Help! I can't charge after enter the Factory Mode.. - X Style (Pure) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I entered the factory mode, and something weird appeared...
If I rebooted it into normal mode, I can't charge my phone(Absolutely, the usb can't do anything)...
If I shut down my phone or enter the factory mode, I can charge my phone.
I wiped and flash the stock, but it can't solve the problem..
How can I return to the state before I entered the factory mode?
Help!

He means to say bootloader mode kindoff i guess...

Well, fastboot the entire rom into your device. Should fix your issue.

This doesn't even make sense... just entering fastboot mode won't change anything, unless the OP did something... perhaps if we had more information, it seems the OP has more knowledge of what's going on then it appears since they know how to wipe and flash stock. :/

Fastboot oem config help youll see options for chare mode off/on.

[HELP] SGH-I337M Boots first into D/L Mode

I have a phone I am fixing for a friend, so I don't have a complete accurate history of what happened, so please bare with me.
Basically, you put the battery in and it boots right to download mode (Factory Mode), no power button required. I can then reboot it using the power, hold down the Vol-Down button and then I am prompted if I want to enter D/L mode, in which you can use Vol-Down to cancel and it boots like normal.
I have tried the following, nothing fixes it!
Factory Wipe
Root using CF-Auto Root
Every Key Combination Possible on Boot
Odin Stock Install
Kies Upgrade (just stalls on that)
It was not rooted when I got it, and now it is. I haven't installed any recovery yet, but am willing too. It has possible water damage, so it ain't going back to the store anytime soon. I can't even get USB Debugging to appear that it is connected, nor will ADB recognize it. But the USB is working and read/writing.
This isn't my first time working with this sort of stuff, I am just at my wits end, plus I'm a Sony/HTC/LG person, so if there is something I am missing with this wonderful(ly crappy) bootloader, let me know.
Thanks in advance!

If you can hold the vol-down and home button when you boot it up and get into Odin mode you should be about to flash the stock MD5 for your phone. Stock Canadian Odin files here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2269304
Also make sure to use the lastest version of Odin, 3.07 I believe. After you are done flashing with Odin you will have to boot into Recovery (vol-up when booting) and do a factory reset. This has always fixed any boot problems with my phone.

So did you go into settings, more, developer mode to check usb/debug?
USB debugging isn't required to flash the Odin MD5. One thing I did notice is that you should boot into Odin download mode before connecting your USB cable. I was having issues with Odin not detecting my phone and waiting to connect the USB cable solved that.

Duh...
I was referring going to adb fastboot
see the thing is that flashing did work fine, it just didn't fix the problem. I guess in Samsung terms I am stuck in Odin download mode when turning the phone on. This is why I wanted to see of I could push some standard reboot command via adb to see of it would "jig" it into place, but no matter what I try it always boots into download mode first.
and yes, I did turn on usb debugging

Could you have bent pins maybe where you plug it in? Its doing exactly what a jig would do..

Nothing is wrong with the pins, USB is working fine and can be used in any other mode. I got ADB finally, I guess it was just not playing nice with me before. However, still anything I try the bloody thing still insists on booting first into download mode.
Just an update, it is still booting into download mode, tried a couple different stocks and still no good result. Anyone suggest any of the options in Odin might help work? Like F Reset Time or Phone EFS Clear?

I have seen this elsewhere, one guy suggested, using Keis, and it took him 2-3 times to get the stock to stick.
As far as checking those items in odin, could brick the phone. he also said, he got nowhere using odin in this situation.
Have you tried maybe flashing a recovery via odin? could be the recovery is corrupt.
what does this mean: in which you can use Vol-Down to cancel and it boots like normal. <<< Can you boot to the OS?
I can imagine your frustration here...good luck.
I did try Kies and it would keep getting stuck at 10% (I let it sit overnight) so I had no luck with that...

Yes, I have gone from stock recovery to CMW and back to Stock and still nothing. As for you other question, yes, I can boot into Android. The downside is I can't turn the phone off unless the battery is pulled out. This is why I bought an HTC One and not an S4 lol .. thank god this isn't my phone, but it is frustrating because of all the things I've tried to do to fix it.

[Q] process.com.android.systemui has stopped

i recently tried to edit my build.prop file on my LG G2 (LS980). i changed
Code:
ro.build.product=G2
to
Code:
ro.build.product=g2
(using root explorer, and mounted r/w) because i read that they should be lower case, and since my phone wouldn't update i decided to see if it would work. rebooted and got the error. the error is so bad that i cant even use my phone. the front touch buttons are missing and i cant tap anything except for the power off/reeboot/enter airplane mode. Also, 9 times out of 10 when i power off, the sprint spark logo appears then screen goes black, then reappears and turns the phone back on. furthermore, when i plug it in to my pc i cannot change it from MTP mode, and im not sure if i still have usb debugging checked. the lg mobile support tool wont recognize that a device is connected even with the latest drivers. ALSO, i cannot enter stock recovery! last night when i first got the error i entered it once, but i decided to look for other options as to how to fix the error rather than wiping. but now I WISH i wiped my phone then, because no matter what i do now, the phone wont go into recovery mode. i don't have TWRP or CWM, and i am rooted. I'm a noob and i don't know what to do at this point, can anyone help me?
i have tred looking for some sort of software that can let me access the phones settings directly through usb, but no luck. i dont even know if such a thing exists.

[EDIT] i can enter download mode, im in it now. should i just run KDZ or what do i have to do in order to make this work?

What can i do??

help! need to factory reset and screen is not responsive

I shattered the screen of my 2015 X pure.
I am sending it back to Motorola for screen replacement.
I want to factory reset, but the screen is not responsive. I can see the screen.. well the lock screen, as touching anywhere on the screen does nothing.
i have tried to hold power button 10 seconds to turn off... from there i can hold power and down volume until enter bootloader mode.. or whatever that is.... I cannot see anyway to factory reset from there either!!
It is bad enough that i cannot get the files off the phone because, thanks to Marshmellow, you can no longer just hook up to computer and have it open a folder.. it goes in in a different mode now, and you have to change it on hte phone.... which i can't do... lucky me.. .isn't progress great?
Anyway, if someone can help me, it'd be appreciated.
thanks.
TWRP custom recovery enables adb and mtp without any touches, so you could recover your files via usb if you have TWRP. Was your bootloader unlocked? It has to be to run TWRP, and you have to enable a setting with the touchscreen to allow bootloader unlocking. If your bootloader is unlocked and you have, or are willing to install TWRP then I think you can get at your files. If your bootloader is locked I think your stuck.
Fastboot will work to factory reset with no touchscreen if you must. While in that bootloader mode plug it into a PC and use the following commands:
Code:
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase cache
Pretty much same thing as a factory reset, no touchscreen required. Now those lenovo techs won't be able to check out all your funny cat pictures.
Don't have a working fastboot/adb PC? Check out Heisenberg's guide for how to set that up.

[XT1575] Stock locked/Unrooted stuck in bootloop, can't unlock bootloader

Wife's phone got stuck in a bootloop last night, just stayed on the moto logo. Tried wiping cache and then data from recovery. phone now boots to moto then a black screen. I can see the device in fastboot, but not in recovery. I want to unlock the phone so that I can reflash the OS either from a custom recovery or from fastboot, but since I cant fully boot, I cant get to the developer options. This phone has never been unlocked/rooted or anything.
Is there a way to unlock the bootloader without going into the developer options and enabling it?

No there is no way to unlock bootloader without allowing OEM unlock, you're gonna wanna flash the latest version of stock available for your phone. Unfortunately I'm not very familiar with the commands so maybe another user can chime in here!

You cannot unlock BL without "allow oem unlock" enabled.
Usb debugging you can't enable with fastboot.
You can try to erase with commands:
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase customize
fastboot reboot
Give it some time.
How long are you waiting for it to boot after a factory reset? This can take 30 minutes... sometimes more.

I've waited at least 20 mins (not really timing it.) but with the black screen (screen on, not displaying anything) after the boot screen, how can I be sure its actually doing anything?
Honestly... Locked and stock there isn't much you can do. If we had the latest firmware image, maybe, but we are a release behind with no way knowing when, or if, we will ever get the current one.
There are two likely cases here for the cause of this problem... Actually, the cause is corruption of data on the internal emmc chip, the reason behind that corruption is the issue. It is either a faulty emmc chip or a fluke from cosmic radiation, static electricity, or who knows what. Either way, there since a factory reset isn't fixing it and we don't have a current firmware image your only option is send it in to Moto or replace it.

You can select factory reset by pressing the volume button . Factory reset will come up. Select by pressing power button and press again to wipe.

Same issue on one I have my hands on. This could get interesting.
From fastboot can anything be pushed/flashed like a previous actually functional firmware? Is there other specific software to do so? Only got my hands on the defective non functional device today but I'm planning and scheming a fix if possible.
One thing is really interesting. Why only after this update???? Why not after update from 6 to 7 then 7 to 7.1 and after 7.1 to 8.0. I think Google or Huawei is cheating us and forcing us to buy Google pixel.
I also have this issue (I'm using a nexus 5x, but this thread is the closest to my issue I've found), but it came incrementally. First, I started getting reboots every 20m or so, while doing normal phone things (reading, mostly). Then it started getting into bootloops that were 2-3 boots long, and would then work normally for the 20m mentioned above. I tried a factory reset, but it just got worse, and now either reboots on the Google logo or during the Android animation. My fastboot menu only has the regular "Start" as green. The only other options are Restart Bootloader, in red, and Recovery mode, also in red. Power off is there, obviously, but that's it. It started happening yesterday, and worsened to its current point within only a few hours.
Well. I have just joined the club. What is going on with that?
Happened to me today and I was using the latest build of SuperXE 6P.
Guys! lol
1. Dev options in ROM is same old. Settings/about and tap build 10 times to see count down to developer. Back to settings. In there for OEM unlock
2. Factory reset can be done any number of ways.
a. In ROM. Settings/backup and reset/factory reset.
b. From anywhere, hold power+volume down until you see the bootloader. There are 2 possible screens in there. One of them has factory reset. Beware! From here it will likely wipe your sdcard!
c. From recovery. You can get there from bootloader. You can also flash an up to date recovery image from bootloader.
The rest of your recovery process should be provided by the ROM thread by which you will get your choice of ROM.
Make sure you have access to a PC with adb. You will likely need to flash a vendor image
My device is only recognized in fastboot mode. No ADB, no recovery. Tried to uninstall and manually install latest USB drivers, it didn't work. My Nexus is now just stucked in a bootloop. I even tried to flash factory images to no avail. Really don't know what to do...
FYI I have no screen in bootloader allowing me to factory reset: only Start/Reboot/Reboot bootloader/Barcodes, as others stated above.
