Hi guys, I have a problem. I had enabled advanced calling under verizon account long time ago, and it's still enabled, but the option to enable it under phone settings is missing.
So I disabled the verizon advanced calling feature and reenabled it to see if the option would pop up on my mxpe.
It doesn't.
Any suggestions?

You appear to be running a custom ROM, so I am not sure, but on stock you need to dial *#*#4636#*#* and turn on VOLTE provisioned flag under Phone information. Then Enhanced 4G LTE Mode should show up in your Cellular Networks menu.
Touching that option does nothing.
I'm on stock Feb 1 2015. Rooted.
Once it is enabled it should say "TURN OFF VOLTE PROVISIONED FLAG". Then the Enhanced 4G LTE option should be available under Cellular networks. That is strange, it should appear regardless of support by your carrier. If you enable it and the carrier doesn't support it, it should simply disappear again once a call is placed.
This is how it should look:

Yup nothing happens when pressed. It doesn't show to turn off after pressed. I made a video but decided not to post it as the phone info shows my phone number.
Had a slip up on the version. Its Nov 1st 2015.
I disabled radio for 15 seconds and enabled and waited 15 seconds. Still wont turn on :/. It was a suggestion by others for the same problem but it doesnt fix it.
I installed trupurexxm. All is well. Dunno what borked the other ROM I was using. It was stock odexed or deodexed cannot recall.

So I've noticed for the past month that wifi on my phone keeps activating by itself even after I manually turn it off. Ive tried reflashing the stock rom and the modem several times, but it doesn't seem to stop the random activation. I also must note that when wifi is off and I try to enable it, the screen will just say "wifi is turning on..." but it won't actually turn it on. It will do this until I reboot the phone, at which point, the wifi will finally be enabled but then I get the problem with turning it off again.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this?
My device:
Nexus 4
Stock rooted 5.0.1
Hybrid 1.05/.33 modem
Stock kernel
Xposed module
That's not a bug, that's a feature of Android.
This is definitely not a feature. If your talking about the "always on" setting, I've already have that disabled
You mean scanning always available setting?
Is this only on lollipop? Did you try with jellybean as well?

I've only had the phone on kit kat and lollipop. So far this has only happened recently. I'm not really sure what's going on. My battery depletes even more quickly now while im at work since the phone wifi antenna keeps activating by itself.
Wifi doesn't really use much power. Mine is on 24/7.
There might be a hardware problem. I would flash different radios with jellybean first.
Hello, if this is in the wrong section please have a moderator move it, as I am unsure if it should be here or in the Tmobile section.
I have a Sprint Galaxy S7 that I have had SIM unlocked. I have my T-Mobile SIM installed and have data and voice. I am coming from a T-Mobile Note 4 which was working perfectly.
Every now and then(sometimes twice a day) I get loss of signal and sometimes I get this error message that pops up when it happens. usually turning airplane mode on and off will solve it, but sometimes it requires a reboot.
When it happens my signal bar goes blank, I have no data and cannot send or recieve phone calls or Text messages. It is very annoying and I cannot seem to find the correct combination of Mobile Network settings.
I have also noticed slow LTE download speeds and almost non existent upload speeds. Sometimes it says 3G instead of LTE next to the signal.
I live in Chicago and have attached some pics of my settings. If any more pics are needed just let me know. It is so frustrating I am thinking about just trading this phone into tmobile for their version of the phone to avoid all this hassle, but would rather not get ripped off. They say the trade in value is only like $400, but they charge $650 for their GS7, so yea.
Is there a solution to this?

Traded the sprint s7 into tmobile for their version, less hassle. Now I get wifi calling, tethering, and faster lte data without drops.
Hi guys.. I have a freedompop g2 (ls980) I'm not quite sure what they programmed with but some kind of custom rom for their service?
I had this phone working on ringplus but then they booted me/canceled me
But when I popped this phone on my other ring+ account.. it didn't exactly instantly come up.. I had to program the msn/phone number manually.. and then I got voice service.. but past that.. the 3G/LTE just won't work.. the phone is constantly caught in this mode

So I'm not sure what the problem is.. as I see it
it could be
1. software?
2. ringplus?
when I dial the programming code ##775# it crashes.. (hitting activate this device also causes a crash) I also see this problem is for others on ring+ but this phone used to work perfectly before ring+ kicked me off a certain account.
I am rooted have twrp on there.. and have put on this mod and taken it back off.. and I do have it on the wifi.. there is a myth or something that the prl can be programmed by wifi?? but doesn't work in my case.
PRL is built in by different operators, in this case, Its a Sprint service. It won't work if you're not using Sprint I think. 3G and LTE won't work because of different CDMA bands/frequencies.
all I can tell you is I got 1x/cdma working.. I wonder if I can dump my lte sim into another sprint phone and expect it to work?
ahh unresolved.. unresolved..
gonna go to used phone store.. and test my ring+ sim's I get to see if they get data.
Anyone know how to enable Wifi calling for this device on T-Mobile US network??
you have the XZ2 Premium on T-Mobile? I was holding off on getting it until someone could confirm it worked. 2 different people on reddit have said 2 different things.
The settings should be here:
Android 8.0
To enable Wi-Fi Calling
Find and tap Phone .
Tap the menu button (three vertical dots) > Settings > Calls > Wi-Fi Calling. If Wi-Fi Calling isn't available, contact your network operator.
Tap the switch beside Off to enable Wi-Fi Calling.
Click to collapse
Which I found here: https://support.sonymobile.com/us/xperiaxz2/faq/801930746ffcf563015c0bfaac370020da/#gref
No it does not have T-Mobile WiFi Calling or VoLTE so it is the same as the normal XZ2

Thx altima! Good to have confirmation on this.
The XZ3 DOES have it for T-Mobile (VoLTE, NOT Wi-Fi Calling though), but the camera is like TWO steps back vs. the XZ2 Premium's. Plus one lens vs. two. I bought one and loved it for 18:9 + OLED screen, but returned it mainly cuz of the camera not being up to par.
XZ3 Premium for me!! lol
I have installed eSim in my Pixel in 2020. It worked perfectly for 2 years in Russia, then it worked perfectly for ~ 7 month in Cyprus.
Me last SMS received was on 18 Dec.
On January I tried to login with 2FA using this eSim. And it turned out that eSim is not active and it throws an error when I try yo activate it.
It is impossible to activate eSim, to delete eSim, to install any new eSim profile.
Do you have any ideas how to fix it?
The only two things that I changed in my Pixel before eSime gone broken: 1) updated OS to Android 13 and 2) enabled chat features in Google Messages

I also tried to downgrade to Android 12 – still cannot install eSim, EID not found. How the hell it could be gone?
Same problem after today Google Play System Update. Pixel4XL.
During adding new esim: Device EID not found. Something went wrong, and your device EID number couldn't be found at this time. Please contact your carrier for help.
Also old esim could not be deleted.
"Use Sim" results in "Can't disable carrier - Something went wrong and your carrier could not be disabled. (I am enabling not disabling)
"Erase Sim" results in "Can't erase SIM - This SIM can't be erased due to an error. Restart your device and try again.
"System > Reset options > Erase downloaded SIMs" does nothing. I press "Erase" and it returns to the prior screen. No message and no change to my list of esims.
Any ideas? Help is appreciated!
Thanks)
