It works in latest RR and others. You must turn it on within settings -. gestures. If you flash a kernel that mess this feature up...

As strongst mentioned, it's under Settings. I'm running the 04/01/2017 RR build from Silesh (link here http://downloads.resurrectionremix.com/athene/RR-N-v5.8.0-20170104-athene-official.zip) on a XT 1462 (G4 Plus, dual SIM) as well, and if I go into Settings > Gestures, scroll down to the bottom, I find the fingerprint sensor as home button (see screenshot). Do you have that on yours?

You're sure that you running the mentioned version of RR or newer?
In addition to strongst's question about checking if you have the latest version (either 04/01 from http://downloads.resurrectionremix.com/athene/ from or the latest 16/01, found on Silesh's Google Drive - https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B1ZbHDX3hq1yMjBmMEd2eWxvNEk), may I ask if you wiped cache/Dalvik (and possibly data too) prior to installing this version of RR?
I've just updated to the 16/01 build through TWRP 3.0.3-n1, wiped cache and Dalvik and the option is still there (plus it works well)

Hey guys! I'm trying to understand on which stock ROM you have flashed a Nougat custom ROM.
Personally, I'm on the latest RETEU 6.0.1 MPDS24.107-52-5 + January security patch (I don't remember, maybe 107-70) and I run AospExtended 4.3 with Optimus kernel r21.
So... what's your base firmware? Is it all ok?
I am using the combination you read in my signature. I have to disable HW overlays after every restart in order to have full screen video and stock camera working right. Except those, the device is faster and i love it.

And what is the stock ROM you have on the base?
Hm, didn't notice that part of your question from my tablet. If it may be of any help, i was using stock mm 6.0.1 but i erased system, data, cache and dalvik (clean installation) prior flasing the AOSiP 6.0.

The latest? And which version? European, Asian...
This one: XT1562_LUX_RETASIA_DS_6.0.1_MPDS24.107-52-5_cid7_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC (which i used to convert it from single sim to dual sim). There is also a newer one, you can find it here.

I have this exact same problem. I tried with LiquidRemix and didn't check any other ROMs. Thought it was some kind of hardware problem but after reading your comment i guess it wasn't, as you said its working in RR. Thanks for finding that out. Now i am going to try each and every ROM available to check which one works and which one don't. I also think this must be a kernel problem as there are no hardware issues. Can you flash moun kernel in different ROMs to check whether it works or not?

Cosmicdan's Twrp is not working for me. Only mohancm's twrp 3.2.1-2 is working but after locking and relocking the screen in TWRP.
Just flashed RR non treble and the touch is not working after the screen lock
How did you flash RR treble if the cosmicdan's twrp is not working. Was your device already partitioned for treble or is there any workaround?

Sorry for bugging you with my nooby questions :silly:

Don't need to flash stock ROM I'm on Resurrection Remix treble ROM and for flashing I followed steps stated in forum.. it's work for me no bootloops.
First fastboot flash userdata userdata.img and then boot into Twrp and flash ROM zip that's all.

Userdata.img is not necessary, just install the rom and format data(must) then reboot
Thnx for the help guys but after spending hours flashing different ROMs, TWRPs and kernels, I finally found the solution for the touch screen bug.
eXtreme kernel is the only kernel that was able to fix the screen completely. Its working in all of the custom ROMs (tried on LOS15.1 & 16, RR, LR Oreo and pie, etc.)
The stock versions of francokernel, void kernel are able to fix the touch screen but it breaks WiFi so they are not a complete fix.
And btw stock versions of Franco, extreme, void kernels work on the stock ROM.
my touch doesnt work on pin screen and in twrp **help** after flash from stock oreo to this rom exl. format data /system and cache..
must i calibrate this or?? when i pres 1 touch meen 9 homebuttons too
is my touch broken or its a bug??
//after flash oreo 8.1 with mi flash ... touch doesnt work

hey there,
I m using RR(resurrection remix) from years and i know much about flashing and stuff but today i got to know that there was RR OS android 9 available in moto g5 plus so i flashed the rom by wiping dalvik cache, cache, system, data and storage as well and then i flashed gapps and i got an error code 64 which said that i have to use ARM64 not ARM for my device so i again did everything and then flashed gapps 9.0 ARM64 and it was complete and my device booted successfully but when i was setting up password/pattern i came to know that there was no option of setting up fingerprint but it did have fingerprint gesture options in settings -> resurrection tools. please help me for solving this problem.
THANK YOU!!!

Nope. There is a file. Firmware-upgrade.zip. something like that. Flashing that would work if you had nougat as base instead of oreo.

Flash directly. IF it doesn't work then go back to nougat then flash stock twrp oreo and then RR7.0

Flash the 8.1 firmware. (recommended) Check XDA, you'll get it.
otherwise you can flash a zip which will enable the fingerprint sensor but you won't get nfc.
Best option is to flash the 8.1 firmware update, make sure to uncheck erase EFS.
After sucessfully flashing it, flash any custom rom of your choice.
I've installed Pie rom for hi6250 devices adn cannot see fingerprint gestures. For me only swipe down for notifications is important. I remember i had option to choose gestures while using phh's GSI based on Android Oreo. Any chance to get it on Android Pie?

Can you tell me which recovery did you use?
Hi guys,
Everything was working great with LineageOS 15.1 (Android 8.1), but they have discontinued the support for this version and switched to 16.0, and a FOTA update of Lineage from 15 to 16 isn't possible, so I had to download the zip manually, and flashed it using TWRP, around the end of April. Since then the Wi-Fi does not work.
I should explain what this "does not work" mean: I turn it on (either from the pull-down curtain, or from the Settings -> Network -> Wi-Fi menu), it pretends to switch on for 1-2 seconds, and then the switch turns off by itself, so it doesn't even have time to scan the available networks.
I have tried to burn a newer image again, around the beginning of May, but it didn't fix the Wi-Fi problem. I was googling a lot, but seems like nobody reports such a problem.
Any ideas how to fix it, other than going back to Android 8.1? Preferably I'd like to stay with LOS, but if I have no choice, I can consider moving to RR, or AOSP Extended or whatever.
Thanks!
I think its a boot.img problem. I have seen this error in stock too. The wifi/bluetooth used to turn off immediately after i turned them on and the error was because i flashed the wrong boot.img . If i were you i would clean flash the rom again
What do you mean by "wrong boot.img"? I don't flash any boot.img separately, I just flash the whole LineageOS rom (and then Gapps) from TWRP. Should I flash anything else? I don't think so...
Well, in my case at least the Bluetooth works properly (with both headphones and smart watch).
SOLVED!
Surprisingly, the problem seems to be solved now.
After flashing lineage-16.0-20190426 and later lineage-16.0-20190530 versions, where the Wi-Fi didn't work - today I have flashed lineage-16.0-20190704, and guess what? It is back now!
Thought it should be important to update the thread here.

You mean, even if I upgrade from Lineage 15.1 to 16 I need to flash the stock rom first? Why?
BTW I saw some reports on Wi-Fi problem while going back from custom to stock rom too, and there was some patch suggested to fix it.

Because its a prerequisite on Lineage 16, it depends on parts of stock Pie rom being installed.
The LO16 thread also listed a migration step if you didn't flash the stock Pie rom beforehand.

Its on the xda thread, not on the lineageos website.
Xiaomi made some changes during the upgrade from Oreo->Pie and introduced ARB. Now you cannot downgrade back to Oreo easily. Just flashing back to Oreo(stock or custom rom) will cause the phone to bootloop. For the same reason your phone probably faced issues when you flashed (Pie) LO16 without the Pie firmware.

Well, I did not try to downgrade from Pie to Oreo. All I tried to do was an upgrade from LOS 15.1 to LOS 16 (15.1 worked excellent). And I had no idea I needed to flash the stock rom in between, so I just flashed 16 over 15.1, without wiping the data partition (only wiped dalvik cache).
Can you please point me to the XDA thread you mention, where it says I had to flash the stock rom first?
Anyway, since everything works OK now (or, at least, I don't find any malfunctioning, probably except for the native camera app, so I use an external app), I don't think I should play around with it again, right?

Some parts of the firmware might not be overwritten by LOS/stock depending on the version. The original LO16 used Oreo firmware iirc. The thread is not hard to find, just look for it.
