Hey folks,
Opengapps has a bundledawk branch, which allows building versions of gapps that have awk linked to update-binary. So I built arm gapps for Android 6.0 out of that branch.
TL;DR; These gapps can be flashed on CM recovery that has toybox instead of busybox
(Yeah no more error 255).
