[XT1092][OTA][OFFICIAL][RETEU] 23.16.3 OTA Rolling out and ZIP captured

Hi guys,
It seems like 23.16.3 is rolling out for XT1092. I restored my Moto X 2014 to factory and upon first boot, it had an update available. Update doesn't contain anything new, but Stagefright fixes and a couple of bug fixes. File size is around 18.52 MB.
Unfortunately, I wasn't rooted when I was downloading the OTA, so, if anyone who is rooted and receives the OTA, kindly grab the zip from /cache folder and help the fellow XDA people

Place the zip in Internal Storage of the phone, and then check for update in Settings, and then press 'Install Now' :good:
OR
Install through ADB Sideload in Recovery
Go to Settings > About Phone and check for the following:
System version: 23.16.3.victara_reteu.reteuall.en.EU
Build number: LPE23.32-25.3
Congratulations! You have upgraded your phone to the latest OTA as of October 01, 2015.

I'm rooted and unlocked so have not flashed.

This is for OFFICIAL and unmodified version of system firmware. For TWRP, checkout the posts in this thread :highfive:

Unfortunately, no. You'll have to wait until someone with RETGB variant captures the OTA.

I'd worked this out from reading other threads, but thanks for confirming!

No, it's for stock recovery only. We need to wait for someone to repack update for TWRP.

Moto G 1st Gen: Actually Got a Security Update

So this morning I received a notification about a new security update for 5.1 with patches up to march 2016.
Pretty impressive that Moto still pushed this out for a phone launched in 2013

so how can I get this on my rooted xt1033??

I think to get OTAs you need unmodified system partition.

My XT1033 is rooted and I still got the update notification, though I haven't updated yet.
Will it remove root access?

even if it does, you can root again

With Root-access file explorer, browse to /cache and the OTA zip should be obvious. Copy / move to /SDCARD. Do this after accepting download but prior to flashing it.

um on indian firmware, rooted didn't get any notification.

It's only a security update, with the majority of changes being related to files in /system/lib. On the surface, Android will be no different at all.

please post for asia firmware

Here's the US version attached.
My system version is reported as 221.21.58.falcon_umts.AWSRetail.en.US, but when I try to install the Moto update from TeamWin, it tells me that the package expects .../falcon_umts:5.1/LPBS23 etc../release keys and that I have .../falcon_umts:4.4.3/KBX21.14 etc../release keys.
Any idea?

It's mostly the recent stagefright patches + other security stuff it seems

This update broke my gf's system, she was running the brazilian 5.1, rooted with TWRP recovery installed.
Don't install this unless you flash stock recovery again and unroot, or flash the full firmware again, then apply OTAS, then root and install your custom recovery. (as usual with any OTA on a rooted system).
So good that Motorola had supported our phone for 2 years, could'nt be more satisfied.

You broke your gf system, by updating without firstly restoring everything to stock, next time think before acting

will optimised stock rom's recieve this update?

OxygenOS 2.2.3 OTA for OnePlus X

Hi all,
OnePlus started the incremental roll-out of OxygenOS 2.2.3 for the OnePlus X.
This is a prerequisite for the coming Marshmallow of OnePlus X.

Here are some highlights:
Implemented September Android security patches
Added necessary dependencies for Marshmallow upgrade
As always, this OTA will be incremental.
Weird issues:
This OTA will prevent you from rooting your phone through King root. So you can't root after the update.
Note:
There is no Quadrooter patch yet. But after Marshmallow update we may get it.

Today OnePlus released 3.1.2 accidentally and blocked it. Maybe a bug is stopping them.

Can't find a zip actually. But update's available right now in oos 2.2.2 and it's just a 17 MB of size. Just flash OOS 2.2.2 and check for update.
Should I say this???? You all know this dudes.

U can flash OTA if you have non rooted stock rom. No matter TWRP. Just don't flash on a rooted stock recovery.
Or use stock recovery Dude!!!

Oh man! OnePlus is filling my notification area with that update. Yes I downgraded to OOS 2.2.2
I don't know why you are not getting the update.
Anyways the truth is nothing so new in this you better flash custom roms that's a cool thing.

Yes you have to downgrade to OOS 2.2.2 in order to receive the 2.2.3 OTA.

Hello, after installing the 2.2.3 OTA, my OPX is facing serious issues. My launcher has stopped responding and phone is dead because of that. It's a serious bug. Help please!!!

Really dude! Try to factory reset (you have to your golden data) and everything should be fine. And checkout there's a weird marshmallow update blocked by OnePlus.

Finally got the real 7.1.1. For the z play droid!

As of 3:45 a.m. this morning I couldn't believe what I was seeing thanks Verizon it's about time still messing around with it (7.1.1.) I'll let you know how it goes like it so far oh yeah I'm on the east coast S.C. THANKS AGAIN AND GOD BLESS EVERYONE!!!

What is the safe way to install the 7.1 OTA? I've already been notified about it.

Safe way is to flash everything from bootloader with a full package... OTA is to be avoided if you modified system and recovery.

Safest way is to flash my 7.1.1 stock rom, if you decide you don't like 7.1.1 you can safely move back or forth to any rom. Taking the OTA means you can't or should downgrade or you could end up hard bricked.

Yeah, I see. But the latest avaible full RETEU firmware is NPN25.137-24-1 and flashing this is not safe. Can I flash RETAIL april patch instead?

Got the update too but is your home button with Google animation? Mine turned into pixel home button 2 hours after the update

What did you use to root the Verizon model? I thought it can't be done.

It was a long wait but i got it over here ( netherlands ) also.
No issues so far.

how to do that plz ? can i start the OTA and when downloaded i stop the update process, boot twrp, and flash the downloaded ota file ?
