Has battery life on Android 7.1.1 become better since Android 7.0? If yes, would anyone suggest me a ROM with great battery life?
Battery duration on 7.0 sucked so much that i returned to Pure Nexus MM. Thanks in advance
In android 7.1.1 I use the stock ROM. The battery life is acceptable, I arrive at the end of the day with 40% load on average.
Cortex ROM (stock base)
there are alot, i would suggest you try each and see what you like the most !
my suggestions would be these : Resurrection Remix/PureNexus/Aosip/DirtyUnicorns/NitrogenOS.
all of them are good, but see what you'll like the most.
Also use Cortex ROM but with ElementalEx Kernel running GhostPepper. Get pretty solid battery life.
Stock rom with EX Kernel / Hawktail

Could please someone suggest me a lollipop or marshmallow ROM which has a decent battery life? I don't want return on KitKat because of the bad UI but it was the only version which has a good battery life. Waiting for suggestions...
+1 on that. Is there any Marshmallow ROM where doze and app standby actually work?
Try any rom of supports Doze!
which one is better in terms of speed and battery life? i dont care about camera, and nougat seems too buggy yet for me
If You want Battery life Go to Superlite mini ROM
And if you want speed go to RR 5.8.3 ( 7.1.2) with Smartpack kernel And set option ( Cpu Governor --> Nightmare) ( Multicore power save --> Enabled)
The Battery life is Good not bad But is Good

Here is a simple comparison of what I've found with battery life:
Stock > CM13 > LOS14.1
This is still true even after using efficiency battery profiles. I get much faster battery drain during standby while on LOS which is a deal-breaker for me
hello
Which ROM is better in terms of battery?
Stock EUI 5.9 23S by so far. (pretty much all stable Marshmallow releases are good)
I recommend Destroyer v11 by TURBO 2012

But if you want to try any nougat based CUSTOM rom, then AICP 12.1 or Omnirom are good to go but you need to tweak the kernel settings a bit for the best battery life
Rom by Tora33 on Leeco.re forum should be good too link here:

Nougat rom I tried Hexagon rom, you can choose battery mode for Battery, Efficient, Balance, Quick and Performance
This rom is good one of the best I tried just Google for it.
In my experience the best SOT I got was with stock rom. Custom roms and kernels do not give me as good battery as stock rom. Anyone experienced differently? If so, please share Rom+kernel combo.
I would like to know too. But custom kernels as of this date for our devices doesnt seem to live up to their purpose in giving performance and better battery. Most of them only gives you better idle battery management but has problems like slow charging etc. Damn i wish we have huge number of devs like in RN5pro
I am searching for some custom ROM which can be used as a daily driver as this is my primary phone.
Hope our developer bring it
Android Pie ROM is better then stock in my experience. If you want otg support it isn't for you.
AEX 5.8
AEX 5.8 + Darkonah Kernel v3 = Very good battery backup and butter smooth. Also, you can try PBH Kernel
I tried crdroid rom
I was getting better sot than stock
But it was not as smooth after i installed so many apps
As of now it is the best rom and dev is also very active in fixing bugs

Wait for Android p. Hope everything will be fixed in that.
Hi guys,
Im pretty new with gs4 and I want to know what is the best custom ROM in order to increase the battery life.
I just tested optimized lineos 16 & 17 and the two of us are very battery consumming, i understand that android 9 & 10 are very consuming for the old gs4!
So what is the solution, go back to stock rom or there is a custom rom optimized to improve battery life?
Bye !
Hi, I use JDC Lineage OS 17.1 and it is crazy loooooooong with Dark mode.
