Intermittent charging with OEM cord - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My original cord just recently stopped charging when the connection comes in from the left side. When i wiggle the cord over to the right, it charges fine. I've tested this with my wife's 5X charger and cord, and it reacts the same. So I know it's my 6P connection that's the problem. Has anyone seen this or have any advice?

Try cleaning your charging port from dirt by blowing a little of compressed air, or use a toothpick.

Stand alone 8525 battery charger?

Do they make a stand alone 8525 (hermes) battery charger? Perhaps I could order a spare battery and wall charger for it?
Issue I have is that with my home wall charger, the connector at the bottom appears loose. I have to hold it a certain way for the orange charge light to work. If I touch it while plugged in, the charging light blinks to orange to off and back randomly (like a very loose connection).
At work my USB cable doesn't do this, but I took a pair of plyers and squeezed the cable connector so that there would be a tighter fit. I've seen other people's StarTrek(3125) completely break off the port inside the phone, so in case that would happen to me I was hoping for a backup solution for at least charging the battery. I can still sync or transfer files with WiFi, but yeah it would suck if the USB connector inside the Hermes broke off like it does on the StarTrek flip smartphones.
While I have not tried one there are some available. Here is a link to a place that advertises one: http://www.cellphoneshop.net/debachwipoco3.html

My guess is a gummed up port. Use a magnifying glass and bright light to inspect USB port for debris, corrosion, or damaged pins on both sides of connector. You may also notice some pins less shiny than others. They're dirty. Or take pics of the ports with a good camera and zoom in. Do the same for the unplugged cable. Clean by turning off the phone, dipping toothpick in isopropyl alcohol and wiping pins with toothpick. Allow a few minutes for evaporation and give it a try.
You could do a RMA
If it's charging on both sides with one cable and not the other, it's probably the cable. I recently had this issue of slow charging on my wife's phone and found the best way to solve it is with amphere and grabbing all the micro USB cables in the house. I ran amphere, and plugged each cable in and let it test then used the one with the best draw. Ironically the one with her phone (LG g3) was among the slowest at about 200.. And the one for her Bluetooth earpiece came in at the highest at just over 2000! I'm guessing it was a defective cable cause we had previously rarely used the one that came with her box cause she had the Galaxy s4 cable still as it was like almost 3 feet long! The Bluetooth one is alot shorter but charges so much faster she just leaves it be for a bit and can charge it fully in alot less time. Difference is a couple hours versus overnight. Give it a try with whatever ones you can find around the house!

Charger Cable Has Gone Loose, Found Traces of Wax in the Port

Yesterday, I noticed some wax in my official charger cable's USB-C port. I noticed the same wax in my S8's USB-C port. The charger cable wasn't going all the way in, it felt odd. So I tried to clean out the wax that was visible inside the port on the phone as well as the charger.
Even after that, I still feel that my charger cable is detaching from the phone far too easily, than it used to before.
So, can anybody confirm if their charger cable locks in firmly, and while detaching does it require some effort or it detaches smoothly without any pull.
In fact, I just tried moving the cable around while it was plugged in and the phone immediately alerted me that the phone is no longer charging as the charger isn't plugged properly.
How come you dipped it in wax?? My charge cable works just fine. No wax to speak of

That's very strange, both the usb-c adaptor and the usb-c cable seem fine to me, both for quite securely.

What explains no charging when charge port is good (brand new)?

The charge port of my son's 6P stop charging. Since it was so "wiggly" that the USB-C charge cord would barely stay connected (suggesting to me that my son had been too rough in plugging-in and unplugging his charge cord until he broke the charge port), I decided to replace the daughterboard which has the charge port on it.
I ordered a new daughterboard, opened the phone and replaced the existing daughterboard with a brand new one. Now the charge cord fits snuggly. But it still doesn't charge.
The wide ribbon cable which runs down from the top of the battery area to the daughterboard is reconnected. The antenna lead is reconnected. All connections are snug. Still no charge.
Q. - What are the most likely failures that would explain this?
I wouldn't expect multiple components (like charge port and battery) to fail simultaneously. The original charge port was definitely worn out. What am I missing?

Warp Charge is not working

Hi All,
I'm using Oneplus 8 pro. Suddenly while charging my phone I can clearly see that Warp charge is not working. It is taking time to charge my phone. Earlier warp charge was working fine. Can anyone help me on resolving this issue?
Regards,
walis
turn off optimized charging.
i do that bro but same problem
Try different cables and charge blocks. Maybe one of yours is worn out.
Clean your USB Port -
Charging problems may be caused by dust blocking the connections in the charging port. Dirt, dust, and lint can get between the metal pins of the charging cable and charging port, preventing electricity from flowing. Clean your connection port with a toothpick to remove dust.
