hello,
have sombody a idea how the annoying yellow charging led (and when full green) could be deactivated?
tested with apps like lightflow ledblinker and so on... lightflow gives most customizable things, but nothing works.
also root things don't help... tested much.
xposed i have installed but can't find modul can do the job.
thx

Settings -> Display -> deselect "indicator light" might do it.
only, charging led.... not more should be disabeld.
Using apps like led notification i think you can disable it

Hello everyone,
Got a Bell Atrix 4G, unlocked it and I am using on Rogers network. So far, it is working well.
I am having a problem setting Notification Light. I tried the built in notification light under Settings and a few different notification light apps from market. I used to get a green light for email before but I don't get it anymore after playing with other free apps. I just can't figure this out. I put my phone on vibration mode at work so I would love to have notification lights working.
What I need is different lights for Missed calls, Email, SMS. Has anyone dealt with this issue?
Any help will be much appreciated and thank you!
I use the app light flow for that. Gives me total control over the LED. I have different colors flash for different notifications.
I use Light Flow https://market.android.com/details?id=com.rageconsulting.android.lightflow
and it handles a ton of apps and uses a TON of color combinations.
Worth the $1.
haha, i was going to start this topic today. I use blue for my Trillian notifications, Purple for yahoo mails.
will try the light app suggested above.
Thanks!
Thank you guys! Yes, "Light Flow" makes it work. Please ensure you turn on "Setting > Display > Notification LED".
Light Flow does not work correctly on the ATRIX AT ALL. I had low battery warnings going off when the battery was fully charged, no charge LED ON option, no charging LED, only discharging WTF?
Hello,
My phone Blinks with blue LED's occasionally. It seems to be a double flash and does not indicate a notification. It reminds me of the S3 Touchwiz motion detector and I have checked that I do not have the SMART ON settings enabled.
Anyone know what these may be?

It is a notification of one of the accounts you are connected to, somehow. Have you turned the LED off in settings?
Turn LED off (settings, display, scroll to bottom)>restart phone>turn LED back on
Hey guys I'm not able to use blue led notification on my s3 neo other colours like green and red works fine for notifications the blue led doesn't work I tried it even on the HW test module *#0*# what shall I do please help
if other colors work then its probably not a hardware problem.
silly question but did you switch it on in settings > led indicator > notifications? Note that the led only works when screen is off, unless using market apps.
That was really a silly question but anyways thanks
I tried flashing the firmware bit still it doesn't work
If a fresh install did not work, try light flow or led blinker from market to see if you get the results your looking for. If you get the blue color when using the apps then you could assume that the problem is not a hardware but may be in your rom or maybe a app you installed.
Hi!
Is there anyway I can disable charging led on rooted Nougat?
The green led lights up to the roof when the batery is full. I dont want to disable all notifications, only charging led.
Thank you

Maybe something like that? Take the stock LED functions out of the picture, and use a program like that to handle all of your notifications.
Being rooted, you should be able to find way more powerful / configurable programs than the program above. One program that kept popping up was called "Light Flow".
Sometimes the best way to change the stock behavior is to bypass the stock all together.
Tapatalk for Android - Works awesome on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge
thank you!!
Hi!
Since updating to Oreo can't find a way to disable notification light (which I really hate)
This thread is the closest I could find:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a1/themes/root-disable-charging-led-t3713525
1. run shell as root, "chmod 644 /sys/class/leds/red/brightness"
2. run shell as root, "echo 0 > /sys/class/leds/red/brightness"
3. run shell as root, "chmod 444 /sys/class/leds/red/brightness"
If I enter the three commands stated in that thread via Termux the light won't light up while charging but if I receive a message after unplugging the phone, light start blinking and won't stop even if I dismiss the notification.
Browsing /sys/class/leds I found there are many leds definitions (red, green, blue, torch, etc.).
Please, any help would be great!
Thanks in advance!
Something has changed in Oreo, this simple way doesn't work correctly anymore. I just got used to the charging LED.. You might try with Xposed and GravityBox, but charging LED notification modes were a bit buggy when I tried it few months ago.

Thanks for your reply.
I really can't understand how there's no option to disable the lights as it was in Nougat.
Anyway, the strange thing is that the trick for button-backlight is still working and it's exactly the same changing "red" for "button_backlight".
So far I'm turning the notification light off on a per app basis (WhatsApp, Messenger, SMS, etc.).
But not all apps have that feature.
If anyone has any idea would be great.
Thanks!
PS: Sorry for my English.
