Eonon GA6173F *root* - Android Head-Units

I am wondering if anyone has this exact head unit that has done a root and installed a rooted rom?
What I am looking for is this unit comes with 5.1. Lollipop. Well I was told it would be able to mirror my phone to the head unit as well as run an iPod (as there is an iPod app on the screen). I am looking for a rom that might increase this to the marshmallow operating system and allow screen mirroring as well as the iPod functionality. Anyone have any suggestions or work around that have worked for them?
Just saw I needed to post this information as well....
MCU VERSION

by the way I am a noob...
Thanks in advance for any advice given,
Brad

Is there an update for this unit software?
I was wondering with my information below is there a safe update for the software? Does it need to be rooted or just installed? THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

As you can see in my previous post my MCU Version android version 5.1.1 (trying to get 6.0) kernel and build. anyone else have this same MCU version and such that has updated the firmware and or rom?
Also wanting to back up old firmware or rom is there a way to go about doing this. been many years since I have done this and it was on my Samsung phones. So if you could walk me through the steps I would be greatly appreciative...
Brad

Hi.
Did you have any luck rooting this yet.
I'm getting one soon so i hope mine will be pre-rooted like some sellers on eBay do.
hi there,
I've tried to root it may time using various different rooting apk still no joy, so i have given up for the time being. if there is some out there that has rooted this stereo i would greatly appreciate the help sorting mine.
Hi again.
I just purchased the same radio as you have on eBay last night and i will let you know if the seller rooted it or not. By the way, are you happy with yours or not. From everything I've seen about this, it is one of the best you can get at the moment.
Possible root...
I have an Xtrons D766A which looks like a similar unit. I used KingRoot (found on XDA) and Super-SU-me to get root.
I do not trust KingRoot but it did work and replacing it with super-SU after the rooting is done makes it more acceptable.
Standard disclaimers apply...
Good Luck!

Seeking Root for XHCN intel 9853 Head Unit

Hi all
I might have bought the only android device in the entire China, that is un-root-able. :crying:
It is a ZOYOSKII fra Aliekspress with following info:
10,4" screen
Android 9 PIE
CPU Info: CPU:Intel X86_OCTA-CORE 1.8Ghz SC9853 4+64Gb
MCU Version: 2019.10.15 09:51:58 XHCN_53_l82_G23P48F64_Ver:1.0
It seems like the "new" intel processors is not the most used in the industri.
The only other i have seen, is the Joying devices, but i havent been able to find a root that i dear to use on this unit.
Can you help with a root-build for this or can i use some allready-existing root?
Thanks.
There is no "ready to use" rooted build for any SC9853 unit.
You need to use the way as described in the Joying thread and build your own rooted boot.img.

1st of all: You need to get in contact with your seller to get the OEM firmware.
2nd: Install the Joying Extra tools by @surfer63
3rd: continue with posting a screenshot from the extra tool
did you end up finding any information on this unit?
I bought one off of a friend that has the same information and I can't seem to get a few things working
Do you know the Security Code for this unit?
Have you got the latest build?
3368 is the code I believe
have you got something new for your head unit. my head unit also the same, I used joying firmware and root but not compatible
I have the same headunit, has anyone figured out how to root this device from this seller (ZOYOSKII)? I have multiple issues with the headunit, and would be great to collaborate. Another seller (Sinosmart) has the same unit, is the firmware / rooting process the same?
I have one of these too, i need to root so I am able to hide the navbar at the top.
Any updates on this? I just bought a used car with this already installed. I just want carplay and a newer version update.

Wow no response...
Anyone anyone?
I have the exact same unit, which i purchased almost 2 years ago. The MCU is 2018 and outdated. I just started having issues with the wifi not wanting to turn on, actualy it goes directly back to off as soon as you press it. Normally it auto connects to my hot spot. Is there anyone that can help walk through an update ? Secaine is non responsive on MCU updates. Well actually they responded but i will have better luck jumping off of a 50 story building than getting help from them.

Can I upgrade the software on this head unit?

Are we I recently purchased a head unit off of alibaba. The manufacturer is Clyde and the model number is KD-1243. I'm trying to see if I can update the firmware or at the very least do a Is stock firmware install. The MCU is listed as CSM 4

Looks like there was no reply to this. I have a similar situation and considering flashing a stable ROM whilst retaining CARPLAY. Appreciate any advice steering in the right direction. Thanks.

Hello everyone,
I am using an Android head unit which I purchased from China. I unfortunately lost the contact details of the dealer i bought it from. The Android version installed on it is version 5.1.1 which is basically useless as I cannot install any apps. I am wondering if any of you has had experience in this headunit. I am attaching a screen shot of the system.
Thank you
OS: Android 5.1.1 (fake), actually Android 4.4.2
