 straight from where you are. And then maybe the OTA to 3.1 will work. But I wouldn't take my word for it.
Hopefully someone that knows will stumble on this and help you with that part.
Oh, Okay. Well thank you for pointing me to the forum topic.
I just dont want to download the wrong thing and screw this tablet up. I just got the thing like an 3 hours ago.

Hehe you really can't with any of the files on that thread lol, the worse you could do is use the wrong update and confuse the gps, making it think you are in europe or something lol. In other words, no worries once you get to 1.141.07, OTA should kick in: lets just say acer didn't get of to that hot of a start with the whole updating business lol.

Hello all,
Sorry if this has been asked before, but I am on the phone and it is difficult to find my way around the forum like this.
Anyone knows if Note 4 is going to have a Marshmellow firmware update at some point?
Cheers and thank you

Most probably in this month (march) or the next one.
I´ve tried 6.0 in CM13. It´s great, but I can´t live without Note features. And I have a Sview Cover wich only works with TW.
I find odd that Samsung is releasing 5.1.1 releases still, according to this page:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-N910F/
but 6.0.??? which we would want....zilch!!!!

OTA System Update notice...for April?

I got the popup for a System Update pending. I'm on BRA1 now.
Any reason not to take it?
Where can see the Patch Notes (Never have been to find them easily. The Samsung 'official' would be fine, but is there some fan site that digs digger for techies who want to get past marketing speak and bullet points?
Thanks
Nope don't take it...best thing to do is to wait until you find out whether or not you can Odin back to old firmware...if you one of those who like to mod I would seriously wait until you find out more about it...nothing good ever comes from those who jump the gun...he'll were lucky enough to have root and modifications despite our locked bootloader. (Knocking on wood)

I just tried to root with it, but got stuck in a bootloop. I'm not sure if it's the update, but I'm not new to rooting and know my way around. Fairly certain I didn't screw anything up in the process.

Obviously V5 will not work since your oreo update is v6
There is a post in the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge subject here in XDA with full stock firmware, i can´t post the link because i´m new here.
I used that one and works like a charm.

J5 prime(exynos) custom rom

I have been using Galaxy J5 Prime for a long time and it is still fast and capable device. But after updating the 7.0.1 I was unable to revert back to 6.0 It was one of the biggest mistakes I have ever done with this phone. Ever since then I have been trying to figure out a way to solve this but unfortunately I can't. I really really want to use AOSP It doesn't even have to be ,I am sure there are many people who feel the same thing. I have 7.0.1 Nougat update installed and can't go back to any older versions. Please support this so maybe we can fasten the process.

Man you can easily go back to marshmallow that's why he is saying its a joke. Everything you posted is not true.
Download the firmware from sammobile and flash using Odin. That's it

odin is not recognizing my smartphone and I am also saying that this device might be being abandoned by developers who might not even be interested in compiling a resurrection remix rom or lineageOS among many other AOSP
