Lollipop currently rolling out to XT063 on Brazil (Jan 22)

Hello everyone, great news. I own a XT1063 in Brazil and I just received and installed an OTA for Lollipop.
My friend has a XT1069 and my brother has a XT1068, both of them haven't received the update so far. (this is a popular phone here)
All the three of us are using the newest version of Motorola Update Services posted in this thread I created, you might need to download and install that APK in order to get the update.
The version I received is 5.0.2, screenshots below:

Download the newest version of MotorolaOTA going to the thread I mentioned.

USA rollout also happening
I am getting the OTA right now.

edit:The link for Motorola Update Services 7.0.1 is dead.

I suppose dual Sim requires some major modification, and what's the root of the evil.

Interesting, the build date is just like 5 mins before the indian OTA 5.0.2

Ok that might be a good reason ,but why is india then getting the final OTA now? They have the dual Sim variant too. Is Motorola afraid of being taken to court or something by european users if something doesn´t work ?

Might be the reason. European laws are tough.

Rogers: 6.0.1 Update July 21st

Guys i dont want to disappoint you but i think it will be an 6.0 version and not 6.0.1 because none of the g4 variants is running on 6.0.1 and i think not even korean models. It will be sth like v20h vor uk only some bug fixes and newer security patch... But anyways we'll see it.

Then Rogers needs to fix their table. It says 6.0.1 And anyways what is the problem and LG can't update to 6.0.1 it's a minor update after all. I think they will let their phones die update wise. I don't see them putting any effort to update them. I could accept the missing 6.0.1 only in the case they got plans to skip it and go directly to 7.0 but yeah I'm dreaming considering they are unwilling to give us even the security patches.

I can remember that they said a few months ago as the g5 was released that 6.0.1 is exclusivly and only for the g5 and upcoming phones if they stay true to their politics then u will get 6.0 if not then,i am,wondering,why the other,unlocked variants are still on 6.0
Anyways we have to wait it out and proove me if i am mistaken somewhere

Yeah I'm pretty annoyed its not 6.0.1 as I've been waiting for the bluetooth bugs that are fixed in 6.0.1.
On the plus side the security patch finally closed up the Stagefright vulnerabilities

April 2017 security patch for Moto Z Play

I found the April 2017 patch for the Z Play this morning. Apparently, it's rolling out to the RETBR software channel. I sideloaded it on my Canadian Moto Z Play.

Indeed.. I always read some guys saying that they do a hard reset after each update ¬¬

Cant install it via TWRP on a rooted phone, bcos of error 7. There has to be a way...

Good to know that we get updates. But it would be nice to get android 7.1 to get the dynamic app-shortcuts in pixel launcher working. Or get we directly android O?

You can't flash an official OTA file with TWRP. You'd need to use stock recovery and possibly Un-Rooted also.

eu-update is out over ota. No 7.1.2, but 04/17-patch
Edit: For me the battery is better now. No draining anymore. Good update. Has done anything good

I have just check for updates. Then it was there and ready to download and install. Maybe you must wait few days until you get it, too. That's because roll out not directly to everybody.

If you have the XDA app on your phone you can subscribe to a couple of threads dedicated to the topic. But honestly, I would not get worked up over the update. Once the roll out starts it could take days for you to get it as major updates are typically released over a period of days to minimize server loads and other issues.

Agreed.

No one is gonna release/leak the soak test files... The old days are gone.. all are selfish.. just put screenshot and showoff... but they ain't wrong as it is very difficult to get into soak test.. and if they follow up nda they will be there for future tests also

yah, i wouldn't say that they're selfish, there's likely a risk in violating that NDA. we're not entitled to anything.

Nope and none of us ever will regardless of carrier lol. I had switched to the Axon 7 but I had so many issues with data connectivity and WiFi so I returned it. I'll wait to see what I get next.

The answer is no... No one on Metro PCS, or any other carrier has gotten it yet because it hasn't been released to the public. The only people who have it are testers that are part of MFN. Patience, your not missing out on anything.

Ain't this some sh1t. 7.1.1 for a phone released a month before ours lol, this is Android Authority reporting this.

I'm really losing hope for this phone. I might just go for the 3T if they don't release an update that fixes the display issues.

Oreo is still in beta version. You can get the update if you wish via the Nokia beta labs program. Just look it up, sign up and register your phone's IMEI and it should prompt you for and update within 12 hours.

As far as I can tell Android 8 has been released in at least Vietnam and India.

In Czech Republic is no Oreo. Still only beta.

Need I Oreo beta for this update or is 7.1.2. sufficient.
I hope that the kill apps bug is gone in Oreo final.

7.12 will be fine to get Oreo, it may just take a few more days maybe

I don't tink being in the beta changes anything. I'm in the beta and still don't have it. It's just a phased rollout, we need to wait for it to spread.
