Hello!
I have just got a new LG G2!
I want to root it, but I'm a little bit confused atm:
1) Rooting the device using IORoot does not change the kernel or recovery, does it? (I'll be rooted runnig stock and won't be able to flash stuff)
2) If I want to create a nandroid backup, I have to flash first CWM/TWRP. So how can I make a nandroid backup for my current unrooted and runnig stock phone?
3) Can I backup my EFS files without a custum recovery (with root only)?
4) Is that correct that after each rom I flash, the phone needs to be rooted again?
Thanks!
1. Yes
2. You use the cwm. Or twrp to make the backup.
3. Not sure, have always been rooted sui never looked for a way to do that.
4. No, I've never had to reroot after installing any rom.

Hi guys, i have the Zenfone 2 with the last LL update.
I would like to upgrade to 6 but I have some doubts. If I do the update via sideload I will lose TWRP? If I lose I will have to do unlock the Bootloader again?
Yes, as has been said many times before, it will relock and the new bootloader will replace twrp. But it's easy to get it back. just use the tool found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3458145

Another question, after uptade to 6 and i wish to get back to 5.0, i can use the twrp backup ?
Before i made any change on my phone, i use the twrp backup, if anything goes wrong, i reload the backup and get back my phone

I'm not sure, but at the same time Asus published the update to Android 6, they also uploaded a zip to go back to Android 5. I guess you could sideload that one, unlock the bootloader and flash twrp again to have the phone as you had it.

To go back you'd need to downgrade to LP, unlock and install TWRP for LP then restore.

If i enter in bootloader and flash the LP system.img will work?
Of couse i need the flash ifwi files...
The best way is to get the LP raw file and use asus flash tool.

Im, rooted with a TWRP and unlocked BL and Xposed.
If I flash the update.zip in TWRP, what happens?
- Does my phone format?
- Will I retain everything except TWRP, root and Xposed?
Please let me know what would happen if I flashed the ROM via TWRP. Thank you.
Where did you get the update.zip?
Why do not a backup and watch yourself @EnzoDC.
What do you have for a version where do you get it?
I have only the L-31_151 version update.zip..... but not the 161.
Senaxo, cause I heard that when you flash firmware itll remove, root and recov. So backup is pretty useless. Get it? So I wanna know if what happens if I flash.
I have the update.zip installed and everything was removed, since you are right.
Then I had to re-set everything up and re-flash TWRP.
But then I could restore the backup without problems.

If you flash through twrp, you only lose root.
If you flash it through erecovery(stock recovery),your bootloader is relocked and you lose root.
And AGAIN,where did you get the 161 update from?
If I flash via twrp, I only lose root? So I still retain my TWRP recov? Answer me first then Ill reveal ????

You are really sassy, man. You aren't in any position to make demands,we are trying to help you and us at the same time.
As I said in my post, you only lose root if you flash the update.zip through TWRP,your bootloader will remain unlocked. However, after flashing the update.zip, you will lose twrp so just reflash twrp after booting into the rom.
@The Marionette B161 Firmware is an Asia version, maybe it will also come for us,
here the version update.zip

I wasnt demanding lol. You still have a choice to answer or not. But since you did..
Scroll down this link and youll see B161:
https://www.boycracked.com/2016/09/...s-l31-stock-rom/amp/?client=ms-android-huawei
That is both in Europe and Asia FYI.
Anyone use the Huawei Firmware Finder (Team MT) http://forum.xda-developers.com/tools/general/huawei-firmware-finder-team-mt-t3469146
There seems to be a B170 update for the VNC-L31-C900 model
The version is only for China ..only China language??
I think China uses other phone method... Like something MHz baseband... I think. It will messed up your network, cannot make phone calls, send sms or no network at all, in worst case scenario.
Respected sir

The easiest way to unroot and return back to stock is to flash either the NPJ25.93-14 Dec 2016 firmware (https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/moto-g4-plus-xt1640-43-athene-npj25-93-t3549369) or the NPJS25.93-14.4 March 2017 firmware https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/stock-rom-npjs25-93-14-4-march-1-t3608138
Both can be flashed via fastboot, instructions are included with either stock ROM. Flashing these will return you back to Nougat stock, without root as they replace your kernel, system and recovery with stock. There are scripts to flash without re-locking your bootloader as well. However, the steps will likely involve erasing your data, ensure you have the necessary files backed up and saved off your internal storage (preferably on your computer).
Hi
Does anyone have a full NANDROID Original Stock of a OnePlus 5? And will a full backup restore help lock the bootloader or needs to be in Manual Mode?
My phone was bought in UK. It's Stock Recovery and Oxygen OS 4.5.3 but can't flash the bootloader to oem LOCK.
Due to warranty issues since i'm giving my phone member i need to re-stock it.
Please Help.
How did you brick it? Can you get into fastboot? Can you get into recovery?

Unlocking the bootloader does not void your warranty with OnePlus phones.
Also, even if anyone had a nandroid backup at the moment, restoring /data using TWRP will cause bootloops. As long as you can get into fastboot/bootloader mode, you can safely flash stock recovery and then flash the full stock ZIP provided by OnePlus.

Why does restoring data gives you bootloops?
I have this problem now and canĀ“t figure out why does restoring nandroid wont work
Download the full original firmware from oneplus site, flash via adb, it will works don't worry
